Cameron Mosher Uhm she is technically fighting against an invading army, if it was the other way around and she was an american making psychologically warfare on an invading Vietnameese force she’d be commemorated as a patriot.
I get it that to the US she was the enemy, but when it comes down to it you gotta respect that she fought for her country and the best way she could with semi success.

There's no way this awesome propaganda didn't contribute hugely to booting the murderers from her country. She must be so proud. I'm proud for her.
I don't understand her lack of enmity though, sure she didn't lose her family during the war but neither did I yet I really hate each murderer profoundly.

Pretty sure both psy-ops from the US and the North Vietnamese did little, ask any American soldier how they feel about Hanoi Hannah and they got a kick out of it. Ask any vietnamese soldier if they cared about Ghost Tape #10 and they will laugh at the little side show the Americans had going around

@@marw9541 I don't know about ghost tapes but I've heard some of her messages and there's no way you'd get a kick at being called out for your cowardice for instance. When you're constantly reminded you're being a discardable guard dog for the bosses at home, you don't find it funny. You may like and have sympathy for the message or hate it and resentfully mock it. But there's no way to take it lightly.

@@sinekonata Well you can look at what actual vets say, which is predominantly disparaging. Plus last time I checked 18 year old boys don't care what shrewd older women tell them, you think while holding a gun they're going to let someone with an accent get them down? Just look at what the actual soldiers said about these psy-ops, if you aren't even familiar with the american equivalent I don't suppose you've actually heard anyone talk about their experience listening to Hanoi Hannah?
