Thanks. I'm a recent widow. Got my little garden tractor stuck today and am looking for tips. This is a great one.
Really happy to hear this helped. Hope you have a great week. Thanks.
I spent a day digging and getting further stuck before seeing this in the evening. 5 minutes the next day and I was out! I owe you a huge thank you 🙏
You are very welcome. I truly enjoy the positive feedback and hope you have a great week.
Do I need to remove 3-pt hitch (blade cutter) to successfully use this technique? Thank you
@@Calman1981 You don't but if you are not comfortable with it on the back I would recommend removing. It will free up the backend and sometimes the attachment can "pinch" the ground and make it harder to get out. Hope this helps. Have a great week.
I have super sandy soil and this just saved me big! My 40 horse 4wd tractor was stuck in super nasty quicksand - the bottom of the tractor was basically scraping - I couldn't see the bottom of my rim at one point. I just had to move the log 3-4 times. Thanks!
You are very welcome. Really glad the method worked for you. Have a great week!!
Very good advice from your Farmer friend..My dad always come up with good ideas to s solve problems are issues around his Farm
True old school people mostly always know. Have a great week.
I got my tractor stuck yesterday pretty bad. Rear wheels were halfway through in the mud. I tried to dig around the wheels, but I got even more stuck. I ended the day in disappointment and went on youtube. So glad I found your video. I tried this the next day and got it unstuck in less than 30 minutes. Thanks for sharing!
That is great news. I really appreciate the feedback. Have a great week and thanks again for reaching out.
Unfortunately, i need to give this a try tomorrow.. thanks for the video! Wish me luck. Thanks in advance
Good luck. You will get it out. Just take your time. Have a great week.
Got my Yanmar stuck yesterday in very wet boggy mud. After hours of digging took a break and found this. Used this and the windmill technique to move my tractor about 20’ to high ground.
Glad you were able to get it unstuck. This method has always worked for me and continues to. Thanks for the feedback. Have a great week
I HAVE a 4 wheel drive kubota - and guess what? Ya still get them stuck! Will give this a try 👍🏼
Yes indeed - that is basically what I was telling the guy that told me I needed a four wheel drive. I appreciate the feedback - we can all get anything stuck if we try hard enough 😂😂
Thank you so much I got our lawn mover out of the garden by myself! Thank you again for the video!!!
I had never thought about using for a lawnmower. Great job. Thanks for the comment. Have a great day.
Thank you. I just got my tractor stuck in mud. I freed it with your method.
Really happy knowing this works for other people. Have a great day !
Nice also if you have a double acting loader it can be used to pull you forward
agree. that would make it much easier. thanks for the feedback.
Awesome thanks for sharing, america 🇺🇸 baby
Hope it helps you. Have a great week.
I absolutely didn't know I was an idiot, thank you very much. !!!
Glad to help!!
Great tip! Thanks
looking forward to getting to try this this weekend, thanks for the tip!
Hope this helps - can't stress enough to watch your valve stem. Also, don't have too much slack in your chain. Thanks for the feedback.
@@StewartFarmApiary my tractor is about 20" deep in the field outside my window; gonna have a few days of sun this week so after it dries a bit i'll try to get her out.
@@fredlebhart1393 Hang in there. Patience is the key!
Awesome 💯👍
Glad this helps..........
I owe you a beer! this worked.
Now that makes me smile. Glad to share this trick. Glad your tractor is unstuck. Keep that beer cold for me!!
yesterday feb 17 /24....we went to check on things to our property, began to move some fallen trees and sure enough ,we hit a soft spot and in we went!!!..( 4x4 didnt help) .did not know about this rig, had to leave it there after getting in worse and worse, we are going back today with a winch and couple of batteries and planning to place the winch chained to a tree and see what happnes, if not, i will for sure try this!!!!,,,thanks
Good luck. Ive never used a winch. Usually the 4x4 board gets it. I just purchased a L3301 4x4 with a loader. It arrives on Tuesday. Im excited. Thanks for the comments and have a great week.
. I’m currently stuck . Spent 3 hours trying to jam wood inter the tired. This is brilliant. I’m Gonna try when I get home.
