I was excited about bessel III with 5 resources, 8 is amazing. You should do a video of putting planets together and what product you can build when linking them. Thanks
Excellent finding! :) I just set up my outpost. Just one thing to add: be cautious in between iron and lead - on your video, even though it said 8 resources, there are actually 7, no lead. Iron and Lead are on the opposite sides of the outpost circle, so sometimes it will show lead and iron, but one of these two will not be available to build. What worked for me is to have Iron so small that I can't even see it on the map when I try to build, just enough space for one extractor. Lead has plenty of space, but somehow I can't find a spot where the Iron area is bigger, as the whole lead area disappears when I move the outpost post a bit toward Iron.
I think it's been said already, but definitely save-scum to find the sweet spot. The landing markers will not go away and will murder your chances of finding the perfect spot. It's not quite Bessell-3 because of the time conversion, but eight resources on a single outpost is phenomenal if you have Commerce maxed out.
Very well done. Every video I’ve seen on outpost so far, have glided over important details. I get the impression that their real purpose is just to show us how smart they are. Your video took us step by step and omitted nothing. Again, we’ll done
Thanks for this excellent information: I was able to place the outpost with all 8 resources, but in build mode I was not able to get both Lead and Iron extractors to appear in the Build menu... by finessing the location, even with 8 listed I was only able to get one of iron or lead extractors in the build menu, so I chose Iron over Lead because iron is more generally useful especially for this as a first outpost.
Sadly it seems like it keeps doing that… I know the video says 8 (cause I didn’t realize the glitch before finishing it) but 7 is still really good! Tho others have said with enough messing with it you can still get all 8? I haven’t tried it myself but if so… OOOWEE!!! I’m glad it could help tho! 😊 Another Starfield video coming soon! 😃
Great find! While your outpost placement resource list has eight resources, once you switched over to the extractor placement you lost the lead resource. All of the extractors that you had listed had places; but lead was no longer listed. I have fiddled around with this a few times and -- so far -- whenever I have eight resources on the placement list, one of two things happen: Either lead or iron are not in the extractor list; or while all of the extractors are listed, the iron resource does not have a placement.... I will continue to try for a little bit; but it seems that the shape of the outpost boundary depends upon where you are standing AND where you are placing the outpost marker.
I’m starting to think that it’s just another bug. Like the game can’t read all 8 at once so it kinda defaults by deleting 1. To me it appears to be a bug and hopefully will be fixed with a update soon enough 🥺
@@PharaohRising I finally found it. There is a spot that lists all eight in the outpost placement list AND has the extractors. I had to locate the deposits and then place the outpost again where the eight showed. With the iron extractor selected, I just went to where I knew the deposit was. There is about a 1 pixel wiggle room; but I was able to place a level 3 iron extractor on it. As far as water, it just uses the evaporator... so I have that going too in order to supply the greenhouses. Greenhouses produce fiber and sealant. Animal resources are Antimicrobial, lubricant, Metabolic agent, and pigment (but AntiMicrobial requires nutrients which the greenhouse doesn't produce). Again, great find on the location... Thank you!
I have this problem with iron. When I pull up the outpost. Suddenly, I only have 7. I run around to find 8. I find 8. Iron missing again. If I try to replace the outpost on the same spot. Sure enough, only 7. This game is so borked!!! I think I will be in the market for another game soon. This one is proving to be too challenging with all the inconsistencies. Sometimes use X, sometimes use E, sometimes use R. sometimes use B all for the same type of function. Sometimes you roll your mouse to zoom, sometimes you use your scroll wheel. The lead programmer is an idiot, and has no business being in charge of coders. There are more, but honestly it's exhausting.
