I can live with that. 😊 Dimash is my favorite singer and Hijo de la Luna one of my favorite songs. ❤ Speaking about favorite songs: Do you have Papa was a rollin stone by the Temptations on your list of songs to analyse? Just wondering. 😅 I suppose you already know it, because who doesn’t? 😊
@@SirHairless I can’t even imagine you not knowing it. It’s a classic. Used endlessly in movies and ads. And there a tons of covers. George Michael did a great one, but as a mesh up with the song Killer by Seal. 😅 But if you really don’t know it, that needs to be remedied. 😉❤️ It’s really long - about 7 Minutes but keeps being interesting throughout. 🥰 Edit: I know your list of songs to check out is very long. And I would be happy if you analyzed it. But if you just wanted to quickly listen to this song (or parts of it) on your own it would be ok too. 😊
Thank you for all your work! You are currently & in my opinion one of if not the best music reactor out there. Your videos feel so cozy somehow, like you're talking with your friends about music. Which is why I always look forward to your videos and I hope next to Pentatonix you are able to bring some more Voctave on the channel cause they have some insanely good pieces.
When I thought I couldn’t appreciate your work as Sir Hairless even more, then, October launched some surprising new facets of SH that I loved and fully support!☺During this month we’ve watched with joy you spontaneously exploring some classic songs that can add valuable knowledge/experience to your audience, such as the awe-inspiring original versions of ‘Brothers in arms’ and ‘Hijo de la luna’... The same can be said in relation to your unexpectedly longer video on ‘Ghost Love Score’, which I think was worth ‘Every. Single. Second. Of. It’... Not to mention all the other precious jewels you and/or your Patreons carefully selected to share with us (thank you sooo much for all of those + for the chosen background song by The Divine comedy with brilliant songwriting!). I’m very happy & proud to be one of the >40K people following your beautiful work as Sir Hairless and I’m looking forward to seeing what you have in store to share with us next!✌
Sir Hairless, thank you for another month of exquisite reactions and analyses! 🙏👌Such good song choices too - by you and by your Patreons - and what pleasure you give all of us! Your background music is as stylish as ever - this The Divine Comedy song is just beautiful, sad, soulful and melancholic.💔Another excellent choice! My rating for October for you Sir Hairless is a definite 10.00 with a first class distinction!!🤩🏆🥇💯 Looking forward to November and then the Christmas Carols! OMG! Can't wait! 😍🥰👏
Nuestro querido Dimash en el top 5!❤ mis respetos para ti, por tu trabajo, por tu honestidad y conocimiento del arte musical Sr. Hairless❤ and please…. More Dimash! Do Passione 🎶🎼🎵😊
Thank you so much for the hard work. You are so appreciated. I still remember your very first rating and the beautiful song we were pestering you for the name of song and the artist😂 Still haven't found it. TX for this. From a absolute (as you may know) Penteholic. Have to admit I love all the music on your channel. Greetings from South Africa
Excited for you to react to PTX’s latest live versions. Kiss from a Rose is a must! Enjoy all of your reactions though. Keep up the great breakdowns! 🫶🏼
At first I didn't question why I'm so drawn to the tritone, but your demo with Dimash validates how utterly beautiful it can be. I can't identify it on my own, so this must be my intuition at work. It's like the tritone imitates ...in a flash...the capriciousness of life. All of which made me wonder is there a song or classical instrumental that has two or more completely different tritones within it's composition, not just a repeating one? I've been quietly listening to October's exquisite song as I type this. I'm in awe of any song writer that can paint the story of a Grand English Lady's extraordinary life with such precise detail. I see it clearly in my minds eye, unfolding like an artists flip book. th-cam.com/video/sJeVN2PyCVw/w-d-xo.html And I loved the bonus Sophie May song--"If I'd never been born". Sophie is a quiet gem, which is my favorite type of singer-artist. 🌸
I'm sure there are countless! The tritone sounds so different depending on the context within which it's used... but it's so recognisable it sounds the same One great (and quite different example) would be the main 2-note descending motif in this: th-cam.com/video/1snv-0jCiWY/w-d-xo.html That flipbook is very cool Yes, A Lady Of A Certain Age is one of my favourite songs. I first heard whilst at university when exploring The Divine Comedy's songs and I was just smitten by it. Usually I can listen to a song tens of times without really noticing the lyrics too much... but the lyrics of this song are just on a different level
@@SirHairless woah! "Are 'friends' electric?". Trippy-mind-bending sound. 😵💫 I quite like it. So the trick for me is not to worry about the 'why'? :) Another song with divine lyrics.
As always, thank you for this month's song ratings. The only rating I found surprising, although well deserved I'm sure, is Mecano scoring 10 pts higher than Forestella for Hijo de la Luna. Poor Adam came in last place in the entirety of the ratings except for PTX's Love is My Drug, which was tied. Perhaps we haven't seen/heard him in his glory yet. Many viewers have suggested the Isle of Wight Festival, which I finally checked and enjoyed him singing Somebody To Love with Queen. I appreciate the work that goes into these ratings and I'm looking forward to another month of musical enlightenment.
Personally I don't attach any importance to the youtubers' rankings, it has no value. For my part, I love Forestella. And most importantly, don't feel sorry for Pentatonix, they're nominated for a 2024 GRAMMY. How cool is it? Results as of February 2025
@@lila1957 Of course it has value, to Sir H and many of his subscribers. I like seeing his opinion of the songs he reacts to because his skill in interpreting music goes far beyond anything I am capable of. As far as Forestella is concerned, I enjoy Sir H's r/a but don't listen to them outside of this channel, so I don't mind that there is a 10 pt difference in the songs, it was just an observation.
Mecano was only just higher than Forestella! And I always say that these ratings (by my standards) are insanely high. Anything above 8/10 for me is considered really good... and 9+ is a really rare occurrence. Just happens to be that the artists recommended to me are those I tend to really rate and enjoy Check out my first ratings video (September/October 2023 and you'll see many ratings lower than 7.8) Thank you!!
@@lila1957 I publish my ratings just in case anyone's interested. Everything has value though, just like you would hope people value your opinion on things. People don't need to agree, of course, and that's what makes it interesting - the difference in opinions
