Something I learned from my dad is to fill the lower part of the gearbox with axle grease then put the seal in, then file the gearbox up with dope. The axle grease will seal the oil seal and stop the dope form passing by the seal... Try this may help..
You were romping on using that bushhog! They really can soak up PTO horsepower especially in tall rubbish like that. I can see your getting planty of "guidance" about an alternative tractor!!
i run a 6ft sickle mower on my jd 520. lots of fun getting the ol girl out and workin her. im going to work up some field area and get it smoothed out sick and tired of dropping a tire down in a wood chuck hole
I know I've seen blades for brushhog type mowers like that that are 3/4" thick and look like they've just about been bent into a boomerang... though they were cuttin 3-5" trees with it and I think once in awhile they'd miss a stump n catch one

Neck is looking good.. We have a tn75 new Holland with the Super steer... The hydraulics are horrible on it.. The shuttle shift gives us fits.. I wouldn't recommend it.. The super steer is joke...

u should get a massey 6600 series tractor with cvt smoothest operating tractor i have ever used