Outpost boundary seems to have snap points if you will, or rounded coordinates it centers around. Not free placement as the beacon leads to believe. I got same boundaries with many different beacon placements. But there is minimum of one location where all 8 can be collected. Placing beacon and going into scanner mode to see what resource is left out, helps with re-placing
@@PharaohRising As the landing has to be pixel perfect, it is very difficult to land in the exact same spot when you have different skill levels in scanning :(
@@PharaohRising I can confirm as someone who has zero points in scanning, its a lot harder. I can see on my map "roughly" what you see, but it appears millimetres count lol and after 3 or 4 hours of trying over two days, I still haven't found it yet, but I will keep trying :D
Thank you! I will not watch this video but i WILL interact with it: you very clearly state in the title that you are going to reveal information I do not wish to know so I can decide for myself, instead of springing it on me just as I'm getting interested in what you have to say about building outposts. I find fun in finding these things myself. Thanks for warning me ahead of time. ...and here's a free like for the favor
Yepp, after Bessel III-b and that one on Andraphon I created my new main outpost in exact this shown spot. Here you have all you need and can import Aluminum & Iron with a Cargo Link. 😎🤟 But be aware: there is a slight chance of Spacers "visiting" you - this happened to me the first day after construction and totally caught me off guard... 😁😜
Nice informative guide. So far I got till seven maybe I should just settle for that. I got 4 landmarks very close, so I just landed on one and put a beacon right under my Ship then deleted it, fast traveled to my ship and took off, the next scan that landingpost was gone. Bit of a hassle because you have to do this for every landingspot but at least I got rid of them.
I set up a buch of outposts in this system because it seems to have the most resources. I'll have to look into this spot though for sure because I think 4 resources is the most I've gotten yet.
I got the 8 showing up but the Lead is no where to be found after I create the Outpost. Worse, the Iron extractor can't find any Iron once the base is established either. It's only six elements actually even though eight showed up in the Outpost scanner 😭
It would appear either the game just can’t handle giving all 8 or it’s currently bugged and it refuses to give you all 8 extractors. I’m gonna guess it’s a bug and will be fixed soon 🥺
Man this is a real dozy of a outpost location, congrats in finding man. Another four much more easy to find outposts built (maybe even in that same system), and you could seriously mod any and every weapon you find. You could also mass produce alien liquor on that world which weighs less and sells more than manufactured goods does.
The first planet you land on in Andreja's companion quest.... I guess its Hyla III is also a georgus spot.... Buit one there today, man i love this game so much❤
What makes me crazy is, when you want to build an extractor for any item, you need certain materials to build that extractor and if you do not have those materials you are not building that extractor. Which makes the whole process very time consuming to find all of those differant materials .
It is a pretty tedious process. Hence why I use outpost for homes rather than resources. I’d rather go buy some when I need it or go get it on a planet. More immersive and more engaging then seeing 700 iron in my extractor after sleeping for 24 hours. :)
Depending on scanner level it might make the map in the Starmap look different. But there is some good surrounding areas to help find the right spot :) If the area look different when you’re landing, that would mean you didn’t land precisely enough I hope this helps 🥺
Found the spot, but for me the entire area and surrounding is POI blocked. After looking around most of the planet it seems the entire planet is POI blocked for me as well. Maybe bugged for me or changes in this weeks patch borked it. 🤷♂️
This was a bit ago so I could be mistaking (someone else correct me if I’m wrong) but I don’t think this plannet requires any Planetary Habilitation to settle here :)
I have tried for 2 whole days to do this but can never find the location!!??, I have given up now!, maybe the Xbox series X makes it harder than a PC cus of pixilation on the planet map?, plus how do you get rid of the old marker to have a fresh try again??, very frustrating!!
