Capt here for a Major US Airline. This was well done. I've had many years in and out of New York Airspace. Steve always made the "The Dread of the Northeast" an "adventure" in the career.
I don't blame the guy. Having to deal with a 10+ hour flight, multiple stops and the knuckleheads that make up current American general aviation would fry anyone's brain. And this is coming from an American aviation-lover.
As a former airport worker, I had my own share of funny ATC/Ground Control conversations... Some of them where so freaking hilarious I had to stop the tug sometimes because of laughing 🤣 I'll never forget the night a Ryanair B737 stopped at the wrong gate, the ATC officer that time was REALLY pissed and was very eloquent as well...😂 I never heard a chained insult longer than he shouted that night.

The dispatcher almost threw her headset to him... Let's say she was quite pissed off 😂

It just broke the hook that secures the GPU plug to the aircraft and not the plug itself... But the dispatcher got hit in the ankle and started insulting him... I was close to that parking, she yelled at the radio how happy he made her so loud I could hear that both in radio and live 😂 Dude didn't got fired... That day, but sometime later was caught drinking a beer and was sacked.

Here's the best line I ever heard; KPHL ground control, airliners littered all over the taxiway's & nothing is moving. The tower is located right next to the Delaware River & very close to where tanker ships are unloaded. A bored pilot looking at the huge tanker on the river say's to Philly ground, "That sure is a big tanker right behind you". Philly ground's reply, "Yeah..& if it were to go off, our tower cab would be like a golf ball on a tee". Philly controllers were some of the best I ever had the pleasure of working with.

I've listened to John, he is a good ATC controller I have no doubt. But I find Kennedy Steve way more entertaining to listen to. The North American airline pilots appreciate, think the British did too though they probably won't admit it. On the other hand some of the European and Asian airlines I don't think quite knew what to make of him at times.

Thank you for making this video. The animations are hilarious and fit perfectly. I just found out who Kennedy Steve is about a week ago and I've binge watched about 150 ATC clips. The guy is a legend in the aviation world, also suggest looking up Boston John. We should all inspire to be like Steve. Cool calm professionalism with massive amounts of sarcasm and whit.
