Hey sorry just wanted to ask one more question !
What's the weather like in late January/ early February? Would the snow storms and weather disallow me from visiting key locations like the plane wreckage at Hofn or the glaciers ?
Moreover if I'm travelling by motorhome, will roads be closed frequently?
Once again appreciate all the help you're providing!
@@Journal_Haris when we went to Iceland in 2016 we rented a camper van and it was the best! You aren’t on a time schedule to get to the next hotel and can take your time. And you can literally pull anywhere to sleep for the night!
Thank you so much for the video. Very informative 🙌
I have booked my flight tickets to Iceland 27th Nov to 2nd Dec
I’m planning to rent a car & explore Iceland on my own.
I have a quick question: can I get a local tour guide to watch northern lights after landing in Reykjavik? Is there any such service available?
Heeey Beeliever!
Dan here :)
Awesome, glad you enjoyed it! Your trip is right around the corner, super exciting! I don't know of any freelance northern lights guide that offer that type of service I'm afraid :( But if you have a rental car and the forecast looks nice, I'd simply recommend driving a bit away from the city lights where you'll hopefully see them. Another option would be to book a tour :)
I’ll actually be there the same dates as you! I booked a tour through East West travel, it’s a smaller group tour. There are also a few companies who offer boat tours, I may do that on another night.
What about a cruise? Same chances?
Heeey Kelly!
That's a great question. Yes - the cruise can be fantastic as well since it'll be sailing away from all of the city lights in Reykjavik :)
You can check out the Northern Lights by boat here:

Do you think a week is enough to see it at least once???
Heeeey!
Dan here :)
The northern lights can be unpredictable but yes. I would think a full week would give you a nice chance of seeing them! When were you thinking of visiting Iceland?
@@WakeUpReykjavik. hey!! Thank you so much for your answer! I’m going from the 1-7 November 🤩😍
Hello... I can see in the "aurora forecast" web that there are LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH level CLOUDS. There are a conbination between LOW and MEDIUM level that is that you are showing in your video..... The high level clouds ar not important?
