    Looks like this was made 4 years ago... well it got me out of what seemed like a serious jam tonight. I knew my tractor had an arm to claw it's way up the muddy hill (backhoe) but I had to see it done to realize I didn't need to go buy a winch. Lots of other great tips for me getting stuck in the future. Thanks!

      @@LazyBrookFarm I've never used the tow strap with the backhoe. I think you covered it.

    When you do get stuck, from my experience in a golf cart on the golf course with muddy terrain, since I love going through deep puddles I’ve gained some experience with getting unstuck.
    1. first of all, keep going if you Go into a puddle and find out that you might have Underestimated the puddle, keep that petal Down. Do not let off the petal, it is important that you don’t let off the accelerator, But don’t keep it Fully blown. That will get you stuck, just Push the accelerator as far as it will go, then let off, push it down, then let Off.
    2. when you still get stuck and you find your self In the middle of a deep puddle, Gently Push the Accelerator, Stop, Then put it In reverse, and press the accelerator gently.
    3. Sometimes it’s required to get muddy. if all fails, Get out, press the Gas petal with your hand, And push with your legs.

      That is some good advise! you definitely want to be gentle but persistent with the gas peddle. any quick changes throttle changes will just get you stuck more!

    That was awesome! Was it really that wet or did you flood your area first before you got stuck? 🤣

    • @LazyBrookFarm
      @LazyBrookFarm  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It was really that wet! Our well has runoff that saturates that area if we don't use a lot or water in the house.

    Hmm. My tractor is way over 3000 pounds. I have a John Deere 750. It’s about 6000 pounds

    How come lumber-wheels are not default from factory????

    • @LazyBrookFarm
      @LazyBrookFarm  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think its becouse of the road noise at highway speeds, its a bit loud!

  • @calebriddle3382
    @calebriddle3382 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    What sucks is when your tractor doesn’t have either of those attachments and you get stuck in the middle of a field where a truck can come get you and there’s not a tractor anywhere around there.

    • @LazyBrookFarm
      @LazyBrookFarm  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yup! Just a tractor, no fel, or backhoe does limit your options! I might keep some 4x4s or get a winch and land anchor handy in that case! I have seen some fields that turn to soup in the summer! If you know of any other ways, i would love to know!

    • @calebriddle3382
      @calebriddle3382 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. It sucks. I had a box blade on it and just sunk it right there. My tractor is a 4x4 but I usually take it the the hunting lease and run over small trees and stuff so if I had a winch it would get beat up

      @LazyBrookFarm  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have a portable winch, its 3000lbs, and can be carried around, i think harbor freight sells one!