Works every time
Where are you located?

Nice!!!!!!!! I gotta comment and advice Never say to the Game Warden, I never been checked for a fishing license so I figured I didn't need one!
You would be correct. Have to make sure to follow the rules. Thanks for the comment.
I was being Honest with the Guy that's all. I thought he might of gave me a warning if I told him the truth. That's the problem with Society today no one wants to accept the Truth? And this is probably why I am single well I won't say anything else but you can only imagine
A1 golden
I’m glad it helped you !!
4 wheel drive isn’t a silver bullet. Just buried the right side of mine in a soft trench. About to use your trick.
Excellent. Just watch for the valve stem. It works every time for me .
I surprised one guy with my rollback it was a F-450 with dual rear wheels two-wheel drive and I got it stuck on some slippery greasy mud in a parking lot and the landowner was going nuts just like what are you going to do yeah yeah so what I did is I just took my chain and wrapped it around in one spot on one outside dual got in the truck and drove away in the guys like I never saw anything like that and he was truly impressed and to me I've been doing that all my life it was just no big deal. Oh well you can teach folks stuff but they got to remember what they see best regards
Sounds like you know what you are doing. Chains always seem to be a good option for tires. Thanks for the feedback.
great tip the problem is most newer tractors do not have any holes on rims
I wouldn’t know - I can’t afford a new one 😂😂
Oldest trick in the book we've done that over thirty years ago.. couple small logs
Thanks for the feedback
I DO have a 4WD Massey and I buried all 4 tires to the axle in 30 seconds I might have to try a FEW chains and 4x4 chunks tomorrow hahaha .
It has always worked for me. Just watch that valve stem so you don’t break it off. You might be able to strap one on the front and back tire. Let me know how it works out.
@@StewartFarmApiary magic.......I am unstuck.....but i needed one each side and had to reset and do it again. BUT....free at last ! Thanks to you
@@skidfrog That makes me very happy to hear. Glad I can help. Spread the word - lol. Keep those 4x4 close. They will always come in handy in the future.
I'm in the same boat
Put a longer pull chain it to both Wheels. Be aware you could pull the front of that tractor straight up
Thanks for the feedback
Nah i got a 4x4 and still got stuck. Thats why im here 😂😂
Well try this way and it may help. 🤣
do i do the same? our tractor weights over 7,000lbs.
I think you should be fine. You could always use a 4x6 or a 6x6 if you are worried. Ive seen bigger tractors then mine use a 4x4.
Hope this helps. Have a great week.
@@StewartFarmApiary thx, and u to!
Understandable just a demonstration.... Because if that tractor was actually stuck you better give It up
Thanks for the feedback
Mount it on the outside
If you don't mount it equally on both sides the one side that grabs will pull the other one and it will not work.
Ha! "Half of them are full of crap!" Yeah, but being able to tell which half you're talking to might be a subject for your next video!
I might need some help on how to tell. Ive been fooled more than once. I came here for the city and knew nothing about farming - Pavement to Pasture and I can say it cost me money and time. I have gotten better over the years in spotting them. ha.
Thanks for the response.
I have a 4x4 tractor that was stuck a lot worse than that. There's a better way to get them out.
I’m sure there are many ways. This is simply the one that works for me. Have a great week.
Trying to figure out how to get my 4wd tractor outa the mud pit……
You can still use this same method with a four wheel drive.
You will EASILY tear off a finder or get you hurt real fast doing this , it’s not a good idea !!!
Thanks.
Judging from the comment section it looks like it's pretty easy to do as long as you're paying attention. It's easy to criticize, not as easy to offer a better solution I see.
@@mikep3813 It works for me as long as I pay attention and don't get in a hurry. You can learn so much from the older guys that are genuine. Have a great day! Thanks for reaching out.
He covered how to prevent the damage well, and then went through and was very careful.
@@gwilli1754 Thank you for this - I try to be a thorough as I can. We are all in this together and anything that we can do to help each other out as farmers ( or just tractor operators) can only benefit us all long term. Have a great week.
