Thanks for this video! I have the autel I’m608 but I’m very new to eeprom (never have done one or seen such an in depth video. After a couple more of these types of videos I may be willing to give it a shot of my own! Thanks again for the lesson bro!
You represent Autel better than the company itself. Thank you for everything you do for us and explain in detail in each of your videos. God bless you king
Well done. Thank you for a through explanation. You might look into getting a solder sucker to pull the molten solder out of the holes. They also have a desolder ribbon that can be used to cleanup the old solder. These will make your live easier when replacing the chip.
Great video man! Thank you for the info. I been doing automotive for about 10 months and I'm starting to practice soldering so I can use my IM608 to its full potential.
Muy Valiosa Información. Gracias por tomar tu tiempo para compartir ese tipo de procesos. poquito miedo para desoldar las EEPROM. pero lo demás muy bueno Dios te Bendiga.
Well done walk through! I do not speak Spanish but I would prefer one language or the other because as a tech I hear German as well as Spanish so it’s like hearing everything twice! ;) I speak only English, but can understand technical German , French and Spanish… thank you for doing this video!
This method will work great for those Toyota’s that have a broken key-in ignition switch or broken door ajar switch since those two inputs are often required for adding keys. I ended up cloning a master key on one the other day because the customer didn’t want to fix the key-in ignition detection issue.
Hey bro little tip one thing I learned over time of soldering devices like computers phones power supplys anything with a pcb/motherboard don't use metal to touch components especially foil paper your bound to short a component even if it's not connected to a power & ground. Most likely it will have a capacitor(s) & they sometimes hold a charge for a while depending how big they are.
Absolutely perfect video! I only have one question. Would the ribbon cable and chip clip that comes with the XP400 not work to accomplish this procedure?
Bro you came a long way! Glad to see these videos getting better and better. And the member gig is awesome; you have to the community so it’s only right that the community gives you back. Thanks bro!

Thank you explain the process better than autel. I hope you wouldn't mind me giving you a tip. Desolder using a wick. Clean the holes and solder the chip back.
The pic u have in ur title where can u get that eeprom clamp….also had another question if I grab an immobilizer ecu from the junkyard get everything ready for the next AKL on a 03-07 sequoia program the keys and just do the cuts to the vehicle will it work that way I’m not messing with the chip in the field?
Hello greetings member! That is called a pamona 5250 test clip! Havnt go it to work properly yet with the im608 pro could be a grounding issue.. and yes all you have to do is do the 30 min sync to the vehicle where u stick a paper clip or wire in 4 & 13 pin on the obd

My friend very good videos & Ives watched many of yours. I have the IM508 & in the menu options I swipe right to left BUT I see you swipe up & down. Where in the menu can this be changed. Many thanks

Hello Mike. First of all, Great Video!! I followed it exactly with the same equipment. Keys don't work though. Only difference I should mention is that I read the eeprom with the XP200 but wrote back to it with the XP400 pro. Can you help me?
Have you had much success using the clamp on the chip instead of removing chip from the circuit board?Or is it too hit and miss so you now remove chips all the time to read them? Thanks.

Great video. My biggest question is knowing which vehicles you can use which functions on? Do you know of a list or partial list of which 608 features you can use on which vehicles? Thanks in advance!
I'm wondering if I can just use my Xhorse super chips and try all 6 preloaded 4D67 transponders like try out keys (chips), I've had cars start before by originating a chip. But I screwed up my eeprom this time ordered a 10-pack of new EEPROMs and luckily using an old data bin from a previous Sequoia I did. But yeah this is been a little bit of an experience after melting that chip
You need to sync the immo ecu to the vehicle!! First you learn the keys to the vehicle after you insert each key you have to turn off the programming mode from off to on 5 times make sure the immo light turns off .. after close learning mode you must insert the learned key turn ignition on but engine stays off .. and jump obd terminal 4 and 13 for 30 minutes then remove and turn off ignition then turn on vehicle!

One worked both starting engine and remote whilst second identical only started engine. Weird so re ran add keys. It swapped across. Other key had remote functions whereas first lost them. Bizarre. In the end I got both working. To note there’s two screens it could search pins. One screen always failed and the other presuming to be the same process did not fail. Must be slightly different coding.
love your videos, you have helped me many times. I have a fully updated im508 with the xp400 but when I go to write key via dump it doesn’t show an option for Toyota. Is this only an option on im608??
Are you using Fahrenheit or Celsius? Solder station seems to be Celsius, you said 300 Fahrenheit but it's only about 143 Celsius, if it's 300 Fahrenheit this will work only for hot air? If i use my solder iron at 300F(143celsius) i don't reach melting point.