Dang… this was actually recorded on a Xbox Series X 🙂 To get rid of old markers there are 2 main ways. One is by saving before you ever land… and then after you land and if it isn’t a good spot you can load that save and try again… Two is you have to load into 3 new spots on the same planet. Since you can only have 3 landing sites on a single planet… your fourth landing site will delete your first one and so on. A possible third option (don’t know if this works, someone mentioned it but I’ve never tried it) if you place a outpost as close to your ship as possible when you land and then delete the outpost and fly away… it should remove the landing site. Yet again I can’t verify this third option… but I know the first two work! The location can get very difficult to find. When this video was made I didn’t know about scanning level and how it changes the look of the planet map. So if it doesn’t look the exact same then you will need to upgrade your scanning skill and then return… I wish I could be more helpful but with the video being older I can’t remember everything anymore. I wish you more luck! I believe you’ll get it very soon! 😊. I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help… 😔
I got very lucky and nailed it the first try. I can only get 7 of the 8 resources to show up at the same time. My choice seems to be iron or dysprosium. I am thinking IRON because I've never seen dy before. Suggestions?
Many are having the same issue only usually with lead and iron… I think you’re lucky tbh 😅. Iron and Lead (imo) are much more useful then dy! Definitely would say keep the base and go with iron and lead! 😃 Iron and lead… you can’t go wrong with that! 😊
@PharaohRising I just started NG+4 and went straight there. I staked out my claim. On the way to Jaimison I picked up enough junk to sell to get my starter resources, a small Ecliptic ship and a Gal Tech hauler. This is going to be my best run so far, I think.
Oh my words that took some finding, my scan skill is max so map graphics didn't match mine...it does exist! Noticed that I have a lot of structures around me. The key was the two hills.
Glad you enjoy it! It seems 7 is the main number, tho someone did say they managed to get all 8! So I guess it is possible but you have to be almost perfect with your placement! But hey… 7 is definitely just as good! 😃
It's worth mentioning that you can't see all 8 resources unless you have Scanning Lvl 2. I was only seeing 6 until I left and upgraded my scanning skill. Even once I was able to make the outpost with 8, I still could not find the Iron source, even though it had the extractor listed. Finding this was a complete pain for me because every time I tried it would be foggy or rain, and the mountains just could not be seen. After sleeping a while I was finally able to get it. 7 Resources is nothing to sneeze at, and I have iron in another settlement, so this one is great. Thanks!
I’m so glad it helps! It’s one heck of a location!!! 😃 When I made this video, I didn’t know about scanning changing the way the planet looks in resource mode on the Starmap… so that was an awakening when people were commenting that 😅😅😅 Truth be told, the fact that this video is still helping people a MONTH later means everything 👏🥹
The actual area with the 8 resources should be open for everyone… my thinking is you were slightly off on landing zone? Or something like that…? Not sure why only 3 would show up if you’re in the right area… 🫤
@@PharaohRising i have tried 4 landing zones and walked around everywhere looking. In future, can you show us the map (ground map) so we can match mountains a bit better, thanks
I have a similar issue. I'm on try ten to fifteen somewhere, lost count. Surface map could definitely help. (Or the game having a coordinate system for each planet.)
I do have a video that allows you to have Aluminum, Iron, and Helium… it’s a tad bit harder to get the right spot but if you can you can use the helium to transfer the aluminum and iron to this location if you want 😃👍 Just an idea! 🤗
I landed as close as I could to the marker in the video and as I checked the landscape for distinctive markers, 2 ships landed. A Crimson Fleet Ghost IV and an Asphalt CB(?). Later, as I was wandering around trying to find 8 minerals, a Wraith landed right in front of me. Bad news is ship-docks don't open for me since I hijacked a Starborn ship. Frustrating.
This is funny....love this Video's Title...real baity and click title...LOL 3:31...WOW ...this is the first gamer video , that shows a planet , that has *8 RESOURCEs* _🔆🥇🏆 🎈 💥 🎊🎉 Amazing Discovery !!_ 4:11...I get _game fatigue_ from doing the assignments in the game....and chasing the money...I need to find another way to make money, without struggling through the game missions...
