For me a 4 door hatch sedan is more than enough in term of practicality and way more beautiful and better to drive than an suv... Just look at an a7, a 8 series grancoupe, a amg 4 door coupe...
tbf the current CLA is still a very competitive car, good enough technology, amazing engine and transmission and they are actually fairly reliable, feels quite luxury, nice overall modern mercedes design and ok price, so I'm not feeling in need too much of a rush for this new one to come out

I love how honest and off the cuff Nicola is when she completes a review. Very relatable and yet still covers off all the important aspects of the vehicle. Love her work!
There's no way that interior will make it into production, however even if 50% of the external styling on this thing makes it into production, it's going to be stunning.
My first thought was that it looked like a dentist appointment sitting inside the car :) Outside looks nice, but far away from older classic Mercedes designs inmo. But its a trend among all car brands right now.
All they need is the shape, front swooping light bar and headlights. It will be a hit seller. Interior can mostly match what’s in today’s cars and it would sell!
Concept cars are like brainstorming ideas. What comes out of it are a few things that make sense and a direction for the new design that will go to production, with adjustments to fit safety and regulations.
they already reached a worldrecord with it...3770km in 24h and an average speed of 155km/h...including the charging stops!!!...they drove 210km/h. We will see the introduction early in 2025...but most likely sold later in 2025 oder 2026.

Seems they are able to transport a lot of this tech into the new MMA Platform...which is meant to be at 12kwh/100km.
Next gen, totally. Love the spacious feeling up front - dropped all the middle but kept arm rest and cup holder ;).. Wide screen - awsome! Low cw aero = great (efficient!). Price .... ???
Been saying for years that EVs need an overdrive gear and finally!! Get that mainstream and efficiency will be through the roof across the board. If that's the only thing that remains from concept to production allong with the overall design, it will have seriously moved the market on.
They are drawing a lot on the EQXX with this one, so I’d expect it to be very efficient in the 60-80mph range, and it sounds like it charge at Taycan like rates as well. Could be an excellent cross-continent cruiser

The interior of this concept car reminds me of a 1960,s American milk bar juke box for some reason, and crossed with a ‘KitchenAid’ blender appliance 😮
Other than the gaping "fish mouth" front grille that`s a great looking car from Mercedes... Although it still can`t compete with the delectable Nicola...

i dont know, car review channels, sometimes say X car will be most likely in competition wit the 3 or Y, but the math dosnt compute.. sometimes they say it will be in competition with the Model Y but the car is way smaller, or less powerful or way more expensive, in which case its not a competition. if a car starts at $45K and another $65K its not a competition. they are in different price segments. if the car is a foot shorter, they are in a different segment, if one car base model dose 0-60mph in 9 and another 6 seconds, they are not competing, if you add these up, and you have a Model Y which accelerates faster, is longer and cheaper then another car, then its not competing with the Tesla model Y in any aspect..
The Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA Class was unveiled on September 4, 2023, at IAA Mobility in Munich, Germany. It's intriguing why they have decided to release a video about it at this time.
Because it will be official introduced soon in 2025...they already reached a world record with it...3770km in 24h and an average speed of 155km/h...including the charging stops!!!...they drove 210km/h. They charged it for best loading speed from 5 to 50% in 8mins!!!
All expensive car deprecate fast...no difference to the past...and I am happy for it, since I always buy cars after view month used by the OEM itself...my last Passat was 50% off after only 13k km used.
Oh don't you worry, these creases will not make into production, they will reduce them and slap glass on top of it (aerodynamics and to avoid dirt n snow piling up) so you get another big dull teardrop, just like all their current models.
Hey Nicola, I’ve just handed back my CLA Shooting Brake and gone electric. It was an amazing car and always got Wow!s with it. I also think you’re Very Good at what you do. I like your style. Oh, and this concept car has got me thinking again.🙏🇲🇹🏴🇬🇧.
Im excited to go back driving MB! I have BYD, for the price of my BYD its good but not as cool and fun to drive like my old MB C class 2015. Im ready to buy another MB. But the EQS is not appealing and mad L IMO. If this releases, ill buy it because I know what a MB car feels. And it looks cool.
This may approach the efficiency of my Ioniq wind knife, madness how a basically 8 year old ev design that was not even designed to be an EV is more efficient than anything else. Still getting 5.5 miles / kwh in November. Hope they deliver
When I first looked at the thumbnail picture in this video I thought it's another AI generated image. So glad to know this is a real thing, that is as amazing as your presentation. I wish all car reviewers however stop comparing german electric cars to Tesla because to me there's nothing to compare really. Sitting in such a cabin alone would be worth everything tesla makes in one hundred years. It's like comparing a Rolex to a smartwatch.
The child detection isn't new. 18 years ago Volvo was the first car to ever include that type of sensor. The Heartbeat Sensor was first introduced by Volvo in 2006 as part of the Personal Car Communicator (PCC) system. It debuted with the launch of the Volvo S80, which was the first model to feature this technology.
Tesla m3s are dull. The obvious competitor for this car is the Hyundai Ioniq 6. Both these cars look like Batman’s “going out casually” car. And did you mention a shooting brake? I’m counting my savings already.
The most appealing thing about it is it's not another SUV.
At the same time . . . the most sad thing is . . . it is the next in an endless line of 4 door sedans. Like we didn't have enough 4-door sedans.
@@BMWHP2 It will make a pleasant change from the past decade of 9 out 10 new vehicles being boring boxes on wheels we've had here in Europe.

Well said
To be fair... they should just make it ASAP, there is no time left for legacy automakers to show prototypes for years, competition is fierce!

I feel the same about the ONE ELEVEN but without that bizarre low-line aero-fixated underskirt.
Mercedes is known for playing around with concept cars. It's a thing they do and love.

Good looking car inside and out. The interior is very nice, have not seen that much chrome inside a car since 1958.
I'll eat my hat if it gets close to 5.2m per kWh.
Great preview Nicola, thanks.
5.2mil/kWh is the projected lowest consumption in the WLTP cycle, Mercedes easily gonna achieve that, they know what they are doing.

If this sold at near the price of a Model 3 then Model 3 sales would cease to exist.
