ASTON HILL MTB IS CRAZY!!

Recently visited Aston Hill to ride some MTB downhill and it was epic. A huge variation of trails from basic trails if your a MTB beginner all the way through to super tech, steep, difficult black trails... if your a more advanced MTB rider!
I captured this video using my GoPro hero7black on the karma gimbal, riding a Haibike ALLMTN 2.0 electric mountain bike. The E MTB was perfect here because there is no uplift/chairlift and the push back up is horrible!

You know I've been noticing how everyone is switching to helmet mounted cams instead of chesties with gimbals. So watching this was a noticeable difference. I actually like chestie footage on flows, but its so jangly and irritating on tech. Might be worth keeping different rig mounts for different trails. At least that's my wee opinion. I agree with this, gimbal let's you appreciate burm and steepness etc, helmet cams never give much 'feeling' of the terrain imo

Wow this is my local stoked u did a vid there, i ride there nearly every weekend sometimes on my hardtail! But u forgor to cover the 4X track that is there just of the side of ricociet it has some large tables

Great video. I was there last week just sessioning each part of ricochet and getting it dialled 🤟. The camera doesn't do it justice of how steep it actually is 🤟

I live 20 mins from Aston hill but I’m still fairly new to mountain biking. As much as I want to go there I get the feeling it’s not for faint hearted 😂

I ride there all the time and got my sister to go there for the first time today and she loved it if you haven't done 4x yet I'd recommend it as it is flowy and great jumping practice

Went today, think I'll wait till it dries out, the clay just filled the tyres and made it super slow and sketchy . Btw the route back up is a public footpath and golfers/hikers can/will complain.