So there is a 2 easy ways… #1: If you have a Save, Quicksave, or Auto Save just before landing, just use that to go to a time before landing 😊 #2: I believe you can only have 3 landing spots on a celestial body at a time. So if you need to clear that spot on the map, go ahead and land at 3 other locations. Then that one should delete allowing to try again! ☺️ One of these should definitely work! If you need more help let me know and I’ll try and see what I can do to help! 😁
there’s a way where you land but don’t like the spot or don’t like it you can build an outpost next to your ship, delete it, then hop in your cockpit and leave the planet if i remember correctly
I was able to get 6 recourses and made a outpost there, spend 30 minutes setting up, went to scan some stuff up the hill in the out post then i thought no chill Sarah was shooting the blue crabs....ended up 8 pirates running around.......I took them out.
It would appear the game doesn’t like this spot 😂 Others are saying the same thing, but… you can still get all 8 resources! You might have to mess around with placing it but overall you should be able to eventually get all 8… 😬
maybe we should collab. I can't find your DM's on your YT page. But I have starfield spreadsheets that I made. For instance, I can easily see every planet and moon and what resources are on each one. I have a YT channel but I'm not really interested in making Starfield videos. Maybe I can help you find the best planets and you can make the videos.
In the Star map it could be due to different levels of scanning (that changes the look of planets). I didn’t know that until after this video and I was at tier 3 I believe when this was made. That being said you can land into the same area, if you can find the same spot by using context clues you can land at the same place as long as you are near accurate enough to the spot I placed it at :) I know this doesn’t help 100% and for that I’m sorry. But I do hope this comment helps in any way possible…!
I read that the landing markers would start auto deleting on your 6th drop in the same area ( the 1st one will poof, then 2nd on up to your patience limit )
@TheWizardKs they will. But if you set an outpost, an outpost marker can’t delete unless you delete your whole camp. So as long as you place an outpost, that spot is saved forever! :)
Heh, the only reason for an outpost is to build your ship and have a place for unnamed crew members when you acquire smaller ships. Before you get that smaller ship be sure to send your unnamed crew members to your outpost, this way you won't loose them and when you get you main ship back you can reassign them.
You can always assign them to your ship when landed, wherever they are, and they'll just magically appear on the ship next time you take-off/land somewhere.
now, they just need an effective way to sell mass dumps of stacks of resources waiting for shops to respawn their cash sucks this is what ultimately made me realise outposts are basically useless unless you want to cheese level up by making thousands of adaptive frames
You don't show us what organic resources can be made there. But.... I've been working on a spreadsheet that shows every planet and moon, and what resources they have. Also another spreadsheet that shows the uses of each one. The location in this video has 13 resources if you include the organic ones from my 1st spreadsheet. But when I look at my 2nd spreadsheet, it only has 7 resources that I'd want to use extractors/greenhouse/husbandry for, and just go buy the rest from vendors because of how you don't need them much in the game. Observe the below. aid, mods, and manufactured resources are what you want to be able to make with the resources you find. Food and drink is mostly useless. For research stuff you only need those resources once. Tantalum: 6 mods, 2 research, 1 manufactured resource Dysprosium: 1 manufactured resource Tungsten: 30 mods, 13 research, 1 manufactured resource Iron: 13 mods, 4 research, 2 manufactured resources Titanium: 27 mods, 14 research, 0 manufactured resources Alkanes: 1 food and drink, 1 mod, 1 research, 1 manufactured resource Water: 1 food and drink, 3 research, 30 manufactured resources Lead: 25 mods, 5 research, 0 manufactured resources Antimicrobial: 1 aid, 2 research, 0 manufactured resources Fiber: 1 aid, 3 food and drink, 2 mods, 7 research, 31 manufactured resources Metabolic Agent: 7 aid, 1 food and drinks, 5 research, 0 manufactured resources Pigment: 1 research, 0 manufactured resources Sealant: 2 Aid, 43 mods, 12 research, 0 manufactured resources Summary: What we need is a planet/moon with an outpost location that has 8 resources in one spot, and each resource is an ingredient for crafting manufactured resources + also aid and mods if you can, and THAT is how you will save MOST of the frustration in the game.
