Steps to fix your device.
1. Heat up around the left speaker
2. Pry off the left speaker
3. Unsolder the left speaker
4. Clean the speaker housing
5. Grab the new speaker
6. Solder on the new speaker
7. Apply B-7000 adhesive to the speaker housing
8. Put the speaker back on
9. Let the speaker dry
10. Get back to jamming out 🎵

JoesGE.com is a pretty cool place (depending who you talk to it might be more than pretty cool. But hey, I'm just writing this down so that it says something down here, because that's more professional right?) and if you're still reading along at this point you might as well sit down and grab some popcorn because this is about to trail on about how we are this premiere repair service located in Washington State North of Seattle in basically the "Armpit of the US" near Mt Baker (Mt Baker has the world record for most snowfall at 1,140 inches in a season). Even though it can smell bad around here we love the fresh air and being near the post office and in a quiet sleepy mountain town certainly gives us much closer access to Team Turtle and Team Beaver (Watch our "Who, what, when and where is JoesGE?" video if you don't get the reference).
All this to basically say that we are all addicted to coffee and stay in the warehouse for ridiculously long hours in order to keep up with the demands of the youth for these two-sided head audio devices and speakers that float when you throw them in the ocean or in your bathtub to test if they actually float. On top of that, we do like it when less stuff ends up in landfills so we hoard everything on shelves with wheels so that we pollute less, it just sits in our warehouse losing molecules slowly over time degrading to become smaller and smaller.
If you are still reading at this point you deserve an award, or a high five, or something because you must either be the most patient person on the planet, or you read blogs frequently. And if the latter is the case, then this whole thing must seem pretty short so let's keep going.

Unfortunately, BOSE stopped producing these earphones... Best headphones ever in my opinion. Unable to buy anywhere to a satisfactory price. But! How happy I was when I found it for 55$ a piece. I bought two! Was afraid of a cheap China copy but no! It WAS the real BOSE.
I would like to know if Bose TriPort In-Ear Headphones are dismantled the same way. I need to replace cables. ???

Hi, is there a particular model this will work with? Mine are SoundSport wireless with firmware 3.0.4 dated Sept 2018. Very Low volume in left speaker, resetting, cleaning, updating did not resolve but replacing speaker might. thanks

Quick question. There is a black adhesive blob on the back of the speaker driver, what purpose does it serve? That black adhesive was crumbling and I removed it? Do I need it on there? 😢

hello, guide looks very straightforward, however i cannot find a part that is being used and linked to your site for purchase..it is either housing OR driver, so i have a question, can i just purchase a driver and use my original housing for speaker? in a sense, i would need to remove old driver first, before placing new one - and without seeing a guide, is it difficult? will i be destroying any cables? should i be careful? and how it is easy to remove speaker driver from the housing?

Hi Joe, Hope you are safe. I'm having an issue with my left earbud. The sound volume has gradually gone way too low. My right earbud is working fine. But I could hardly hear from left earbud. I have done all troubleshooting like installing new firmware, adjusting volume through equalizer but without luck. Now left earbud is producing 15% of sound I would say. What could be the problem based on your experience? Everything else is fine, bluetooth connectivity, battery backup etc. Do you think it's a problem with left speaker or main motherboard which has Volume up & down buttons? What and how i should repair it?

Hi Joe, i'm Muyeen from Bangladesh. My Bose Soundsport Wireless Right Speaker making no sound or too little sound after i cleaned the eartips with cotton buds. It was sounding great before cleaning. what should I do? I don't have the tools you have and as far I know in my country no one can do what you can do with tools available in your country. Sir, my headphone left side volume low, is any problem with speaker

Your speaker mesh is most likely clogged.
I checked already, mesh found clean, I used this for 18 month, only 2 days I faced this problem. Even base sound also low than right side ear.
