Hi I have a 2006 Lexus GS 300 I cut the IMO and the IMI and I have 12V and both but when I connect the wires back The IMO goes down to 1v also the IMO stays at 12V at all times even with the ignition off
---by the way Camry 2007 3.5 does not have the ECU in the dashboard...It is on the engine compartment attached to the fire wall... This is 4 cylinder 2007 Camry in which you are performing this procedure...Right?
Will you explain step by step..? If I want to exchange the ECU? Steps???? 1-Disconnect battery....2-Install Used ECU (or other)...3-Connect ECU and battery cables..(in this instance if I want to turn on the engine ..it will not run..right?----------------------------4-Connect the diagnostic device and follow steps...right?---------------------------------Are these the right steps?-------------Thanks!
Thanks for the prompt reply...So I do not need to disconnect the battery? and I do have an OTC Encore Scanner that will do the job...Then probably I do need to jump the terminals...right?//////Thank you!
@@gilbarcomv1 It's always standard procedure to disconnect the battery when replacing a module, it's your choice. Your OTC scan tool may not be able to perform the reset. I don't know this for sure.
Great.

Wha is in that bag (looks like new) ? What part? Do I need that when exchanging the ECU/ or new key?
The transponder key ECU is only replaced when faulty. I failed to mention when replacing this module you must program an existing or new master key.
That is new ecu or used?
New

Replace the ECU with the ignition off. Then reset ECU with scanner. Next perform ECU initializing by jumping the DLC pins and now it should start.
