    i'm obese so i would say that i can do this by the first time...but the fist time i lasted 2 min and now complete 17 min. for me that is HUGE!! don't give up people , we all start from somewhere!!

    I can't believe it's been 10 years already! I always find myself coming back for this one. Such a wonderful routine and perfect for getting back started after a break or for those weaker days when I need something gentle. :)

      My sister showed this video to me when it was quite new when I was over visiting her. She was in uni and I was still at school. She said her practice goal was to be able to do the video in one go without skipping anything. After I went home I would regularly do the video and had set the same aim for me. It's now more than ten years later, she bought a house and has kids, I finished uni and work full time. But I still remembered this video and only recently added it to my workout playlist. It's kind of crazy. I realised I've known Cassey Ho/Pop Pilates for over ten years. TH-cam grew up with me and now it gets older with me, haha.

      It really does! The first time I did this I took at least fifty breaks. The leg workout was especially hard for me. I kept at it for a month or so and now I can do it all without stopping! Keep at it and you'll see it gets easier!!!

    My very first time working out was with this video back in 2012 at the age of 14. It was hard, so hard I lost 20 pounds in two and a half weeks.
    I went back to this video again in 2016 at 18 years old and the only thing that still kills me is the leg pyramids. I'm really proud of how far I came.

    Day 1 completing this video: Stopped multiple times throughout the entire video and could barely make it through the leg pulses..
    Day 9 redoing this video: only stopped a few times during the leg pulses but made it through everything else!!
    9 days and I already feel much stronger! Keep going guys!!

    Day 1 from the beginners calendar! I was really scared to start this, but it wasn't that bad. I'll admit I almost cried at the leg circles, ALMOST! But now that I finished it I have a complete workout high, which is not common in me! If anyone else is just starting, we can keep each other on track!

      I am so with you! the leg circles were excruciating, i had to take breaks or else i couldn't complete them. also couldnt even lift my leg up during the leg triangle T_T good luck to everyone, hope to see you throughout the whole month!

      Agree! I didn't stop the leg circles on the left.. but I had to stop on my right side! So weird that one side is stronger than the other?

    I cannot belive it. A half and year ago I did this workout for the first time and I was so exhausted. Now it seems so easy. 😭❤️ My body has changed so much and this video is always going to remind me of my fitness journey beginning ♥️ Keep going guys!

      @@c1oudii565 if you're askin about my body - I lost 15 kg 😊 but it wasn't of course only this workout but also changing my diet and doing different types of workout. But if you are starting with this video you will see some changes even quickly

      @@FabiJenneke Jenneke 4-6 times a week(with not only this wideo) + lot of bicycling(at least 200 km per week) + diet and after two months I lost 10 kg, then I made my losing weight low intense and after few months(5?) I weight - 15 kg. From 58 to 43 kg, now I workout when I have time and my current weight is 45-48.

    I'm on Day 5 of the Beginner's 2.0 calendar and doing this the second time around was definitely easier and I didn't flail around like a drowning cat during the roll-up. I improved from 0 roll-ups to like 3. Lol I call that a success so far! I feel stronger and best of all, mentally, I feel great because I'm not lazying around on the couch everyday; I'm actually doing something.

    Today is the first day that I was able to do all of these exercises perfectly/almost perfectly. I didn't stop at all and wasn't dead tired at the end. I used ALL of my muscles and I feel so good now. I'm so proud of myself, this used to be so hard 💗

    To everyone starting, I did the beginner 2.0 calendar and couldn't get past day 14 cause it was getting too hard, so I started on day 1 again (I also took way more break days, I worked out around every other day). Believe me, my form has gotten so much better that day 1 wasn't easy but I was able to do everything without quitting! If I can do this, you can do this too. And if the calendar gets too hard, just start over again. I will continue this cycle until I can finish the calendar.

      Update: I didn't finish the calendar. Pilates is not my thing. Started walking and dancing instead and it is way easier for me to do because I enjoy it. I really hope everyone does this because they absolutely can't wait to do this :)

    Hey Cassey, I just completed the first day of the Beginners Calendar! I cannot wait to see how much I improve throughout this month. I have to say, right now I need to work on my breathing. Thank you.
    Edit: It is Day 27 of the Beginners Calendar and I have just redone this video. Wow, it is still difficult to do some of the moves in this video. The difficulty is now more of pushing yourself instead of needing to pause the video to take a break. I am now able to hold my legs much straighter throughout a movement and my core strength is much stronger. I am hoping to continue doing Cassey's pilates videos but I want to revisit this video once in a while to remind myself of the correct breathing and posture in these movements.

    I'm on day 16 of the blogilates 2.0 beginners calender and I am proud to say that I have lost 6 pounds. There has been very little change to my diet so, for now anyways. I have completely stopped drinking soda and drink about 3 liters of water a day. I have limited my sweets from everyday to every other day. I am really proud of myself and hope fellow beginner popsters know that this really does work. I have also noticed a change in my physical appearance, strength, sleep, and overall attitude through out the day. Everyone who is just beginning take it one day at a time, it will be worth it! Don't give up :)

    Day 16!!!! Let me tell you guys. When i first started the beginners calender, i stopped so many times in this same workout. But today!!!!! I am so proud to say that i did every move without stopping. And when i was done, i thought to myself how much i improved. But this is just a step guys, i need to get so so so much better still. And i see the change in myself and the change in my body. I love you Cassie! From the bottom of my heart. You are my true inspiration!❤️

      Same. Midway throughout the leg circles my hips just failed and my whole leg went numb. Loved the elbow exercise though.

