I've bought a renewed Apple Watch from Amazon. Initially, there were a few hiccups - a minor scratch/dent on the casing and a battery health of 87%. But here's the plot twist: I discovered this bad boy came with AppleCare+! Yep, that's right. So, I decided to test my luck and contacted Apple. To my surprise, they approved a replacement.
Fast forward to today, and I'm unboxing a Series 7 Apple Watch, possibly even better than my expectations. It's eco-friendly packaging, stainless steel body. Let's get it paired up and check that battery health - spoiler alert, it's a solid 100%.

I need your advise on one thing related to Apple Care.
I bought an iPad 5 from Apple about a year ago. It still has Apple Care. I deopped it and now it has a hairthin crack on the lower part of the screen. I contacted Apple and it would cost me $70 to have it replaced by a refurbished from Apple iPad of the same model.
My question is:
Should I keep the original that works perfectly and save $70 or should I replace it?
Anyway, if I ended up selling it, be it the cracked one or the refurbished I won’t get even close to $200.
Tough call guess it really just depends on how much it annoys you and how long you want to keep it. With the crack being there the screen is weaker so another drop would more likely lead to a larger crack. But with the value being lower saving the $70 for an eventual newer model may be the better option.
All repairs are usually factory refurbished devices. They may have a something that hasn't worked from factory and they replace that! So its near enough new! They will always have a new battery etc in it!

I have ipad pro 2022 model, last week the ipad fell and the screen shattered but I have applecare+. Do I get the newest ipad if I replaced mine or the same year model?
It will be the same. Usually only time they upgrade is if they don’t have any stock left of the old one.

I just purchased a apple watch se 2 , do you think its worth getting the applecare+ for 50$ & what does it cover ? Im worried about screen cracking or water damage really . Ive heard from others that most of the time they send you a brand new one.
I always get it. Yeah you can reach out to apple support in the app and usually with the repair fee they will just ship you a replacement and you send yours back.

Hi Brian, will they replace the Apple Watch if it has an outstanding balance with the carrier? (Cellular version). Has a cracked screen so my pal stopped paying his monthly bill for the watch through his carrier.
Yes they will, and you will get an unlocked version
Yeah I am not sure how that one will work. Could be worth a shot but I could see them taking the cellular lock into affect and carrying that over to the new one.

I scratched the top of the curved glass edge and the frame of my Apple Watch Series 7. It’s a bunch of little scratches along the top of the glass and frame, the bare aluminum color of the frame is showing through in a small spot. Do you think Apple care+ will be able to swap it out?
If you paid for AppleCare+ they probably will. You’ll just have to pay for the replacement as well should be 50-60 I think? They will be able to tell you.
@@TheAppleBias I’m ok paying for it, it’s been scratched up for almost a year but I held back from going because I thought they would deny it because it’s just cosmetic and not really damaged but after seeing your video I’m going to get it taken care of tomorrow

Does that mean if I buy AppleCare+ on my iPad, I can choose whether to replace or repair? Clearly having it replaced is a better deal since you get a brand new device with a 100% battery health.
Not sure if they will offer the same policy on the larger devices. I’ve done this with the Apple Watch a few times through the years tho.

@@TheAppleBiasahhh sorry my man, if it was me i’d stay on watchOS 9 only because it does run smooth on the 7, I have the Ultra and a SS 8 and it runs WatchOS10 more than good but does lag every now and then, hope that helps, long time subscriber and absolute Geek me lol.
