A 12 handicap with a low of 79? Now that's some relatable content! It was eye-opening to watch someone at my exact level on TH-cam. Helps put my game into perspective. Thanks Playa! Sage is definitely on the way to lower scores. Hopefully I am too.
My game is very similar tbh, I am a 21 handicapper, some days i play that, some days i play like a 9 handicapper. I love watching vids like this makes me really think on the course.
SAGE! Man what an awesome sight seeing sage on your channel, I had the pleasure of speaking with him last Christmas and just all around nice guy. Really hope this launches his channel to the stratosphere and love sidekick helping others grow. Just awesome stuff❤️
Thing is, if you look at the distances for many of the drives and then the 2nd shots, Sage does hit it a very long way. He just doesn't look like he trying to hit the cover off the ball each time.
Sir, I appreciate this view into your travels along the Way of the Playa, and applaud your forthright and self-aware analyses. In that vein may I offer a small suggestion - just try it for 9 holes sometime soon. The difference will amaze you. Upon hitting your putt move directly to your ball and either collect it from the cup and head to the next tee, or putt again. Drop the I Can’t Believe I Missed That Putt body contortions. They’re unbecoming. And it’s not your fault: that’s just one of the Bad Habits We Unconsciously Pick Up Watching Pro Golf On TV. Thanks for having an open mind about this. Enjoy the journey. Cheers.
Great Job Saga Nice to see a Playa using the Way of the Playa ideas. Inspiring to me to really focus on implementing these ideas in my own game. Hope to see more videos from you and other playa’s. Using GolfSide kick method. Cheers mate
That chip and run out the trees on the first was perfect mate. Obviously could’ve been a bit closer but that’s a great shot in there securing a certain bogey after two bad shots in a row.
I love the reaction at 7:11 when you hit the bunker shot close. So happy. That's me when I get it within 10 feet! Shows you can take the game seriously and still have fun. It's a tricky balance for me, as I'm a bit of a perfectionist with some things. I'm sometimes guilty of expecting too much of myself and getting angry and forgetting to have fun. And this is, after all, really why I'm there. Enjoyable video start to finish, Sage!
When I see sage swing a club I imagine a knife going right thru butter. Never knew a punch shot was important until recently, very underrated. It helped me out of trouble twice at a crucial moment. Monday I broke 100 for the second consecutive time! both times were 97 LOL. my next target is 95... Lets get it baby!
am i to understand that you are driving the ball 300+? i.e. - hole 8 and 9... given the yardages displayed, you hit 320 and 290 respectively.... somewhat surprising since your swing speed seems on the slower side of the spectrum.
Too much focus on that - it is mere distraction from the main point. More than likely inaccurate calculations due to pin placement, the placement and angle of the hole.
May I make one suggestion that I’ve seen, not only in your game but my own. I see if you’re in right side rough you tend to miss right, so do I. I am also weird with left side rough I tend to pull the ball, I’ve really been working on fixing that
This is dead on...fairways, fairways, fairways and a reliable shot to get out of trouble.. once you break 90 your putting and chipping is on point...big thing breaking 85 is eliminate doubles and give yourself a par putt on every hole...girs are icing on the cake...if you're on in 3 every hole you're eventually going to make enough pars to bring you close and probably better cause you'll also hit girs and maybe a birdie... Next stop to break 80 is as many girs as possible (doesn't matter where just get on in 2) and then to shoot par its all about proximity to the hole on your approach to get shots and makeable one putts and hope to sink as few from 10 to 15 ft for some birdies to buffer the inevitable bogeys I'm currently trying to break 80 and its definitely my iron game, jist not enough girs
Check out the pro results. Lots of high 70’s and low 80’s. You just don’t hear about them as much as the ones who shoot -7 or whatever. And a lot of those guys who shoot -7 end up shooting high 70’s and low 80’s as their mojo runs out. Lol
Thanks for having me Chief. Look forward to rolling out the red carpet for your Euro tour and sharing a couple of vegan steaks

Let’s go
shot my first 85 friday and an 83 monday! definitely big to master punch shots into safe space. Wedge game and putts were also crucial!
My game is very similar tbh, I am a 21 handicapper, some days i play that, some days i play like a 9 handicapper. I love watching vids like this makes me really think on the course.
Over my last 3 games I’ve shot a 90, a 95, and an 83! Thanks Matt!! I’ve never broke 90 and I finally smashed it!
Great to see the Baus supporting others to aspire to his level of greatness. Well done Sage. Will also follow your channel
Cheers Brett appreciate it mate
Excellent. Tempo is the thing. Smooth swing and center contact is so much easier then trying to swing hard like the pros.
Great exposure for the Hackr being on a Sidekick video. Lots of good content on both channels.
Appreciate that mate!

