Come on, he is barely OP due to his AI. His path finding breaks if there is anything breaking his line of sight, even a sheargrub corpse, then he forgets and wanders around the arena again. You wait for him to turn around, spam throw, and he gets stuck in a loop of his getting up animation. It sounds like a big you problem if you even see the Biden Blast after you get used to the boss fight.
I feel the issue with the Piliated snagret is that it’s one of the few enemies that Purples can’t exactly cheese, so you have to actually fight it, leading to the stigma against it. Hell it’s probably why people dislike the man at legs since the one in the hole of heroes more or less requires you to use blues.
The Beady Long Legs from the first game can be pretty brutal, with its 5000 hp and fast movements. The Baldy Long Legs from Pikmin 3, surprisingly enough, i found to be pretty challenging. Especially if you don't have any wing or rock pikmin with you, or if you fight him in an awkward area (Tropical Forest, cough cough). Clips of him crushing dozens of Pikmin at once is definitely not uncommon.
Pikmin 3's Hairy Long Legs has something fucky going on. Every time I replay 3, I have a hard time with it, especially the one in the Distant Tundra. I've tried what speedrunners do with Winged Pikmin, but it always takes zero damage and immediately shakes them off as soon as they touch it.
The Pikmin 3 arachnorbs have a very interesting AI that purposefully aims the feet closest to the player to stomp directly at them, so the key is to throw Pikmin at a distance from the feet and whistle them as soon as possible when shaking off.
arachnorb bosses always feel mildly like a game of luck as its first few stomps can catch you hella off guard and kill half your squad. Not to mention it can kill a bunch of them just by showing up
I think the pikmin 1 snagret could've been added as well, you're basically guaranteed to lose pikmin and if you're playing for the first time you might end up fighting all three snagrets which would most likely result in a lot of casualties
So many dead… ive never not had a fear of the snagret since… seeing their offspring hopping about gave me flashbacks and made me consider the concept of if they cried out like a Dwarf Bolborb from pikmin 1 and the mother just emerged from the ground… it’d be nightmare fule… Never happened, missed opertunity but the entire game was just easy mode… until last minute they uped the dificulty to 100 for the final cave with zero balence because, they alowed you to cheeze caves and expected you to. (Redo, green pikmin, or exit and re enter at any level you disire.) plainly bad game desighn… which is a shame because those fights could have been spread out to mid floors and end floors and made for some memorable caves…
Honestly I'd put 4 Water wraith down at strong and that's generous, 2 was hard because you didn't have oatchi and multiple ways to make sure your Pikmin are safe like the idler's whistle, heck there's even dedicated safe spots in 4 where the water wraith can't enter, not to mention better Pikmin AI in general
There's spots in Pikmin 2 that block the waterwraith though. It can differ depending on how the map generates, but they exist in Pikmin 2 as well as Pikmin 4.
@@Irreve-rsible Actually pretty much anywhere in the Submgered Castle is safe As long as you hug the walls and corners the wraith will (almost) never make contact with you or your Pikmin. Thing is though, Submerged Castle is done a lot better than Engulfed, and the Wraiths AI is more aggressive.

It's a different approach to difficulty. Pikmin 3's hardest struggles are puzzle bosses; figuring an enemy out is the hard part, the execution is consistently pretty easy. Meanwhile, the enemies in 4 can and do comprise a gameplay challenge of execution, especially if you choose not to engage with the depth of tools offered in the shop or upgrade Oatchi for combat.

Personally I think the Segmented Crawbster is a great 'late-game' boss fight. There is so much that this boss can do to you that it really does demand you pay attention. His speed is enough to actively outspeed Pikmin which not even the Waterwraith can match, its size means its not going to be easy to strafe out of the way and the rock attack means you have to carefully position yourself after you successfully knock him out, if you are greedy and try to get too much damage, he'll swipe and deflower your pikmin making further attacks harder to avoid. Contrast this to Raging Long Legs who is just _Fat Beady Long Legs who needs damn jellyfish in his arena to pose a threat..._
Pikmin 4 not only has a boatload of tools to make things easier for you, but it even lets you straight up cheat. Since you can just leave a cave whenever you want without any punishment, you can just leave and re-enter to reset the water wraith's timer. So you really don't even have to engage with the wraith, even if you're slow. They even let you run straight for the exit on every sublevel while ignoring all the enemies and treasure, beat the wraith on the final floor, and then when you enter the cave again, the wraith doesn't even spawn anymore. Ever. So you can just casually collect everything with no lurking danger. It's a joke. In general, the fact that you can just leave a cave at any time without losing ANY progress is baffling to me. Not even the nectar drops despawn when you leave! I get wanting to make things a bit less stressful, but at that point you might as well just let the onion come with you underground. If it's no longer an endurance test, not even a mild one, why even have a cave? It's like a vegan eating a fake hamburger. They don't actually wanna eat meat, but they still wanna feel like they are having the experience. That's what Pikmin 4 caves are like. For people who want to feel like they are beating a gauntlet of challenges, without actually taking the training wheels off. You feel like you accomplished something when you beat a cave in pikmin 4, but in reality you were never in any actual danger, so if you're honest with yourself, it feels like a hollow victory.

I don't know why so many people don't talk about this, but the Man-at-Legs got buffed *a lot* in Pikmin 4. For starters, its AI is far more advanced and plays a bit with how it shoots. The arenas now have destructible walls and it can get quite tricky to hide idle Pikmin, especially since the creature now shoots at a slightly higher angle. All of this would make for a challenging boss fight, if it wasn't for Oatchi's existence. In regards fo Hey! Pikmin, Fireflinger Groinks, and *Crumbugs especially* are hellspawns.
I feel like Pikmin 4 should have the ancient sirehound, especially the brutal final phase. It also has the some of the most health of any enemy in the series and is immune to most cheese methods.

