@@Vinemaple Because JFK simply is just to big to get it all handled by just 1 person. Ramp deals with all issues of parking a plane, including assigning a gate where passengers may leave and enter the plane. At JFK you can't expect ground to monitor all parking stands and know by heart which plane is supposed to go at which gate. I find it weird that there is no direct coordination between ramp and ground at JFK. The pilots are filling that role. He asks pilots which way they need for ramp entry, which is something assigned to them by ramp control, so why doesn't that information just show up on the ground controller's screen. It's almost like the pilots are the controllers and the controllers are the ones being coordinated.

Because JFK simply is just to big to get it all handled by just 1 person. Ramp deals with all issues of parking a plane, including assigning a gate where passengers may leave and enter the plane. Can't find this on Google to save my life, but this isn't the first time I've heard Steve refer to an American flight as "American ### in disguise." I surmised from last time that they're in a plane liveried for a different airline, but why?
After the blocked with DT2 and AUA88, Steve got pissed xD You can hear his tone change
awesome stuff, as usual. just dont stay out there!!! pmlol. quality mate.
+Aaron Oxford Thank you, as usual. :)
I only wish there was a way to know the places they use.
Pilots are "Piggy in the Middle" lol
It’s such a dumb system.
The way he mocks the accent of delta tug 2 is a little out of pocket but man it cracked me up
Wondering as a newbie avigeek at 71 yr old, what on earth Kennedy Steve refers to as a Dinosaur Head please.would it be a 747? Lol xx
How does he get away with making fun of accents so much? hahahah
Oh and notice Steve didnt respond to the Japanese comment, even he wont go there.
He had enough problems with the middle eastern companies bitching about the way he talks to them. Pissing off another area of the world is the last thing he needed.
Well ANA is "all Nippon airways" which is the Japanese flag carrier and they where the problem.
Brilliant.