Appreciate that Preston my man, hope you’re keeping well!
Oh wow! Congrats on the opportunity! Nice stuff!
Thanks man 👍🏼
nice to watch someone at my level who doesn't bomb it off the tee (yet) and had to play from trouble.
well done
Appreciate that John!

Great stuff guys....no one escapes the tuba....
The PlayaHackr Sage! Been following his journey and man, he's progressing fast...Hyped to see him working with you!
Keep up the grind Arnold 👏🏼👏🏼
Yoooooo thanks for sharing Sage this way. He has my subscription. These guest videos are awesome. Do more. (I'll wait for my invite playa.)
Love it Matt. I'm sure Sage is honored to be featured on your channel.
Affirmative Playa, very
Perfect timing, shot a PR of 85 on Monday.

Thanks Bruce I’ll try but can’t make any promises
Sage you made it!! Awesome to see you on this channel. The hard work is paying off both on and off the course!
Appreciate it brother 🤙🏼

Cheers Scotty, just a Playa following the chiefs footsteps

Take a bogey after that second shot any day of the week
The tempo is dreamy.......
Great playing Sage! Sidekick, get him on the Dr. Bob train, that’ll clean up the putting and put 79 WELL within reach.
Crews Hill, great course in Enfield, North London. Nicely played.
That’s the one 👍🏼
Sage has a bit of a Keegan Bradley shuffle behind the ball when he is looking at target line for irons. Cool!!
definitely helps to get to the ball when fully committed
Great video, enjoyed it a lot! I just shot 85 twice, my hcp is 19.5, so i hope i can finally lower it a bit
Keep at it Captain 👍🏼

Cheers mate!
Good seeing Sage here, been a sub since your first vid @Sage
🙏🏼 appreciate it Tyron!
Nice one Sage! What great surprise to see your video on the baus’s channel!
Cheers Geoff! Stay well mate 👍🏼
ClubProGuy would be impressed with how carefully you think through your punch out shots.
So easy to rush those ones

Not always that smooth Playa. Sometimes more like a butter knife through a rump steak

That’s not how distance of shots is calculated. Common error
Great stuff. Nice commentary as well 👍⛳
Appreciate that Bryan!
Nice vlog Sage.
Cheers Howard!
Excellent content. Cheers.
Cheers Fiesal!
Hole 5, you hit that 5 iron 250, nice !
Can definitely relate to these situations. Good video got to subscribe to watch a fellow Aussies journey

Yeah I feel you there I hate people behind me waiting to play I always rush and miss stupid puts that should not be missed lol
320 yard drive on 8
250 yard 5 iron on 5
Impressive

looking great kid.
Nice video Sage! What are you using for the shot info on the top right and making the path of your shots?
Shot tracer app for tracers and PowerPoint for the score card 👍🏼

Great video mate, but i must admit I was close to throwing up when I saw that 3-ball putter
Don’t blame you.. it’s not exactly easy on the eye is it
Nice video. Not sure about that putter.
Nice round Playa.😎
Cheers Jason👍🏼

drive on 8th hole went 320 yards!! something's amiss.

Just shot an 83 playas! Easy peasy
Not the double bogey tuba!
I died with you on that par 3 8th…
Yep looks like me but yet I’m guilty of pulling driver every time
Dat sand save on the 5th….
What was the total yardage you were playing?
Yellow tees at crews hill is 6055 yards, 60 rating slope 113, par 70
Thanks for the video! That putter though 🤢
Needs to go ay
my problem is i can never find my ball
Never give up, it only takes 1 shot to be Captain save a hole.. To quote a Baus Guru. Mate you from NZ or Australia? Cuz thats not a Bolton accent...?
think he is from liverpool
@@GolfSidekick I thought he was Latvian… 🤨
NZ’s coolest little capital
Sand game like a baus
A third bunker in this round and that statement would’ve been toast
Like a bawse
the amount of practices swings... sheesh
