The farm is our neighbour in our summer house. The bunny was king of the barn. The sheep was terrified of him because he bit their legs if they didn't obey him. His best friend was a chicken...
That bunny is so adorable...... As someone who owns pet rabbits, I am not surprised, they are very intelligent little beings. Most people keep them outside and they never blossom into the pets they can be. They can be littler box trained, and are just as intelligent as a cat or dog.
The sheep must have seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail. "Look that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!" "RUN AWAY!!! RUN AWAY!!!
This is the most unbelievable, gorgeous, astonishing thing I have ever seen! What an audacious little creature! That’s a million dollar bunny - literally! 😂🥰🐰
Rabbits are pretty smart. I'd say they have intelligence on par with rats. They can learn from experience, solve problems, and learn through imitation. It's amazing to see just how much they can learn. Keep herding you clever bunny.
Champis is soooo cute and adorable! Funny how the actual sheepdog is just standing around while the little bun is doing all the work, LOL! Small but mighty!!!
I had to look up the meaning of the message at the end, written in Swedish: "This film is dedicated to Tay 1365/2001, one of our very special girls, who unfortunately is no longer with us."
Well, we train our Rottweilers (which are herders, by the way) to herd sheep, and these sheep are clearly showing respect for the rabbit. I've seen sheep not show nearly that much respect for some dogs. Notice the sheep that starts to paw the ground (a move indicating challenge) and then immediately moves off the challenge. The rabbit is actually moving and holding the sheep. What a fun video!!!! The little song is precious....Thank you!!!!!!!!
My mother absolutely LOVES this video. Is there anyway I can buy a DVD of this? She is so afraid that one day it will no longer be on TH-cam and she will miss seeing it.
It appears otherwise but that rabbit is actually trying get those sheep/lama/yaks (whatever they are :) to chase him. If you've ever had a pet rabbit you know they absolutely love the game of being chased and they often start it going. As for "rabbit pie", I prefer to think of it as a pie FOR the rabbit filled with all sorts of goodies he likes to eat :)
Frederickewing Kong and a bit. It has an amazing day and the Three main thing I want you are a bit. It has an amazing day and the Three main thing I want you are a bit. It has an
Some also just like doing the chasing. We had a little 5 or 6 lb rabbit who would antagonize our boxer dog. 🤣 She also tackled the 16 lb tabby cat once because he went poking around her den while she was out on a run. That rabbit took crap from nobody. We had her for 10 years before she passed away late in 2019.
No kidding. It was really disturbing to watch an amazing pet working, while someone is singing about butchering him. How about playing Hannibal Lecter's sick monologues while showing vids of your children playing? Gross.
Have you never read the Tale of Peter Rabbit? It's a song. What is being said in the song is not really happening. These people love their pet bunny and weren't going to be eating him. Also, the rabbit isn't listening to the song; even if it did, it wouldn't understand it - after all, the song is in English and the rabbit is in Sweden, plus, it's a rabbit.
Also, the song is advising the rabbit to run to avoid becoming rabbit pie: "Don't give the farmer his fun! Fun! Fun! He'll get by Without his rabbit pie So run rabbit - run rabbit - Run! Run! Run!" Lyrics from Wikipedia
It's not herding sheep, it is chasing them. There is a difference.. If the rabbit were a dog it would herd the sheep into a closing, or a different pasture, or hold them still in one place. It is like seeing a two year old boy hold a book upside down and saying "omg look he already knows how to read" It is cute yes... Is it actual "herding" no, not really... You could not accomplish anything with this rabbit chasing your sheep except for agitated sheep... Before you would like to tell me i am wrong, watch a working dog herd some sheep... There really is no comparison between these two things..
It actually IS herding them, in a way. It's a territorial rabbit and it's chasing the sheep out of its claimed area. I seems to have learned how to anticipate the way the sheep will turn, and it does specifically head them off to chase them out. Would it be useful in a herding competition? Of course not. It's certainly determined to keep those critter out of its grazing area though! ;)