I found the spot where tge outpost marker signed the 8 recourses BUT when I installed the extractors one by one, I could just find 4 of them. Wasted my time
There should definitely not be 4. I would say delete the outpost and try placing a new one. Just move it a bit. I don’t remember one comment saying they only had 4… it could just be a glitch potentially!!! I hope this helps fix it. If it doesn’t, I’m sorry then. Not sure why you’d only be getting 4… 🥺
@@PharaohRising so I could install 7 extractors now but lead extractor is missing from my extractor list. But with my hand scanner I found a big big lead vein inside my outpost circle. But no extractor on the list. What to do now? Would be really awesome to have all the 8 resources. Any idea?
@sassa77 Not gonna lie, it does appear that this spot mainly gives you only 7. Something I didn’t realize when I made this video… even though it says 8 when you’re planting the outpost… (grrrrr Bethesda 😅) I have been told that you can get all 8 if you keep messing with it and get it like absolutely perfect. It hurts me to say, but 7 is prob the max you’ll be able to get unless you keep trying and find that like 1 in a million spot that’ll allow all 8 extractors… Though it does seem Lead and Iron are the 2 the bug out. So out of the two since Lead is the one that bugged out for you I’d take that personally… solely because iron has many more uses then lead… Hope this kinda explains things a bit and helps 👏🥹
Unfortunately I found the UI for the outpost builder so tedious and horrible I gave up Spent an hour trying to remove one wire.. why oh why can't I place objects with my mouse? Who designed the UI for the PC , A sociopath?
I dont understand the manufacturing meta. I make millions just selling weapons i pickup. And all i need is 1 mil for my ship. The rest of the money is useless.
Uuuummmm.....if they're not the pre-designed locations (bases, cities, etc) already made for the planet, and if you're landing in an unmarked location....aren't those made using some kind of Procedural Generated Asset method? Effectively, randomly generated game assets? Wouldn't that make all the advice you just gave (at least for land markers) pretty much useless?
Nope, every area is technically already generated. The only things that are different and random are random preset locations (like outpost, labs, natural areas, etc.) While you might have to make sure your landing area is extremely close to mine you can still land at the right spot with the same results! 😃😃😃
@@PharaohRising Oh wow! this changes my view of the game. The idea of using Procedurally Generated Assets (PGA) impressed me enough, but the idea that they'd do that...for entire planets!....impresses me even more!
This never works. Todd needs to take remedial classes on what is an x-y coordinate showing on a map. Or pay NMS devs to do it for him. Takes to many hours to find the mystery pixel to land on as advertised.
Just remember to save the game before landing. If the "aim" is just slightly off, you will not be able to land at the correct spot without reloading the game. The "Landing Zone" marker will be in the way on the planet map.

What's your planet scan ranked to, if at all cause depending on that, these moon resource scan maps can look different
I think I have tier 3 or 4. The surrounding should still be pretty recognizable hopefully allowing for a fairly well depiction on where to place it 🤞😬
@@PharaohRising As the landing has to be pixel perfect, it is very difficult to land in the exact same spot when you have different skill levels in scanning :(
I didn’t know they were different till someone else told me 😭
@@PharaohRising No need to cry because of this :D
I really enjoy your content, Pharaoh. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! 👏🥹
Yepp, after Bessel III-b and that one on Andraphon I created my new main outpost in exact this shown spot. Here you have all you need and can import Aluminum & Iron with a Cargo Link. 😎🤟
But be aware: there is a slight chance of Spacers "visiting" you - this happened to me the first day after construction and totally caught me off guard...
Yeah! Landmarks are a whole hassle!
Glad I could help!!! Enjoy the resources and beautiful landscape!
Only thing it is missing is aluminum. Nice find.
Niiiiiiice. Found it on my second landing. Good vid . Thanks.
Been looking for a good planet to build an outpost. Going to check this one out!
I find the more resources you have access to the less room you have to put things like a landing pad. I'm actually good with 3 or 4.
