It needed they to got draft to serve in vietnam to put black and white people being friends, most of the white people who served in vietnam surelly serve with an black person and treated equal as a soldier...

To any Vietnam vet, what did ya’ll feel about this woman and her narrative? Did her voice and broken English cause more anger and frustration? Or was it a pleasant voice to hear during war? Did she play American music while talking over it? This must’ve been mind boggling and annoying 🤔 Did any vets agree with her? I’m just curious as it’s interesting
I had a great uncle that served in Vietnam and he said when they first heard the broadcasts a lot of guys made jokes about her but as the war raged on a lot of what she was saying ended up true and weighed on a lot soldiers minds or other soldiers could careless and didn't let it get to them. Ive never heard him say it was pleasant to hear. He also mentioned no matter what you thought of her theres no turning yourself over to the vietnamese because you were good as dead and you weren't catching a ride home early if you asked, so you stayed and fighted until you died or was your time to go home. There was one story where his scout unit was camping out and the lookouts heard some of her speeches come out of nowhere in the jungle during the middle of the night. Apparently it stopped after some time and they moved camp asap. I do not recall him telling me what the recording they used was.
