    My best rounds lately have been when I put the driver away and hit a 4 iron off every tee. Maybe I'll throw a hybrid in there occasionally but there's nothing better than hitting a shot 210-220, and getting up and down all day. Your tips have been so helpful for me, I've never felt more confidential.

      I'm similar in that I hit my 5 iron around 215 or so and hit driver maybe 4 times a round. I do hit a 3 wood off the tee quite a bit too, but I make way more birds and pars from the fairway off a flat lie . I love it when my buddies accuse me of playing old man golf when they're paying me off 😂

    Also, I love the greenside "feel" talk at 15-16 minutes. That backfoot, closed face chip is the technique that I use the most often, since it's my most consistent and comfortable, and I always love seeing golfers who are far better than I am using it.

      Gotta increase your ball striking frequency. Make more time for your game so when you're on the course you're playing golf and not guessing how it feels! Chipping is really great but imo 80+ comes from lack of ball striking practice during the week. Make the time, baby! You got this!

    I regularly shot low 80's as a junior, but I really wasn't planning too well because I was a dumb kid. It's been a very long time since I've played golf, but this time it's extremely different. My body can't perform at the same level it once did. I'm permanently disabled and I must use a walker to even walk now. I was a disabled junior, but my disease had not progressed enough to limit my mobility at that time. Over time it got worse and I would fall over with every golf swing. So I hung it up for many years.
    However I found a golf course near me that has a special cart designed for handicaps that stands you up and supports your body so you can play the game you love again! I am going to have a blast figuring out how to play golf again from that cart!

    1:44 - I went away from using the line on the ball for my alignment and just trusting that I've lined up correctly. For longer putts I try and pick something on the green (a discoloration, a fixed pitch mark, etc.) to aid with my alignment. But once I'm ready to putt I'm not focused on the line on the ball, I'm just thinking about contact and pace. I'm sinking just as many long putts as I used (which isn't many), but I'm in better position to make that 2nd putt far more often because I'm not leaving them ridiculously short or long. Obviously do whatever works for you, I've just noticed a lot of improvement to my pace control since I've stopped using the line on the ball.

    My 14yr old daughter started playing rounds with me this year. She's taken 2 lessons and likes spending time with me. She has a solid 120yd dead straight shot - I told her that is her shot and she can beat many people with it.
    She was sitting at the table and heard the bunker speech and asked wtf I was watching - in her own words of course. I think you have a new fan gangsta.

      Also well done on having your daughter enjoy spending time with you at the age of 14. That’s better than breaking 80 i reckon.

    Do you go with the same caddie at each course? They seem very supportive of the baus

      Usually i find a regular Caddie. Makes golf much more fun. Very strange having a human forced on to you when you want to relax playing golf. So i try find regulars

    Waddaguru 😊 Matt I know it says use Google on your channel for Thailand courses but it would be great even if you had a little text at the start of a video, just saying where the courses you’re playing are, I’d love to find out

    Quick question about flyer lies. I don't really hit ball first with irons, and because I don't hit down on the ball, I find I lose 10-20yds once in a while out of a lie sitting down in the rough. Obvi I want to improve my striking, but do you have any advice for my sweepy swing out of the rough?

      @GolfSidekick  26 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Use more club. You can also usually use a hybrid or fairway woods from the rough because the sweep through the rough better and suit a swept swing.
