@@4kUrbanLife , I wonder how many miles of roads that there are on the Island of Oahu? When I was doing research on Test Drive Unlimited 1 and 2, I heard that they not only had, more or less, mapped the entirety of the Island of Oahu, but that there were also something around 1,000 mil;es of road that were pretty close to the way that the roads are in real life, or, at least in real life, according to the year 2006, anyway. Are their claims accurate, or are there actually more roads than they had mentioned?
I love this video so much. Most videos contain footage of tourist hot spots but I want to see what the average Hawaiian citizen would see each day as though I was one of them and not a tourist. This video fills that need. Thank you so much for this.
In 2008, I played the game "Test drive unlimited" on my computer, and now ,years later, I remember the moments of this beautiful toy: the same houses, roads, nature landscape...the island of Oahu. Everything is so realistically done that when I watch this beautiful video clip with beautiful background music, I feel like I'm going back 10 years and playing this beautiful game !!! P.S. The sound of the road, inside the cabin of a vehicle is pretty relaxing on its own. The tires on the pavement, the acoustics vibrating through the pressurized interior is pretty good white noise for relaxation. The music isnt a bad choice tho, but i agree.. if thats what u mean by 'native'... native to the the environment of cruising down the road
I visited Oahu in March 2007. It was the best vacation I've ever taken. Hawaii is my favorite state. Lanikai Beach is the best beach on the island and the most beautiful. Awesome video. Thank you!

Starting from Pali Hwy, circle island by Likelike Hwy through NorthShore, Hawaii Kai carry on driving H1 to Makaha!! Thank you so much for your long drive and upload. I need to drive in Hawaii 2 weeks later and tried to recall directions as I have been driving opposite side of the road last 12 years. It was fantastic video for me. Also I have been wondering how is Makaha like last 30 years as just I have been to till Maili. The last beach in the west, Keawaula Beach is untouched and beautiful. It looks like our beach in NewZealand. Mahalo Nui Loa
how come you faded parts of Ala Moana blvd? you were going north/west, then near ROSS store you faded and all the sudden were going east/south, then near the park you skipped ahead to the Prince hotel? enjoyed it but didn't notice this till i watched it again. one drive you could do if bored is go from Ft. Derussay Chapel to H1 via Ala Moana dr. i drove that to work at 6;30am and never got to see things in daylight.
Yeah that screwed me up. I was all excited to see Pearl City and Aiea then all of a sudden the ocean was on the opposite side and we're headed to Waikiki.

I use to live in Oahu back in the 50s and loved it. Now the poor island has so damn many ugly glass high rise buildings and overcrowded roads, I won't be visiting there anymore. And yes, this video really needs Hawaiian music!