      @@stuffanimo If you go to Cassey's website she has this wonderful 28 Day Beginner's Calender that has all of the workouts (with video links) that you'll do everyday for 28 days. It's very helpful and only takes 30ish minutes a day so its very doable even on a busy schedule.

    I was a popster back in 2012 and was able to do all the exercises in the regular calendar, since then I had senior years of highschool, a gap year and university and I lost all my strength. Time to rebuild and bring back that popster glow! Let's go popsters!!

Today my legs hurt so bad I could barely lift them up though! Still, doing daily exercises even if you're tired/sore leaves you feeling better than before.

      I began and then became inconsistent :(. I love the concept of pilates but I feel as though doing something more fun (like just straight dancing or dance classes) allows me to be more consistent with being active. I DO believe pilates works though and you should definitely give it a try! Oh, I'll also be posting some fitness things on my channel soon so be sure to stop by if you like :D

    Wow! I'm just finishing the last day of the beginner's calendar and it's amazing to me how easy this video is now. I've started and not finished the beginner's calendar probably 3 times now. This is the only time I've actually finished. I feel so proud of myself. I can feel how much stronger my body is now, especially my arms. I didn't even break a sweat! Time to move on to something more difficult!

    day 23 of beginners calendar and I did every single one. Before, I could do almost all of them. I would always have to stop on the leg exercises on my other leg because the pain was too intense, but I finally got through it XD I can really see and feel the progress.

      +Eden DiCosimo I did the whole thing but I much prefer just doing my own stuff, I've lost a lot of weight by just doing 30 minutes of cardio and 30 mins of strength 4x a week. Only way I can lose it tbh.

    Love it! I'm a personal trainer/ group ex instructor and I had always been skeptical about pilates because I thought it would be too easy (my background lies in powerlifting, trail running and other "tougher" disciplines) but after trying a few of your videos I LOVED IT!     I started doing Pop Pilates about a year ago, and this was my favorite video then. It took me weeks before I could even finish it- and I never finished the video without stopping countless times. I had never worked out a day in my life before then and it hurt SO MUCH! Anyway, I've been doing the Blogilates calendars for 3 months (I can finally do all the videos for each day!), and I decided to go back to my old favorite- this beginner's workout- and it was more of a relaxing warmup for me this time!! I am SO happy! I've lost 45 lbs in the last year and gotten so much stronger. I guess I just want to reinforce in those Popsters who are just starting, that it really does work. Even though those leg circles are hard now (they KILLED me, I hated the so much), before you know it you'll be doing side planks, v-sits, and more squats than you can imagine right now ;) Believe me, it is worth it! You can do it!!! :)

    Okay, so I was killing it through the entire first part (even though my abs were burning) and then the leg circles started. I literally had to stop like three times during them because of the pain! But I just kept going back to it. And then for the final arms move I had to pull out a blanket to shove under my knees, but even with all of that I powered through! I've never been able to do that with a workout video. The amount of time we were required to do the exercises and the limited number we had to do were perfect! I really enjoyed it and I can't wait until I can make it through this workout without taking breaks!

    I'm so glad I found these videos. I do Muay Thai and when I caught COVID, I lost all my strength and conditioning, my asthma returned, and I started having a strange and persistent fatigue. I was so upset I couldn't even work out without feeling pain near my heart (doc told me it was benign).
    I've been doing these videos as a way to stay active while recovering. I feel myself getting stronger as time goes by, even after COVID wore me down so much.
    Not to mention the tone of these videos keeps me from pushing myself so hard I'm expending energy I don't have.

    I've been doing "beginner" pilates,(mostly the same one - I know, I know, that's not a great idea), for 6 months, & I've tried at least 10 other TH-cam "beginner" short videos & they were way pat my level of ability. Not for beginners & all you do is end up feeling bad that you can't do the exercises. This one and one other in the Blogilates series were both manageable for me. I can't always keep up with all the reps, but I really like how she explains what you should be doing to do the exercise correctly. Focus on getting it right & then increase reps. And Cassey is so positive and encouraging but so refreshingly, not fake!! Thanks, Cassey for giving us beginner's a workout we can actually do and feel good about!!

    I haven't done blogilates for about 6 months now and man I died during this beginner workout. Gotta start being consistent with workouts again and hopefully Ill become stronger than I was before!

    I remember the first time I saw this video when it was just uploaded. I and a bunch of other people followed your videos with a huge love! We were like a family from very different countries.       I did a little bit of Pilates 2 days ago and can't even finish her leg lifts! I can't even get to the triangle pyramids! Gaaaahh, it burns! I also feel it in my hips too, could I be doing it wrong, or is it just in that out of shape?

    Great video Cassey, you're great at the instructions and keeping us on track with the abs, back position, breathing, etc. I was SO missing my in person pilates classes and have always hated video workouts but since we've been quarantined I've had to just do them and yours are great!

    Did this because I felt like sports today! Those leg circles where the worst. They almost killed me. Geez! The pain was incredible. Well, well, just finished on time with my washing machine. Life got me back...

    I started this, and did the intro three times over a few days. I found it really helped to watch it without trying it the first time, then I had a much better visual in my head of what she was talking about. I will make it through the series.
