Great video! If at first.. Amazing how you've managed to get these goshawks to take to you so well, I've seen that they can be vicious little characters, but these seem quite fine, so I guess that you're "pushing the right buttons".. Good luck next season!
What an interesting video! Loved that. Ponds and birds of prey - glad I discovered your channel very enjoyable. Shame they didn't hatch, but good luck for next year. Wish you all the very best! Tom.
@@scotthendersonKoiAndHawks In Indonesia, the goshawk population is very critical and no one has ever been able to carry out artificial insemination. I happen to have a female goshawk that is being prepared to mate, but I don't have the male. In an area 200 kilometers from my residence. There is someone who has a male goshawk that has produced semen, but the owner does not have a female goshawk. I planned to ask for the male semen to be sent to where I live, but it took almost 3 days. Can this be done without killing the sperm cells inside?
Seman will last a few days if kept cool you might just have a chance. I'd be tempted to ask the guy for a few shots and I'd possible drive over and get it in the day that way you could inseminate the same day and still have a couple that will stay fresh in the fridge for a few more days 👍
@@scotthendersonKoiAndHawks How do you store the cement while traveling so that it lasts a long time? Can it be stored in an airtight place like a jar? what is the ideal temperature?
