I'm Canadian and I must say ... when you know the winters here are pretty rough sometimes and Tim Horton's is open 24h in most big cities across the country Think about this and realize that Tim is a " it's cold I'm hungry and I want something I know that is going to taste exactly like I know it is" and I want to warm up from the cold. Timmi's (like we call it here ) is more of a Winter place for food / in the summer it's more for coffee / Ice coffee treat and Donuts and breakfast on the way to work.

I spent my entire university career studying at my local 24h tims. Became a regular to the point where I'd always get free food. I'm probably the biggest critic out there when it comes to talking about how bad Timmy's got over the years, but won't deny that compared to what I've eaten globally now that I've been working for over a decade and get to travel...Tim's probably is the #1 chain in the world for what it does...and it does it REALLY well. Got it down to a science. Much more appreciative of Tim's tbh. Honey Cruller is the GOAT.

I remember when Timmies first rolled out the Tims' breakfast sandwich. I was in highschool, woke up at 4:30am, there was a blizzard, the snow was up to my calves. I layered up with my house coat, 2 coats and a sweater and slash pants. slap my snowboots on with my snowcap and shades. It was dark as hell, I walked for 2 hours in the blizzard till I got to Tims. Tried the Sausage and Egg and was floored. Worth it. As a kid who's town was so small, we had zero name brand stores, that Timmies opening up there was lifechanging.
With my lifetime of Tim’s experience I can confidently say that you cannot get the full Tim’s experience in one go. You really achieve the full Tim’s experience when you find your regular order and after years and years of getting the same thing it always tastes the same. Also the warm drinks and soup on a cold day 11/10
I came to Canada in 2007 for the first time without my parents and that was when I first experienced chicken noodle soup... Came back in Jan 2023 and the first thing I ordered was a black dark roast and chicken noodle soup. I'd craved it for YEARS! And OMG, It was like coming home to my favorite comfort food!!! HOW IS IT STILL THE SAME?! (Now living in Alberta and I'm glad it's finally soup season again ☺).

Honestly, the best donuts are never from a chain. Go find a hole-in-the-wall shop run by a middle-aged married couple who make everything from scratch. You end up with a donut as big as your face, fluffy and full of all the sugary joy a donut should bring.

It's hard really fuck up a donut, so naturally they have a few good ones (they had a limited time Oreo filled donut that I thought was actually crazy good), but almost every place I've been to that does donuts does them better than Tim's.

Don't get me wrong, I am 100% workers being able to be passive aggressive or just outright refuse to serve rude people. But they aren't rude just because you don't like their order. If someone's polite, and treating you respectfully, you have no reason to be petty to them, and it makes you seem extremely unprofessional. I have worked in the food industry, I know how annoying huge orders are; but judge the people based off how they are acting, not on how much they order.

As a Canadian I agree that a pulled pork sandwich needs to be drowning in sauce unless you're a master at making it and can make it moist and flavorful every time in which case the sauce is more for extra flavor. Thankfully, Timmy's doesn't normally have pulled pork on the menu.

With my lifetime of Tim’s experience I can confidently say that you cannot get the full Tim’s experience in one go. You really achieve the full Tim’s experience when you find your regular order and after years and years of getting the same thing it always tastes the same. Also the warm drinks and soup on a cold day 11/10
I came to Canada in 2007 for the first time without my parents and that was when I first experienced chicken noodle soup... Came back in Jan 2023 and the first thing I ordered was a black dark roast and chicken noodle soup. I'd craved it for YEARS! And OMG, It was like coming home to my favorite comfort food!!! HOW IS IT STILL THE SAME?!

Honestly, the best donuts are never from a chain. Go find a hole-in-the-wall shop run by a middle-aged married couple who make everything from scratch. You end up with a donut as big as your face, fluffy and full of all the sugary joy a donut should bring.

It's hard really fuck up a donut, so naturally they have a few good ones (they had a limited time Oreo filled donut that I thought was actually crazy good), but almost every place I've been to that does donuts does them better than Tim's.

Don't get me wrong, I am 100% workers being able to be passive aggressive or just outright refuse to serve rude people. But they aren't rude just because you don't like their order. If someone's polite, and treating you respectfully, you have no reason to be petty to them, and it makes you seem extremely unprofessional.
I have worked in the food industry, I know how annoying huge orders are; but judge the people based off how they are acting, not on how much they order.

As a Canadian I agree that a pulled pork sandwich needs to be drowning in sauce unless you're a master at making it and can make it moist and flavorful every time in which case the sauce is more for extra flavor. Thankfully, Timmy's doesn't normally have pulled pork on the menu.

I actually worked at Tim Hortons for a year, and that wrap markiplier got was made by hand. That was a damn beautiful wrap right there. Whoever made that was SKILLED
