In Germany you can get the monthly plan continuously not just for 24 month. I have it since may 2021 for 3,99€ for my iPad Air 4th Gen. Since we keep our Apple stuff mostly in the family for a longer time, it is worth it.
6:07 This the trickiest coverage of the warranty. You can avail apple care plus in a span of 60 days after the date you purchased or activated your brand new iphone and that warranty has a 2 year coverage. So if you think about it, a normal phone user with a decent charge cycle habit has a very little chance(not impossible though) of them degrading their battery health down to 80% below specially the pro model Iphone with high capacity in span of 2 years.
Thanks Daniel :) Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. 🎄Some addtional info. If you sign up for the monthly coverage of AppleCare+ or AppleCare+ Theft and Loss it's not transferable to someone else if you for instance sell your iPhone during the coverage. If it's the 2 year plan it is transferable. Also if you end up selling your iPhone or giving it away you have the option of cashing out the remaining coverage of a 2 year plan on a prorated basis to recover some of the initial cost. Just bought an iPhone 15 Pro Max last week and I'm heading out for a walk to the Apple Store to add this coverage. :)

Apple care+ is not worth it right up until the point you wished you had it....I think its great and wouldn't buy a new apple product without it...however I think apple knows most of who purchases apple care+ are the ones who take pride in their devices so the chances of them breaking an item is lower than the ones without apple care .
Your logic seems a bit weird. The whole point of insurance is to reduce risk. If you are careful with your devices then it doesn't make sense to have insurance. That means if you care for your device then already have a reduced chance of breaking it. If I was an individual or parties, gets drunk, work in harsh environments like a construction yard, engage in active lifestyle with my phone then that would increase the chance of my device getting broken if I carry it with me. Then it makes sense to get insurance. It's the same concept like your health or car insurance. If you are a risky driver then your car insurance is more expensive.
@@davidhughes4489 Depending on your situation you might be overpaying for piece of mind. There are also more than one way to tackle a risk. For example if you prone to be careless and drop your phone a lot then a more shock absorbing case would be more cost effective than just Apple care: $200 vs $50. At the end you have to do what's best for you and makes you sleep better.
I assume that the lost or stolen phone would be disabled permanently that’s why it requires it to have find my device enabled during the time of the incident so a warranty or insurance fraud would be almost impractical.
£12.49 a month in the UK I changes phones every year so works out cheaper than buying the plan and it stops me worrying if I smash my phone I’ll always buy it… great video new subscriber here 👍 Edit: The monthly payment plan just keeps going until you cancel there’s no set term
I think the same as Daniel, applecare+ it may be only for people who dropp their apple products a lot , but for me as a very careful person it won’t be worthy . cool video Daniel thanks.
Here is my problem- In January 2022, I paid $800.00 plus and 2year apple care for a 7 series 41mm stainless steel watch with cellular. After the first year the watch was replaced but you do not get a new warranty for the replacement watch. It is warranted with the balance of the first watch, which was January 2024.So after one year the replacement watch has stopped and has no warranty. Apple’s price to repair it is $469.00 and no warranty. Why would I do that? I don’t know if I should trust another Apple Watch.
I’ve been waffling on if I should get apple care for my 16 pro. I’ve always had phone insurance through AT&T but their costs have gone up so much it’s not worth it anymore. And I realized despite paying monthly for insurance my phones typically last 4 generations and I haven’t needed a replacement phone since the iPhone 4 or 5. They’re just durable as hell, the only thing I foresee needing repairs on is a battery replacement when mine inevitably gets janky in 2-3 years. Paying monthly seems silly when I can just afford the replacement. Since my iPhones usually last 4 years, and most things don’t go wrong til after that, there seems to be no point in having AppleCare plus for me. If it’s a manufacturer defect those usually crap out within the one year warranty and get handled without costing me anything in my experience from having one Apple Watch that had Bluetooth issues.
This is true, you have to make a Genius Bar appointment for Apple Care screening and if they deem you eligible, you can add monthly AppleCare past the 60 days.
I used to think Apple care + wasn’t really worth the money until one year I learnt a valuable lesson due to unseen circumstances my iPhone 11 at the time bricked it and I ended with a expansive paper weight. I rang up Apple support explaining what happened and they quoted over £500 which I refused. Anyway lesson learnt got a new iPhone and bought an Apple Card + outright I’m not taking a chance anymore. So yeah take out Apple care +.
Also broke my back screen the other day because my girlfriend stacked her perfume on a shelf that was only screwed in the drywall. It fell, and some glass perfumes hit the back of my phone and basically crushed it. Went to Apple paid $30 they didn’t ask no questions either. My screen in the front has a legit thousands of micros & a few deep scratches & was lowkey hoping they gave me a whole phone new phone.