Outposts have never really interested me but i may have to give it a try. This planet looks really pretty
Also possible in the Zeta Ophiuchi system.
Is there a plant you can harvest fiber from?
Excellent location, thank you 👍👍👍
Found it! Great video!
It seems to me that the ore distributions are much different for me. Does it depend on anything?
It shouldn’t, if you’re in the 100% right spot it should be correct! :)
Linked with a few other choice locales and this a must have.
Honestly tho… 👀
Might have to do something about combining a couple of outpost together… 😏
Man this is a real dozy of a outpost location, congrats in finding man. Another four much more easy to find outposts built (maybe even in that same system), and you could seriously mod any and every weapon you find. You could also mass produce alien liquor on that world which weighs less and sells more than manufactured goods does.
It’s one heck of a place!!! Everyone needs this one!!! Glad I can help ☺️
The first planet you land on in Andreja's companion quest.... I guess its Hyla III is also a georgus spot.... Buit one there today, man i love this game so much❤
I just visited that planet for my 2nd time this morning! I love that planet so much!!! 🥹
Video with max number of outpost built?? Anytime soon?
Got to agree, well, I got an outpost for that specific moon for titanium, tungsten and lead. Wanted to sit next to a pond..
I am there now,and I haven't been able to find anything that looks like what you are showing. All I come up with is iron, lead, and water.
Depending on scanner level it might make the map in the Starmap look different. But there is some good surrounding areas to help find the right spot :)
If the area look different when you’re landing, that would mean you didn’t land precisely enough
I hope this helps 🥺
Found the spot, but for me the entire area and surrounding is POI blocked. After looking around most of the planet it seems the entire planet is POI blocked for me as well. Maybe bugged for me or changes in this weeks patch borked it. 🤷♂️
It’s Vol 2… II is Roman numerals for 2.👍
What lvl of skills do you need beforehand to set up your outpost?
This was a bit ago so I could be mistaking (someone else correct me if I’m wrong) but I don’t think this plannet requires any Planetary Habilitation to settle here :)
I have tried for 2 whole days to do this but can never find the location!!??, I have given up now!, maybe the Xbox series X makes it harder than a PC cus of pixilation on the planet map?, plus how do you get rid of the old marker to have a fresh try again??, very frustrating!!
Dang… this was actually recorded on a Xbox Series X 🙂
To get rid of old markers there are 2 main ways.
So if it doesn’t look the exact same then you will need to upgrade your scanning skill and then return…
I wish I could be more helpful but with the video being older I can’t remember everything anymore. I wish you more luck! I believe you’ll get it very soon! 😊.
I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help… 😔
Good vid. I'll add it to my list.
Iron and lead… you can’t go wrong with that! 😊
@PharaohRising I just started NG+4 and went straight there. I staked out my claim. On the way to Jaimison I picked up enough junk to sell to get my starter resources, a small Ecliptic ship and a Gal Tech hauler. This is going to be my best run so far, I think.
It’s gonna be fun!!! 😃
Oh my words that took some finding, my scan skill is max so map graphics didn't match mine...it does exist! Noticed that I have a lot of structures around me. The key was the two hills.
I’m so glad you found it!!! I hope it helps you tremendously and I hope you love the location! 👏🥹
Don't know if it's a glitch or they nerfed the planet but i cant seen to place a greenhouse.
Yeah, i think it's 7 like the other guy are saying. i was able to get 8 to show up, but couldn't find iron. still an awesome find.
Glad you enjoy it! It seems 7 is the main number, tho someone did say they managed to get all 8! So I guess it is possible but you have to be almost perfect with your placement! But hey… 7 is definitely just as good! 😃
Very nice. Thank you.
Good one!
When I made this video, I didn’t know about scanning changing the way the planet looks in resource mode on the Starmap… so that was an awakening when people were commenting that 😅😅😅
Truth be told, the fact that this video is still helping people a MONTH later means everything 👏🥹
Nice! Thank you, sir!