No. There is no way to access the processor via OBD. Toyota designed it that way. They wanted the dealers to replace the module, ensuring security. NOT!!! Ensuring $$$!

Yes, it should be possible. I know nothing of the XP400 or vehicle coding, but I'm a firmware engineer and we do this occasionally. For a correct data dump the microcontroller (large chip) must be in reset state while reading the eeprom. Google datasheet for the large chip (number on chip) and identify which pins are RESET and GND, connect these pins together with a wire to hold it in reset. It also depends on power capability of the XP400. If XP400 has insufficient power for "in circuit programming" (check the manual) then in this case connect only 7 pins, that is all *except* the VCC pin (my guess pin-8 but check on Google), and then you must connect the board to its usual power source. You can put the clip on all 8 pins but break the VCC wire at other end. Again this depends on power capability of the programmer. I hope that helps.
For soldering there is a special tape that negates the heat and its not sticky when taking it off Aye un typo de cinta que cancela el calor y no deja pegamento quando lo quitas

hy mike that a good tutorial i have quick question you know when saving the eprome data it gives you all old 1 as well is there a way to delete all the old data saved from your device?
On sequoia 2003 is it possible for some of them to use 4C chip (2002) instead of toy44D67 ? I'm on a job where the security light goes off but there is some other issue and no start. The error code says u2101 so I'm thinking possibly the earlier chip. Thanks

Why do you have to desolder the whole chip?? You just use the provided clips? Is there something on the board that messes up the readwrite process?
You went through settings to microchip. Why did you scroll down to select that over the others?

Google datasheet for the large chip (number on chip) and identify which pins are RESET and GND, connect these pins together with a wire to hold it in reset. It also depends on power capability of the XP400. If XP400 has insufficient power for "in circuit programming" (check the manual) then in this case connect only 7 pins, that is all *except* the VCC pin (my guess pin-8 but check on Google), and then you must connect the board to its usual power source. You can put the clip on all 8 pins but break the VCC wire at other end. Again this depends on power capability of the programmer. I hope that helps.
@@Aitch-Two-Oh thanks
@@Aitch-Two-Oh Hi, can xp400 detect 4C transponder? I have xp200, and it cant detect 4C and 4D,
@@kabomajafhe2979 hi, please re-read my comment. I know nothing about xp400.
For soldering there is a special tape that negates the heat and its not sticky when taking it off
Aye un typo de cinta que cancela el calor y no deja pegamento quando lo quitas
Thank you Juan
when you are picking out which chip to select on the im608 how do you know the chip is a microchip to select? where can i find this info for other chips? i have just been pressing every button until it comes up? thanks mike.
Hey Matt ! Same here!! Just by trial and error doesnt really tell you wich one to select, i had to figure out
On my own!

hey Mikey...possible to do this via clamp without desoldering? looks like it requires a bigger clamp though than the one that came with xp400pro.
i tried it and the clip doesnt ground correctly you cant really read the data on the chip unless you disolder and remover it! :{
Thank you fur a good video😊
Thank you for watching!
We have to dissolder the chip for that on 4c or can read when its on the board?
Desoldering for now... unless you have the autopropad fulll version with clip and programmer
Hey quick question wheres the immo box located? Thanks

hy mike that a good tutorial i have quick question you know when saving the eprome data it gives you all old 1 as well is there a way to delete all the old data saved from your device?
Yes I believe you have to go to your file folders in settings
@@MYKEYSAUTOMOTIVE I just couldn't find it seriously
can you do this process on a 2016 tacoma with smart key?
Thanks again and again I really appreciate it.
Thank you brother !
Muy buen video, muchas gracias, sabrás donde está localizado el código de corte de la llave en una Nissan Titán 2006?

On sequoia 2003 is it possible for some of them to use 4C chip (2002) instead of toy44D67 ? I'm on a job where the security light goes off but there is some other issue and no start. The error code says u2101 so I'm thinking possibly the earlier chip. Thanks
Hey Mike do you have a name of model # for the connector for that chip? That’s in the thumbnail?

Thank you brother God bless!
Why did you write the dumb file on the chip again? The 2 keys you made have the same info from the chip!
Thank you for the video
