    I have to say that your videos are so well done, every time. You’re one of the only creators (Eamon and Bec, Kara And Nate, etc.) where I just enjoy the story you’re telling and am not so distracted by the music or editing or even the way you behave on camera because you’re both so natural. The fact that I don’t get distracted by the feeling of how you make the video shows how well you both are crafting them. It’s really inspirational and reminds me to recognize what is beautiful in my life, too. Thanks guys. 🙏🏻

    I'm a water snob too. I can tell the difference even between bottled spring water brands. POLAND Springs from Maine is my favorite! The best tap water I have ever had is from my In-Laws home. It came straight from the natural spring on their property.

    Hey Nathan, knowing Marisa is a nurse it does not suprise me she used the word wafting. I am sure other people use it as well but it's definitely a nursing word. You two are amazing!!

    • @amyphillips9846
      @amyphillips9846 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are so right. There are lots of things wafting in a nursing environment. I would also guess that anyone with a good sense of smell knows about wafting.. Working with food, wafting is a thing there too. Comes up pretty often in literature or books because it is so evocative. Love you guys, and when Marissa is right!

    Our beddy's is currently sitting on the picnic table, we're done with it...can't stand it anymore. We have used them for about 2 months. They don't have a top sheet, which is fine I guess if you can keep your A/C at 55 maybe? We were always too hot or then too cold when we would kick off the top blanket. We have a queen and we haven't been to a laundromat yet that we can actually get it clean or dry.

    Yes, I know “wafting!”
    Hubby and I stayed at Lassen National Park this week and the smell of In-N-Out grilled onions was “wafting” through the campground, so we took a walk to find them!!!
    We love you guys and say prayers for you! Very thankful for all you do for us!!!

    im not sure if you have looked into recirculating shower systems for the rv? the van lifers are loving this option. it is a series of filters that saves your overall on board requirements for boondocking. what happens is...the water comes out...falls on you....gets funky and or soapy....collects in a reservoir and is filteredin real time and travels back up to your showerhead so you can use the same 2ish gallons over and over until you consume it. you can take an hour long shower if you want!. paired with on demand hot water...real luxury.

  • @cobbles62
    @cobbles62 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Nathan, The dirty water.... for frost protection these yard hydrants dump their water into the ground when you close them. That means they have a little hole, an open connection to the soil around the hydrant. Clean water can go out, but muddy water can come in too. That explains while at the start of use you will have water of shady quality.
    We open these kind of hydrants only once, then flush it well, and use a second little garden hose valve to turn the water on and off from then on , which keeps the hydrant under pressure and clean. Only when we leave for the winter do we close the hydrant and take the second valve off to empty the hydrant.

    • @margin67
      @margin67 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He's right. We had an outdoor hydrant that ran clear water for years until one spring. When we installed it the bottom was incased in pea gravel, but after a few years the backflush water (what drains out and makes it "freeze proof") had created an underground mud puddle. So when you turned it on it sucked up the muddy water. Run your water for about 10 minutes and see how clear it gets.

    If you have well water that looks like that, I’d say that your well isn’t deep enough. My Dad always said our wells had to be deep enough to go through three layers of natural gravel filtering. If you have city water, don’t let them pass that “normal crap” off on you! Maybe they can’t take all the lime out, but they should at least take all the rust and sediment out. Either way, maybe consider the Clear Source 3-stage filter. We installed that on our rig and ALL water incoming to either our pipes or fresh tank go through it. We have great water wherever we go. I think its much better than just filtering at point of consumption. Thank you for sharing all the possible filtering ways… and cheers to good clean water!

  • @caseypries7559
    @caseypries7559 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You can slow water on either side. The reason it works on the output is water cannot come in any faster than it goes out. We also use the Clear2o water filter and sediment filter combo. The water filter is available at Walmart and it's green, not the cheap blue camco filters. The sediment filter is available online.

    Nathan, it doesn't matter where you slow down the flow any restriction will slow down the whole system. Yes, I do know what waft means, verb: pass or cause to pass easily or gently through or as if through the air; noun: a gentle movement of air. Usage: "The smell of honeysuckle wafts through the evening air." Keep the good stuff coming guys and give the kids a hug for me.

    In my research for our water filtering the UV filters like the Acuva kill the bacteria but then don’t filter that dead bacteria so you are still drinking dead bacteria. I feel like there needs to be a filter after the UV to remove the dead stuff.

    Thanks so much for this video! Specifically, we have a rear living room Montana with two queen fold outs in our couches for our kids because we didn’t want a mid bunk. In short, putting a cover, sheets, and blankets was a hassle each night and each morning. With this we can put it on at night, unzip it, sleep, zip it back up, take it off, roll it up and toss it in storage plus the kids can now do it themselves because its so easy. Also, we found two sets that were on sale for almost $90 off (because we don’t care about the design necessarily) bought two sets and the discount code you gave still WORKED!! Thanks! Basically it brought the price for two (on sale) sets down to the retail price of one set. Incredible deal! Thanks much!!

    Yes, wafting is what you do to get a sense of smell from an item (like bacteria grown in microbiology on petri dishes). By doing the wafting you do not directly inhale above the substance, which could be hazardous, but rather you get s sense of the smell of the substance. Nice tips - thank you.

  • @corgily
    @corgily 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The flow restrictor is after the filters instead of before the filters so there is more pressure to push through the filters. If the restrictor was before the filters it would be much harder for the water to go through the filters. Either way the flow is being restricted (before or after), its mainly just if they want the pressure low or high on the actual substrate.

    Just a heads up here. Yes flow restriction is slowed down either way of coming in or going out with that restricter. But you do have it backwards from what the photo you showed on the phone. The diagram does show the restrictor going into the filter and not out like the way you have it.

    re water of course you want safety but i think the benefit to filtering your water is consistency. as you say its so difficult on the road. in my exp you can get used to anything. i dont move around a whole lot so i make a point to train myself to use tap water for drinking and cooking. i know its safe if not perfect and if i was truly worried the crap i add to my water in the form of crystal light, coffee creamer etc makes my concerns less than credible. so i get used to whats easiest to procure.
    in your case theres nothing to become familiar with so filtering may give you a consistent product to start from and then i would def be looking to make do with the simplest water solution available so you can stay hydrated and healthy. skipping because you dont like the available water can lead to trouble!