Anytime 😊
It’s lead for me not titanium?
tride this location last night. map is similar with 8 total resources but could never get more than 3.
No aluminum, no go. Sad because I'm looking for something like this.
I do have a video that allows you to have Aluminum, Iron, and Helium… it’s a tad bit harder to get the right spot but if you can you can use the helium to transfer the aluminum and iron to this location if you want 😃👍
Just an idea! 🤗
@@PharaohRising ty
I landed as close as I could to the marker in the video and as I checked the landscape for distinctive markers, 2 ships landed. A Crimson Fleet Ghost IV and an Asphalt CB(?). Later, as I was wandering around trying to find 8 minerals, a Wraith landed right in front of me. Bad news is ship-docks don't open for me since I hijacked a Starborn ship. Frustrating.
There is a chance you get a different planet seed. You have to save before you enter the system unfortunately.
The devs screwed the whole outpost idea when they didn't include workable commerce mechanics and by half as_ing the outpost mechanics themselves.
This is funny....love this Video's Title...real baity and click title...LOL
3:31...WOW ...this is the first gamer video , that shows a planet , that has *8 RESOURCEs*

4:11...I get _game fatigue_ from doing the assignments in the game....and chasing the money...I need to find another way to make money, without struggling through the game missions...
😮wow!
I didn’t do it right.. how do I remove the landing site? It won’t let me
So there is a 2 easy ways…
#1: If you have a Save, Quicksave, or Auto Save just before landing, just use that to go to a time before landing 😊
#2: I believe you can only have 3 landing spots on a celestial body at a time. So if you need to clear that spot on the map, go ahead and land at 3 other locations. Then that one should delete allowing to try again! ☺️
One of these should definitely work! If you need more help let me know and I’ll try and see what I can do to help! 😁
there’s a way where you land but don’t like the spot or don’t like it you can build an outpost next to your ship, delete it, then hop in your cockpit and leave the planet if i remember correctly
@@dontrefresh7996 this is the method I use
I found this informative; more importantly, just a few of the aliens drop ingredients to make Amp.
I was able to get 6 recourses and made a outpost there, spend 30 minutes setting up, went to scan some stuff up the hill in the out post then i thought no chill Sarah was shooting the blue crabs....ended up 8 pirates running around.......I took them out.
For once Sarah was doing something right 😅
No iron after placing. Shows it is there but no area shows up.
It would appear the game doesn’t like this spot 😂
Others are saying the same thing, but… you can still get all 8 resources! You might have to mess around with placing it but overall you should be able to eventually get all 8… 😬
Same here. I can build iron extractor but I can't find iron deposit. Other 7 resources are ok 😢
maybe we should collab.
The maps are randomly done, mine did not look anything like yours
In the Star map it could be due to different levels of scanning (that changes the look of planets). I didn’t know that until after this video and I was at tier 3 I believe when this was made.
That being said you can land into the same area, if you can find the same spot by using context clues you can land at the same place as long as you are near accurate enough to the spot I placed it at :)
I know this doesn’t help 100% and for that I’m sorry.
Trends many times to get that biome to load last night with no luck
Heh, the only reason for an outpost is to build your ship and have a place for unnamed crew members when you acquire smaller ships. Before you get that smaller ship be sure to send your unnamed crew members to your outpost, this way you won't loose them and when you get you main ship back you can reassign them.
