Just made this!! Tastes just like it! I added onion powder and garlic salt though 😂 I got a late night craving for Waffle House hash browns and I don’t have a car so thank you for helping me out! 💕
I’ve tried this technique Along with the traditional Waffle House Smothered, covered, and topped (cheese, onions, and chilli). It is so good! Great work Justin! 👏🏾
@@justgaston no they didnt stick, they just wouldn't stay together even after drying them completely. But i ended up shredding a potato and turning the heat down a little and it turned out much better! Thank you so much for your help ☺
@@justgaston don’t tell my doctor but towards the end of the cook, I also at a couple of thin slices of butter to the top and it melts down through. Just have to turn the heat down a tiny bit to not burn the butter. 😂
Starch rich potatoes usually turn soft and crumbly, while frying or baking! So if you want to make sure your fries or hashbrowns are crispy take that Starch out !!
I needed to add more potatoes … but you got me with the pancake 😂…. However pancakes are fluffy too 👀 … thank you for the feedback tho imma work on it 😤

@Mingo shits going south when a waffle house is closed
You doing the lord’s work. Thank you!
I'm 13 and I made this and it's so good! Tysm ❤
No need to show i am also 12 😊
This has to be the best demonstration I've come across on TH-cam for the diner type of crispy hashbrowns that I've seen thus far. 😊
Just stumbled onto your channel - lots of great content! Thanks for sharing
Wow thank you so much !
This guy is a life saver
Keep up the energy
This looks easy and delicious,
thanks for sharing!
They won't be so soggy in the inside if you put them in ice water for an hour. The completely dry, boil, then fry. So good 😊
ooooo I'm going to have to try that !!
So how long do you boil them? I'm guessing only 2 minutes or so but I thought I'd ask since you know how.
Well I think you can just instead add flour and eggs
Just earned a new sub brother THANK YOU🙏🙏🙏
SUBSCRIBED! Just made this! Simple & easy! Thank you
You do got me! Thank you.
These look great. When I ask for crispy, I mean crispy!

You should be a hand model, you have beautiful hands
Love your energy ❤

You a real one
I must have watched this video 5 times ... wish me luck!!
You got this keep me posted 😊
favorite video on making hash browns thus far.. ill let u know if this was my missing link!! but i love your personality either way ☺
i think im going wrong trying to use precut potatoes
@@Angelofloveandhappiness pre-cup potatoes are going to hold a lot more moisture so it’s going to be harder to dry out … did they stick super bad ?
@@justgaston no they didnt stick, they just wouldn't stay together even after drying them completely. But i ended up shredding a potato and turning the heat down a little and it turned out much better! Thank you so much for your help ☺
@@justgaston do u ever use pre-cut? Do they work for u if u dry them good?
I just made it 😆 i added salt and sazon it looks so good thank you and it taste so good
I’m so glad !
You the f*cking goat for this I just made a patty melt I said I need to learn how to make the Waffle House hash brown now lol
He forgot to tell us what tempature the pan should be in just gonna wing it thank you for the video great job
Ooo yeah I’m going to have to remake this… but I believe I had it at a medium heat !
You Did THAT
Easier than i thought
How do you scatter, smother and cover them?! I love them with the onions and cheese!
That’s how I like mine. 💜
ex waffle house cook here, hash brown is scattered, smother is onion and covered is cheese.
@kcirerick6194😂well…I was wondering if he might grill the onions first or just added the onions crunchy. Don’t have to be rude here 😊 I’m not an idiot
This might be crazy, but I started grating some onion and mixing it in with the hash brown. It definitely adds a little extra flavor!
Not crazy at all that sounds amazing
@@justgaston don’t tell my doctor but towards the end of the cook, I also at a couple of thin slices of butter to the top and it melts down through. Just have to turn the heat down a tiny bit to not burn the butter. 😂
Thanks for the recipe I tried it for brekedast and is was bussin 😮😮😅😅😊😊❤❤
yessss finally i love me some good hash browns
You are amazing . Thank You!!! 🙏
Thank you for this
What’s heat do you use
Medium to medium high
Looking riiiighteous!
Thank you !!
What is the reason why we have to remove the starch? Just curious!

BAAAAM THANK YOU SIR!!!
Yum!
Thanks Gaston!
It’s my guy!
I need to try this dude 🤘
Please let me know if you do !!
@@justgaston will do 👍
I made them they were very 👍
Yass
After making this i suddenly got the urge to throw a chair at someone in a waffle house
Well well well
Homeboy just tried to strain water lmao
@@brianlong9039 I did I did … you don’t strain your water? 😂
So no salt, pepper, or anything else? Just oil and butter. Salt and Pepper after cooked?
That’s what I did for this video but you get it 100% add any spices you wanted!! I made some with a little red pepper for a kick the other day
Imagine putting this inside a burger omfg
Basically took this entire video and renamed it
Am buta kuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuum
The eggs lowley throw you off even tho he doesn't say to use any
If I fuck up imma let u know I'm trying this shit is more complicated
But Waffle House hash browns are fluffy and pull apart loosely with a fork and are crispy inside too. You just made a potato pancake.
I needed to add more potatoes … but you got me with the pancake 😂…. However pancakes are fluffy too 👀 …
thank you for the feedback tho imma work on it 😤
Not the same without some drunk dude yelling every 10 minutes for his food....
I’m going to have to agree
The waffle house has found its new host
Where do I sign 👀
Accidentally dumped all my salt on it still ate it tho 🤷
Call me racist, but black cooks/chefs are the best. Every kitchen needs at least one, adds that soul and positive atmosphere.
Video from 7yrs ago so familiar 😭🤣
So they’re probably good hashbrowns but Waffle House uses dehydrated grated potato’s. Unless you use these they will not end up remotely the same.
You got me
@@justgaston that being said, following your instructions I got a damn good breakfast side. Thanks for the vid my dude
@PoopyButthole thank you so much !! That’s all I want !!
Keep up the energy
I got you