wow, Look out for Champis the sheeprabbit!!...he's so fast and brave -he gets kicked over at one point as a sheep takes off fast and keeps right on going..amazing. He looks like he is having so much fun. He is sooo incredibly cute. I'm glad he has a secure place to live. Your blog is wonderful. Thank you for sharing!
What a wonderful little bunny rabbit. I been watching Champis from the start, I can not stop laughing at the little bugger, I have sent and shared with all my family and friends and everyone have enjoy watching Champis very much. I have several wild cottontails around my home and all I can do is to get a couple of them to stand up and beg for some corn lol :) Thanks so very much for sharing Champis to all of us out here.
Letting bunny be all he can be!. ...Swedish lifestyle no doubt has enhanced this critter's life...He just knows what he wants to do...The farmer loves his 'family' to enable Champis to do his thing!
Anyone who has kept a pet rabbit knows that there's more to the cute little bunny than meets the eye. Domesticated rabbits are very Machiavellian in nature, with proper reinforcement of treats, pets and praise they can do just about anything.
That cute rabbit sure has the power over those sheep (but some are probably just chasing the guy with a bucket of food, that's they think lol, most of the time). And that's a good example of why many say the weak join the herd of sheep.
Oh ein Hüte- Hase!! Der ist ganz schön angriffslustig, der beisst ja auch rein!! Ein Psycho- Hase!! Der hätte eine eigene Comic- Serie verdient! Fritz der Hüte- Hase! ;o)
Pretty impressive! I have working Australian Shepherds and although I am not going to run out and buy a rabbit for my next trainee, I do see more working instinct in that rabbit than some show bred aussies possess. He even looks like he hits noses when they challenge him;-)
This extraordinary little rabbit is redefining the boundaries of what biologists know about animal behavior & learning. Until now herding dogs only had NO such competition, except perhaps Bugs Bunny, & the Monty Python Killer Rabbit...and they weren't that interested in sheep. *Animal Hall of Fame!*
Oh that song takes me back to my childhood.... during WW2 a lot of rabbits killed for food because of Rationing .. My dad use to sing this to me...Thanks for the good memories Cheers An ex pat Sheffield...
I live in the United States and have a house rabbit. He is Pirate the lop-ear. I love this video of your rabbit. Please make more, more, more of this rabbit.
The farm is our neighbour in our summer house. The bunny was king of the barn. The sheep was terrified of him because he bit their legs if they didn't obey him. His best friend was a chicken...
+Ava Taria That's wonderful. Thanks for sharing your story.
DISNEY NEEDS TO GET ON THIS ASAP
I figured he'd bitten them all at some stage. LOL. FABulous bunny.
Probaly a horny rabbit to..
Thank you...your story makes the video even more fun.
That bunny is so adorable...... As someone who owns pet rabbits, I am not surprised, they are very intelligent little beings. Most people keep them outside and they never blossom into the pets they can be. They can be littler box trained, and are just as intelligent as a cat or dog.
That'll do, bunny. That'll do.
Katie Kunkler love the Babe reference. Excellent.
I love how the sheepdog is just hanging back letting Champis do all the work!
The sheep must have seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
"Look that rabbit's got a vicious streak a mile wide! It's a killer!"
"RUN AWAY!!! RUN AWAY!!!
😂
I am watching the holy grail now, and the rabbit scene triggered my memory of this herding rabbit. Good call.
🤣
😂😂😂😂
This is the most unbelievable, gorgeous, astonishing thing I have ever seen! What an audacious little creature! That’s a million dollar bunny - literally! 😂🥰🐰
HAHA.. Omg. this is one of the cutest things I have Ever seen... Bunny Power!
Rabbits are pretty smart. I'd say they have intelligence on par with rats. They can learn from experience, solve problems, and learn through imitation. It's amazing to see just how much they can learn. Keep herding you clever bunny.
So cute!!! What a hardworking bunny!! He's so good at his job, too!
That´ll do, rabbit. That´ll do.
I love when the bunny "talks back" to the recalcitrant sheep, tail up and ears back! That is one Bad Ass Bunny!
This is by far the best bunny video out there! You wouldn't believe it if you didn't see it with your own eyes. This si one happy little guy.
Okay, it 's final..... Now I've seen everything.
"There it is!"
"...what? Behind the rabbit?"
"It IS the rabbit!"
Champis is soooo cute and adorable! Funny how the actual sheepdog is just standing around while the little bun is doing all the work, LOL! Small but mighty!!!
This video show what i try to explain to people about rabbits, they are crazily smart, and sooo cute!
Haha what a cheeky little thing!!!

