Trying to get knowledge of Raptors before going hands on as a volunteer before starting as an apprentice. This is the most informative video i have seen so far. Thank you very much for making and sharing it. Knowledge is precious to me.
Well done for bringing this fantastic and informative film to the fore.I can remember many years ago,, this being released..Groundbreaking at the time, for someone to put this knowledge onto film, for others to learn from .Now with the internet ,the availability of information is so easy to access which today's falconers are extremely fortunate to have .This film whilst still spot on, and first-class in 2021 ..was very special indeed when it was released.Indebted to Dave Jones for sharing this with us all those years ago.Looking forward to part 2.Many Thanks Scott
Fantastic video. Retired from South Africa faloner here. Had 2 imprint birds, an African Goshawk and an African Peregrine. I found the screaming and mantling very annoying. Never thought of them as pets. They owned me not vice versa. Anthropomorphism is not me, I guess.
It's all about food if you just give it to them they will scream every time they see you thinking your giving it to them. Make them work for it and when feeding in the pen use a Shute so they don't see you. If you catch it early enough there should be no problems 👍
For a GosHawker this a piece of gold! Thank you for this amazing video❤
Thank you for sharing! Goshawk are my favorites, love the bird

Nesting material ( Why Rosemary , as opposed to other material )
Rosemary is an antiseptic
It has a strong smell wich is also an insect repellent
Searched and searched but no part 2 ?
Proof that the Goshawk is the ultimate 'stealth' raptor. 🤣
Dying to see part 2 now. Any ideas?
