Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! I am a 68 year old grandma and had a full day of mowing planned when of course, the first thing I did was get my Kubota seriously stuck in the mud in the far back corner of the pasture. No way to get to it with the truck and nobody around with a tractor to pull me out. In total disgust, I went back to the house and started watching youtube videos about getting tractors out of the mud. YOUR VIDEO SAVED ME!!!!! Went back -
I did stuff some hay behind the wheels hoping to provide a little tractor since our clay soil is unbelievably slippery. After about 10 tries using your methods I WAS FREE! You have my undying gratitude - figured it was stuck there till mid-summer when that corner would dry out. LOL.

Great tip Neil but above all make sure nothing of value is in the bucket first like a chain saw. I know this from experience 🙄

Thank you!!! Googled from the woods. Just exactly the “show and tell” we needed. Took the tractor down a swampy trail intending to use it to pull side by side out of a big mud puddle. At least we got the tractor home and three days later after acquiring a “come along” have the UTV back home too.

Thank you SO MUCH. This video was the first thing that came up when I searched on how to get a tractor unstuck. My husband is not the world's most experienced tractor driver, but he got it unstuck using your technique within a couple of minutes! We are eternally grateful. We knew heavy rains were coming and we might never have gotten it out otherwise!

Man, this just saved me, I just use this technique to get my tractor unstuck out of the mud but I had to do it for about 40 or 50 feet but I did get it out finally. Thanks!

Neil I think you should get some R1’s on your tractor to show how much better they work in mud... some people just don’t know how good they work and you look like you could use them... great video👍

Very useful information for a soon to be new and first time tractor owner. I've heard of people using a loader or even a backhoe to be able to get themselves unstuck.

One caution to help this work is to not bury the tractor rear axle. Yes you may have ruts, but if you have dug a hole with the rear tires getting out is much more difficult.

That is simply knowing when you are stuck and not to try to get more stuck thinking you are helping the situation. It's just knowing it's time for plan B or C before it's too late.

I had to use this technique when I dropped a front wheel into a collapsed woodchuck burrow and was on old, wet sod. Also used a variation (used the loader as a skid while backing up) when an outside front wheel bearing failed and the wheel nearly came off in a barnyard because I really did not want to change a bearing in a foot of manure!

Hey Neil, how about a video of adding ROP lights. Wiring, switching, relays, fuses and lights. I've bought the lights and some parts for my MX5200, would like some pointers before I dig in. Yes I know, no holes in the ROPS...U-bolts only.

Yes I used to run a bucket loader for a job..... That technique works very well.... Only problem if you're like a homeowner tractor owner may take a little practice there's kind of attached to it oh.... I would suggest practicing when you have a little spare time

You should do a video on how to crab walk would of deep mud.
I had to do this with an L47 TLB rental. I was spreading spoils from a 12-14ft deep hole where we found an underground spring running through the site. The dirt coming up was about as wet as you could even try digging. At the dump site (my front acre), I was trying to build up a low area 20-24". In the process of spreading/leveling, the tractor sunk up past the floor boards. I was 50ft from solid ground in any direction. I had to crab walk it for about 20 minutes to get out. That was an interesting time.

I haven't got my L stuck yet. I have a running bet with my local farm doctor since last summer. I just go where I want with it, when I want. Great tip though. Just like anything with a tractor, slow and easy.

I have used the bucket many times on a skid steer and probably will on my new 2020 BX 1880 as well. I was looking on your parts site but could not find a bucket level system that mounts on the 1880. I do not know the proper name for it and I'm sorry. My bucket only has that flat piece of metal on top of the bucket to help you level the bucket. Thanks

Can I dig a drainage ditch with a front loader, if so can you do a video on it?

    • @RoanJS
      @RoanJS 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

It's easier if you have practice cleaning a ditch. One tip, run a line along the near edge. I lost the line marking the middle. It makes wide shallow swell. The more definition will come with experience. If that's not what you want. Consider renting an excavator or backhoe. Cleaning a ditch helps you learn the pattern to keep straight and consistent depth.