You can always assign them to your ship when landed, wherever they are, and they'll just magically appear on the ship next time you take-off/land somewhere.
took way to long to find and Iron is no available to be axtracted.
now, they just need an effective way to sell mass dumps of stacks of resources
waiting for shops to respawn their cash sucks
this is what ultimately made me realise outposts are basically useless unless you want to cheese level up by making thousands of adaptive frames
I've attempted 4 reloads and can't find more than 5 resources and zero animals till attempt 4
Like it's been almost 3 hours of searching brah
Tantalum: 6 mods, 2 research, 1 manufactured resource
Dysprosium: 1 manufactured resource
Tungsten: 30 mods, 13 research, 1 manufactured resource
Iron: 13 mods, 4 research, 2 manufactured resources
Titanium: 27 mods, 14 research, 0 manufactured resources
Alkanes: 1 food and drink, 1 mod, 1 research, 1 manufactured resource
Water: 1 food and drink, 3 research, 30 manufactured resources
Lead: 25 mods, 5 research, 0 manufactured resources
Antimicrobial: 1 aid, 2 research, 0 manufactured resources
Fiber: 1 aid, 3 food and drink, 2 mods, 7 research, 31 manufactured resources
Metabolic Agent: 7 aid, 1 food and drinks, 5 research, 0 manufactured resources
Pigment: 1 research, 0 manufactured resources
Sealant: 2 Aid, 43 mods, 12 research, 0 manufactured resources
Summary:
What we need is a planet/moon with an outpost location that has 8 resources in one spot, and each resource is an ingredient for crafting manufactured resources + also aid and mods if you can, and THAT is how you will save MOST of the frustration in the game.
has this been nerfed?
To my knowledge, nope! Still works 100%!!!
i can't find it no matter how hard i try
I found the spot where tge outpost marker signed the 8 recourses BUT when I installed the extractors one by one, I could just find 4 of them. Wasted my time
There should definitely not be 4. I would say delete the outpost and try placing a new one. Just move it a bit. I don’t remember one comment saying they only had 4… it could just be a glitch potentially!!!
I hope this helps fix it. If it doesn’t, I’m sorry then. Not sure why you’d only be getting 4… 🥺
Ok. Im not going to give up. Thanks for the instruction
No problem! Let me know if it works :)
Something I didn’t realize when I made this video… even though it says 8 when you’re planting the outpost… (grrrrr Bethesda 😅)
I have been told that you can get all 8 if you keep messing with it and get it like absolutely perfect.
It hurts me to say, but 7 is prob the max you’ll be able to get unless you keep trying and find that like 1 in a million spot that’ll allow all 8 extractors…
Though it does seem Lead and Iron are the 2 the bug out. So out of the two since Lead is the one that bugged out for you I’d take that personally… solely because iron has many more uses then lead…
Hope this kinda explains things a bit and helps 👏🥹
You know that each planet is procedurally generated, meaning no two players will see the same features.
Actually you can. If you land almost precisely to where I am you will actually land in the exact spot. It’s been done and tested before ✅😊
Except no aluminum.
Sigh - guess i need another level of scan before this will work - found nothing that looked like that area to land on
lol. You had 8 before you planted the outpost. After it only shows 7 . Very very very difficult to get all 8. After 50 tries, I gave up.
I mean 7 is just as good! 😁
Sadly I didn’t even realize that happened until someone pointed it out to me after the video released 🙃

It is looking too easy now, unless theymakea dumb move, it looks hardly a chance of a death.
I dont understand the manufacturing meta. I make millions just selling weapons i pickup. And all i need is 1 mil for my ship. The rest of the money is useless.
I hate to break it to you but playing games in general is useless.
The only things that are different and random are random preset locations (like outpost, labs, natural areas, etc.)
While you might have to make sure your landing area is extremely close to mine you can still land at the right spot with the same results! 😃😃😃
@@PharaohRising Oh wow! this changes my view of the game. The idea of using Procedurally Generated Assets (PGA) impressed me enough, but the idea that they'd do that...for entire planets!....impresses me even more!
You know, I've been through 20 universes and over 200 levels and I've never needed an outpost of any kind.
So, why do this?
Why did you go through 20 universes? Why does anyone play these pointless games.

@@tjo7248 you missed the point.
This never works. Todd needs to take remedial classes on what is an x-y coordinate showing on a map. Or pay NMS devs to do it for him. Takes to many hours to find the mystery pixel to land on as advertised.
