Mountain Biking for beginners

Speaking to people that were already keen on this exhilarating sport (and there are a lot!), the advice seemed to be, 'so long as it's not wet, you'll be fine'. Opening the curtains on the cold, wintery morning of our first ever effort, it was slightly concerning that it was tipping it down!
