What would you go for - Jimny or Jeep? Tell me!
Jeep. Yes they're crap but I had a Jimny and it is only good off road as a bash mobile. On road it is MORE THAN AWFUL. The Jeep is very VERY far from great but the Jimny is so bad I can't even find the big words in English to describe how terrible the thing is in the real world. If you want to get egotistical at least the Jeep can be cool, the Jimny just makes you look like you are too old, poor and stupid to buy a Jeep. Preferably avoid both.
There's good reason you're doing this review in a dress. 😆

I would like to see a comparison between a Jeep Avenger electric vs petrol engine. But the Avenger is made for European cities. I would go for a Jeep and not this Suzuki Jimny. Because the Jimny is an off road star 😉 not a street racer.

@@CathodeRayNipplezSuzuki Jimny is used by a lot of farmers in the UK because they are reliable, dependable and easy to fix and maintain compared to a Jeep. If you wanted bigger, you would buy a Toyota Hilux.

This is one of your best Anna! It certainly looks like you had a great time off road. I guess the laundry needed doing a little earlier than planned. I've had a soft spot for the Jimny for many years given that is a very capable small off roader. On road she might be very vocal but on the country pot holed roads in the UK it should be fine. On the motorway just stay in the truck lane. I love the Jimny. It has the character of a brilliant small dog being always playful but can be wearing at the same time. Great editing and fun presentation as usual.
So our family enjoyed this video while having breakfast this morning...thank you Anna!

As a Land Rover owner I have to say Jimnys are uber cool and very popular here in South Africa where we have lots of gravel roads and proper off-road conditions. They are very capable and classy, especially this one with the pretty lady behind the wheel. 😊

Hello Anna!!! That car is a classic. You can change parts and it looks like a small G Class. I don't know the price tag but I'm sure that for those money is a good deal. I think Anna should start a new channel anna driving on three wheels. I remember Suzuki Jimmy here in the states we called it the samurai ,Ford fill the gap with the bronco. Now Toyota is coming out with the Land Cruiser hopper mini entry level off-road vehicles.

The Jimny is the best little versatile vehicle out there. Its grand dad the Gypsy (Samurai) is superb. Clearly the family DNA flows through the Jimny’s veins. It’s a wonderful car for everyday use. I am happy to own a Jimny since the day before yesterday. But I am also said that I sold my Gypsy day before yesterday. Grand dad gave way to Grandson.
It's a cool little 4X4. Unfortunately, you can't get them in the UK anymore. Maybe with a personal import, if you don't mind investing the extra money. Looked fun to drive and you certainly got into the off road test.
As a lifelong Jeep owner, I’ve always been impressed with the little Jimny’s city and trail capabilities. End of the day I think I’d stick with my Jeep though.

the video and especially the off road part ist quit good, with the standard tyres!
But i have to correct you!
The Jimny can be dirven in 2H - 4H - 4L, which can be activated with the shift.
4H is driving with all wheels getting power, 4L is driving with all wheels in a lower gear ratio.
2H is not driving with front wheel drive!
It's driving with rear wheel drive and this is the main switch to drive the Jimny on hard roads with a lot of grip!
4H & 4L are only for driving off road or an slippery roads, as a sample on snowed roads!
The reason for this is the missing center differential, if you try to start the jimny on a normal road in 4H or 4L with fully turned wheels, where it doesn't matter which direction, the engine will die, because the power can't be brought to the front wheels like you would stand with the foot on the break!
Trying this to often can or drive to often in 4H/4L on the normal road with hard steering to the left or right will damage the drive trains at the front axles.
I know it, because i own and drive the 4-seater version of the Jimny JB74, in the comfort+ version, it's the one with the led-headlights.

Excuse my terribel english, i'm from Germany and didn't use a translating software.
We get the 5 door version of the Jimny in India, the pricing is on the higher side and Suzuki had to lower the prices for a period of 2 months to make it fly of shelves.
The 5 door isn’t a lot heavier than the 3 door, but the 1.5L NA petrol engine definitely is on the slower side.
Now it sells a consistent 500-600 units a month.
Note: We never got the 3 door version of the Jimny in India.

Just curious but what psi were you running? 15 would have been good. They are great and do exactly what they are supposed to do. Your comment to close about the smile just sums up the Jimny and when you add some mods they become even better. Thanks for another great video.

Nie żebym się czepiał ale… Jimny ma napęd 4x4 bez centralnego dyferencjału i z napędem na 4 koła można jeździec tylko na luźnej lub śliskiej nawierzchni, w przypadku jazdy on road jest to zdecydowanie Rwd i napędzane są tynę koła, a nie przednie.

When you are not in 4 wheel drive it is rear wheel drive, not front wheel drive (time stamp 11:11).

@@AnnaOnRoads You did an honest review and that is all that maters. JFYI another big difference between a Jimny and other 4X4s for better or worse is that it does not have traditional differentials. Basically their "All Grip" system uses the ABS breaking system to break a free spinning wheel and put the power into the other wheels. It is not as immediate as traditional diffs, but it works.

11:37 for us cat 🐈⬛ people. 😊 Of course the Suzuki Jimny is a very disappointing car. We all know off road vehicles (and SUV) *must* be very big (at least 5 m length) and heavy (minimum is 2,5 tons) and powered by a big V6 or V8 engine (3000 ccm and more than 400 hp is required). Sorry, Suzuki better luck next time. 😂
The new Jimny is a pretty poor attempt at replacing the old model, the chassis is still flimsy, the radius arm mounts are low mounted still and would be easily damaged when offroad, the engine has no torque low down, the low range transfer gear is too high and the paint finish is very thin, in some places there is no top coat and there is zero rust protection, should have been a lot better.

One more thing. Jeep has lost its roots. They now make bloated over sized very expensive (unaffordable for the common folks) vehicles. Jimny on the other hand, has stayed true to its origins.
