Never trust a manufacturers promised range, you will never achieve it. They obtain that under extremely perfect conditions i.e. tested somewhere in the Himalayas (less resistance) doing 1km/h... going downhill. 😁
Good luck with charging a 400 km range from a household 15 amp plug overnight. Good luck with the service centre and parts once your battery catches fire and computer crashes. Google the problems customers had in China and other countries. See tens of thousands of Chinese electric cars dumped in European ports unsold.
You can service these EV's yourself. Buying the Dayun for my business. Just the warranty period alone will make me save R200k from not filling up. All the nay sayers are stuck in the past. Will be people like me that will go through the experience and prove you all wrong. Then after a few years you will only start to move over and realize having a big enough solar facility where you don't pay electricity and petrol is the way to go
With the influx of all these electric cars on the South African market, I can see a huge problem in the longish term when those batteries start to get lazy and won't give as much charge as they should, then it would surely hit the fan, I will stick to my I.C.E. vehicle, because it has stood the test of time, good luck with those who are buying these cars, you're going to need it!!
Thanks Greg🎉 They pushing with EVs in SA but our infrastructure needs to be boosted to accommodate otherwise we can’t see ourselves driving far with this would be nice but we need EV stations plenty No parcel shelf?
If this sells well as other Chinese cars have in the South African market then we are welcoming the return of load shedding. The grid won't handle this
No, and neither can your house power this car. During load-shedding or not. If the ANC gets enough bribes, then they can up the tax on petrol to force South Africans to buy Chinese throw away cars.
@@eish3291 what you talking about. I have solar, I'm off the grid. Soon I will not pay petrol along with electricity. I would rather be nuts and not pay R100k on petrol annually

South Africa is the dumping ground for cheaply made ev's from China. You will pay for this in the long run. No second hand market value for these. Be weary and think twice before making a call on this.
Was there a 2 Nd hand market for Japanese and Korean brands when they first introduced their cars in S.A ? Probably not because they were a new name on the block up until those who took a chance discovered hey these Jap cars are reliable and fuel efficient. Before that everyone thought of their products as Jap Crap.
And when it breaks down you will be stuck. No thank you. Parts are only available maybe at the dealership if you lucky. I will support only Kia and Hyundai.
Just love how people that don't know about cars or have a clue, get invited to these events. especially if he did not even learn the script properly. Typical inner circle click culture.
Load of crap. Charge it by using electricity from burning coal. Plus the batteries contain highly toxic materials that cannot currently be recycled. Cobalt from DRC where basically slave labour is employed and Lithium that is so toxic it's leeching pools kill any animal that comes near or even flies over it. Environmentally friendly my ass. Also when they catch fire as so many tend to do you can't contain the fire with water as lithium burns even hotter when water is added to it. Just hope load shedding never returns coz then you and your EV will be screwed. Push that EV hard and the range drops by 50%. Can't wait for hydrogen tech to take over as this EV daftness is insane. EV's also have the poorest resale value as the batteries when they require replacing cost more than the original purchase price of the car. To add insult to injury the rate of EV vehicle spontaneous combustion, YES, they catch fire just all by themselves has led to devastating loss of lie as well as property! Hate to see what happens if one is involved in an accident as lithium batteries don't like compression. Compression causes lithium to start burning!!!!!! Testimony to the danger they pose is recently an entire Car Carrier Ship carrying only EV's sank. Why because one caught fire, then the fire could not be contained so they all caught fire, which resulted in the entire ship sinking with it's toxic cargo of several hundred EV nightmares just waiting to poison the ocean !!!!!!
@@craigabrahams1797 If you buy the established European brands, then you help save jobs in South Africa. All big manufacturers like BMW, Ford, VW, and Toyota manufacture here. They even manufacture certain models for the oversees markets. If we buy too many of these Chinese subsidized cars, then the Europeans will close factory in South Africa. Meaning millions of job losses. China will never use local labour to do anything. And when the car plants close, then we can not afford to buy cars any-more.

Price depends on which politician they have made a deal with!
Is called Nanmi 01 in Costa Rica, nice car. I got the Forthing Friday this year, no complaints so far
Not people saying they should rebox it and send it back😭. But on a serious note it's kind of affordable for an ev so I'm not complaining.
It looks so cute with the cat animation. Can't wait to see the other colours as well