I think this is a very clever rabbit who looks like it's having lots of fun! I love the song you have to go with the video. It really enhances it.
This is the first video I watched on youtube
The first one I watched was the one with the two Asian guys lip syncing to "I Want It That Way".
On my down days, I'll watch this to cheer me up.
So cute! :D Rabbits are my favorite animals! I just love that look of that bunny.
Still the best thing to watch on TH-cam.
I used to have an angora doe that would herd my chickens.
Quite mesmerized with this video. Love the music. The whole performance is so de-stressingly therapeutic to me. Thanks.
My mother absolutely LOVES this video. Is there anyway I can buy a DVD of this? She is so afraid that one day it will no longer be on TH-cam and she will miss seeing it.
RIP LEGEND !!!!
Must've been a sheep herder in its past life lol

I would do anything to meet that bunny. I cannot tell you how much I love that bunny.
Detta är helt underbart! Tack för att vi äntligen får ta del av denna film! Så som jag längtat :)
This song playing about rabbit pie and a farmer shooting a rabbit is not appropriate.
No kidding. It was really disturbing to watch an amazing pet working, while someone is singing about butchering him. How about playing Hannibal Lecter's sick monologues while showing vids of your children playing? Gross.
Abraham son Skinned rabbit looks looks like a skinned cat..No more no less.
Have you never read the Tale of Peter Rabbit?

Would you rather he didn't encourage the rabbit to run?... Maybe you should listen to the song again.

I'm sure most people understand that it's just a cute video. Don't need a killjoy to point out the obvious.
well i apologize that i like integrity in titles...
dragonsissiy thank you! Perfectly said! 👍
All I can say is OMG! That is totally amazing....from someone who has and works stockdogs.
What a cute bunny, and so smart!
:-)
I have two rabbits, and I know they are super smart! Thank you for giving your rabbit a chance to prove himself!

Love the video. Love the song! I love old music. Perfect for the video, I think!
It's only February and already we have the best youtube video of the year?
Letting bunny be all he can be!.
...Swedish lifestyle no doubt has enhanced this critter's life...He just knows what he wants to do...The farmer loves his 'family' to enable Champis to do his thing!
Helt fantastiskt! Vi vill se mer film med Champis!
Anyone who has kept a pet rabbit knows that there's more to the cute little bunny than meets the eye. Domesticated rabbits are very Machiavellian in nature, with proper reinforcement of treats, pets and praise they can do just about anything.
another reason for me to love lagomorphs so much!
Helt underbar film!!! :) Kanin med stort ego!! Jag skrattade mycket och särskilt när Champis springer efter det ensamma fåret i full fart!!!
This is the cutest thing I've ever seen!
I adore this film. What a hunny bunny.
OMG that was about the cutest thing I've seen in a long time and that music how great
Thanks for sharing this

Good on you Champis, you show those sheep (and dogs) their place, keep going!!!
That rabbit must be named 'Pig' I love this video!
Haven't heard this song in over 40 years, childhood memories flooding back!
That rabbit is just adorable :)

LOL , it's very funny to see that little rabbit running after the sheep haha
This extraordinary little rabbit is redefining the boundaries of what biologists know about animal behavior & learning.

I now know that this will be the highlight of my day and its only 11:00 AM
I'm glad I'm not the only one who watches this repeatedly :)
Så otroligt gulligt!! Blir glad i själen
Darling! Very cute bunny!
What hilarious song is playing? My kids love it!
I have a rabbit and she loves to chase me. This behavior is adorable but doesn't surprise me! A little bit of a Napoleon Complex, methinks. :D
awwwwww Bun bun entertaining himself and seeking praise. = )
Really cute!!! We have one very like Champis, I can imagine him after sheep, and I know what would be on his mind!!
I love this video and the song too!!!
run, rabbit, run! XD
So Cute & Adorable !
Ååå.. vad gullig kanin! :) Konstigt att fåren lyder honom, han är ju så liten. Jag har också en kanin. Han ser nästan exakt ut som champis.
What a cute little bunny!
love the song and bunny!!!
this is hands down the coolest rabbit ever!
Oh my, I do beleive that this wee bit of power has gone to bunny's head.
Oh that song takes me back to my childhood.... during WW2 a lot of rabbits killed for food because of Rationing .. My dad use to sing this to me...Thanks for the good memories Cheers An ex pat Sheffield...
He's got the eye and he is really good at getting them off the fence! (Being small helps.)
Champis!! Amazing, he knows he is equal to a dog - how did you get him to be so brave? He must have watched your dog for hours to learn all that.
I love this video! My rabbit used to chase the chickens all around the yard. But I think this is better! I love it, thanks for sharing
I love it, cuteness overload.
Kenne ich schon lange - der Knüller schlechthin!
Somewhere - off camera - there's a phenom working dog! But what a CHARMING video!!!
So cute!
Rabbits are very intelligent. And soooo cute! Awesome video!
