- Day 4 in Japan!
We travelled down to Ōkunoshima, Hiroshima, to visit some adorable bunnies! The island is abundant with these cute little critters, and made for a wonderful day trip. The island is also a gorgeous site to see, and I definitely recommend a trip there if you can!

This is unreal. you have a forest, tennis court, campground, swimming pool all while being mauled by bunnies! And to top it all off , you have a WW2 chemical death camp to check out. Has to be one of the top 10 coolest travel destinations in the world. Definetley on my bucket list
I am so greatfull that the people of, Japan take so good care of the animals. I hope they help the, sick one also.

Came here after watching treecko CD from Mumbai. Was looking for some AR snaps and then realised Pokemon go wasn't even a thing at that time, lol! Entire vlog is filled with cuteness.
sorry how you arrive on the island? You take the train to Tadanoumi station and later? There is a ferry or something? thanks for your help
+TheUnbreakableDuke Yeah after you get off the train at Tadanoumi station, exit the station to the main road and head right. As you are walking down this street you will see signs for Tadanoumi Port where you catch the ferry to the island :) I think the ferry was only around $10/¥1000 return.

We went too, but they didn't much like the food we bought them (th-cam.com/video/GAIODriyxBI/w-d-xo.html). What did you feed them?
We just got some pellets from the ferry terminal :) Going to take them some veggies next time though :)
They seem to have no fear of people
+rande stuart Yeah, snacks from humans are one of their main food sources, so they are pretty chilled out with people. You can pat them etc, but they aren't fond of being picked up.
I've had Rabbits for most of my life,yeah,rabbits don't like to be picked up for the most part,they will hop on your lap,or crawl up on you if you're laying on the floor.Do they sell rabbit food there or must you bring it? I understand there's a hotel,and you can stay over there.I've been to Japan twice,i wish I had known about rabbit island,now i'll have to make a third trip...thanks for the info Zoe [great name bye the way]
They sell the rabbit food on the main land! When you purchase your ferry tickets the lady selling tickets also sells bags of food. They have a pretty large box full of small bags of pellets so it's easy to notice. I'm pretty sure that bags were only 100 or 200 yen. You are also welcome to bring rabbit friendly vegetables onto the island with you!

Thanks Zoe,good to know,i'll have to make my 3rd trip to Japan,just to visit Rabbit Island.My friends say i'll never come back if I go...getting a new bunny in a couple mos,can't wait,miss their cute butts and tails,hops,ear cleaning,standing up...you know...thanks again Zoe
