I just left Croatia and it was amazing. I was in Dubrovnik and Zagreb but definitely will return sometime to visit Split. Thanks for sharing your suggestions.
Thanks for sharing! Interesting choices to consider but in terms of criteria, I would swap out the convenience of an international airport for being close to good healthcare. If you live in a place longer than a month, you only come and go to the airport on arrival and departure but if you get sick or injured, you'll appreciate being able to quickly get to a decent hospital or medical/dental clinic, have English-speaking doctors and nurses, and get the prescriptions or ongoing care you might require.
Thx Chris & Steve! What fun travels you’ve had & we have all been able to watch. 😊🎉 I remember that you had a good time dancing in Spilt (and got good healthcare). It’s great that Croatia is on your list! I just obtained my Croatian citizenship 🇭🇷❣️and can’t wait to go explore next year! It makes it a lot easier to live, work, move in the EU. SO grateful for lineage options. Safe travels, and I can’t wait to see what’s next for you! ❤✈️🎊
Well, that was fun. . . We head to Lima and Miraflores for a month in a few weeks. Can’t wait to enjoy the holidays there. And are planning to take immersive Spanish lessons every morning.
Your bucket list is pretty much the same as mine an ocean, some rivers, some streams, some lakes, some mountains, a small city, some hiking, but also something very important to me. No car and awesome places to ride a bicycle I’ll be watching and learning from you thank you.
Interesting list. Of the ones you listed, Da Nang would be my favorite by far. And as you said, it's very affordable. Just a note, 72 Fahrenheit is actually 22 Celsius. Thanks for sharing!
Loved seeing you with Sarah & Jimmy in Ajijic! You make some great points about the place; I just don't like that the lake is polluted. Living near a lake I'd want to swim, kayak, etc. Regarding Torquay and Bristol...aren't they expensive? We were in Bristol only one day but it had a good vibe. Same with DaNang, but we spent more time in Hoi An and loved the beach life there. OOhhh, you make me want to go to Miraflores. Maybe we need to do that after Buenos Aires. We will be in Tavira right before the cruise, so will let you know what we think. I also heard about a lot of people who fell in love with Portugal, but I didn't. I had some nice moments there but struggled with a number of things that I'm going to write about in a blog entry. Thanks for your videos; I always like hearing your thoughts.
Yes, they are on the high side, but still within our budget. Agree with you about Chapala. Idk you know Jimmie and Sarah. Aren't they fab? We're hanging with them in Patagonia. We'll be in Olhao right before the cruise... Will we actually meet then???
Great video. We are building our own list and have very similar criteria. I really liked your idea of replacing English proficiency of the local population and instead using the expat population to ease transition. We all should learn the local language and I hope to be able to do so. Meanwhile, having someone who can help clearly communicate would be huge. Even your Spanish and Portuguese cities mirror our list. Thanks!
Great video, all places look very nice, but for me Europe is the continent, one can travel around see so many countries, experience so many different cultures in a short time and and such reasonable travel costs, etc, I am looking forward to your video on Spain and Portugal
Wow ! Ajijic?! I’ve spent time there over the years and the biggest turn off for me was the polluted Lake Chapala! it’s totally unusable for recreation or a source of fish for food. Unless something has changed ? what do you think ? update us! Have fun! TY for the video
Thanks for sharing your list. I was surprised you included Peru. I'm originally from Bolivia and I wouldn't live in Peru. It's unsafe, like most Latin American countries, especially for women.

You should!
I really appreciate you breaking down to specific cities rather than just countries or regions. Great suggestions.
You bet! Thanks for the comments.
Great information! We added several of these placed to our list to check out. 😊
Wonderful

Every one of those places except for Vietnam we experienced the health care. It was all a+. We should have mentioned that! Good point.
@@EatWalkLearn So what kind of health insurance do you use/

Congrats to you on your citizenship!
Thank you so much! I started 2 years ago and waited 18 months for the decision. It was a lot of hard work, but totally worth it. 🥰 So relieved! 😅

Thanks for the comments. Da Nang is our favorite for many reasons. Also thanks for the correction on our Celsius conversion.
Great Video! I hadn't thought of Lima!! :)

@@EatWalkLearn We hung out with them in Panama and Hawaii. Love them! I'm going to PM you.
Love this list! Though I thought you were going to add Riga, Latvia!
Riga is great for the summer, but no thanks on those winters!

Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for the video 🎉🎉🎉🎉😅
My pleasure!!
Loved the photos. Was that you in the red shorts jumping into the water (Croatia)? 😮
Yes. That was Steve (in a younger version of himself).
Strike-Out!

Yes, we love Europe too, but staying longer than 90 days requires quite the logistics.
Awesome info for all the TDS sufferers! Bye, y'all!
You bet!

Yes the lake is a turnoff, but *supposedly* they have plans to clean it up
can you make a video about money and the best ways. like credit cards and more. thanks.
Yes, it's coming next week