Yeah, that fight took me over 15 minutes. Did I forget I could use glow pikmin? Yes. Did I get an extinction and have to do the fight all over again? Several times. It was especially hard for me because I am afraid of dogs and I felt like it could sense and was exploiting my fear.
Joe Biden was honestly the hardest boss in the series. The attack where he sniffs up your Pikmin is almost impossible to dodge, and don’t get me started in phase 2 when he calls in the Secret Service.
I know they are not overpowered by any means, but i remember that by the earliest days of Pikmin 3, the Peckish Aristocrab was considered a "hard" enemy solely because of: 1. He lives by the water 2. He dodges the charge

I had much trouble with Cavernous Wollyhops (the ones in Forrest Navel) in pikmin one, mainly because blue pikmin and because I was used to the pikmin 3 ones that are easy as hell

Pikmin 4 and Elden Ring share one similarity.. they have the most strong enemies in the franchise, but your character is also a lot stronger then previous entries. At least from what I personally seen or heard.
The Titan Dweevil can be made far easier if you go into the fight with just your yellows, hiding all your other Pikmin in the entrance hole, and attacking everything except the Shock Therapist.
I didn't even know people thought the Pileated Snagret was a hard boss fight. On the other hand I'd move the Man-At-Legs up a tier at least because it can kill purples very easily and the Quaggled Mireclops frustrates me so bad it would be in guaranteed misery for me.
I feel like spam is the only reason cannon beetles are that high, I'd lower them and groinks into "alright" and bring the Orange bulborb out of nowhere for alright as well. I think mireclops can be raised to strong as well, because it's feet are surprisingly finicky. I'd also argue that, P1 Sheargrubs are slightly OP, given the fact that they're treated like fodder enemies.
The Mireclops isn't hard at all you have winged Pikmin and spicy spray, just learn his ques and you're able to whistle the wings into flying so they can't get crushed with the bonus of being thrown instead becoming of planted unlike rock pikmin, so you can actually continue to whistle if they do get thrown into a pool of water and they'll instantly get out and go back to you. The fights in those games would last seconds if it wasn't for the invincibility frames.
The mireclops actually can crush winged and rock pikmin, which is dumb and annoying. If it weren't for that, then yeah, winged pikmin would invalidate him harder than any other boss in the game. IMO, it's feet are finicky enough that fighting it requires more strategy and precision than anything in the strong tier if you want a deathless run.
@@nyon7209Absolutely agree getting platinum deathless is so fucking tedious his feet are super tanky when using the blues it gives you and the moment the reds touch a body of water it cancels their charge and leaves them vulnerable to being crushed which sucks since sometimes he'll charge for like three cycles making the entire half of the map water.
The segmented crawbster in my opinion is one of the easiest bosses in pikmin 2 alongside the emperor bulblax. His boulders are incredibly easy to dodge and you can one shot the boss with less than 50 pikmin. Also there is essentially 0 chance of getting hit by him rolling into a ball unless you aren't using the c stick. Every other enemy on the list I agree is pretty bs tho. Great video
the empress bulblax for me is misery,why? cause she killed all of my pikmin when I was a kid and since I didn't understand extinction in the game I thought it meant they were gone forever and that made me pretty upset when I was a kid,I'm pretty sure I can beat her now that I know what to do,but back then,I would be crying my eyes out XD
Honestly if not for Pikmin 2's instant win options, Bitter Spray and Purple Pikmin, I would be inclined to move the Gatling Groink up a tier, and even then I'm tempted because those things have a lot going for them. While sure on their own they may.not be that bad and such, being a late game enemy those assholes are rarely ever alone, spawning with hoardes of other enemies, so your best hope id to judt try and lure it away and murder it on it's own then carry back it's corpse wuickly because guess what it also regenerates. Plus honestly the Gatling Groink's reputation I think helps it a gpod bit, while I'm not sure if it should count, I feel like hesring those footsteps makes you well aware of whst you will have to deal with and on the look for those things the entire time while they lurk, as if you're back in thr submerged castle or something. Plus the devs thought it would be hilarious to place some of them on sniper towers, so, wooo. Still though, lot of ups, but Pikmin 2's buffoonary could balance it and the rest out I'd say. Also the Segmented Crobster warrants it's spot, I'd say it's pretty.much the only enemy in the series that full on requires extensive use of spicy sprays in order to counter it, since otherwise your pikmin will get run over like Brian Griffin or something. Gotta be planned in advance for this one.
It is I, the jolly wolly. My big ol hop will make you sorry. I think the reason the wollywog feels overpowered is because he's just like. A dude. A frog. He doesn't feel like something that should be able to murder half your squad so quickly if you mess up. Big boss and miniboss enemies like the groink or any large bulborb feel like they should be a challenge, and are a triumph to beat. Cannon beetles have an intimidating gimmick that gives them the sense that they should be scary and approached carefully. But the wollywog? He's just a big frog lump. Doesn't even use a scary pikmin-eating tongue. He's just a regular guy until suddenly he crushes all your pikmin. Sometimes even does so if you're whistling, because if you mess up the timing your Pikmin (which are very dumb and sometimes trip/go the wrong way) might end up under him regardless. The white one at least looks a little menacing in the gloom of caves, but the yellow one looks about as threatening as a rubber ducky. That's why it feels overpowered when he then instantly crushes all your straggler pikmin that didn't run fast enough after a whistle.
I feel mat at legs had a simmilar deal as the emperor in 2. Easy in the first fight but more dangerous in later battles with less cover and a smaller platform. His throw distance isn't a none issue
Man at legs deserve to be higher, sure it can be dealt with a simple cover to hide from but the first time 8 year old me and my younger brother fought it in challenge mode we were not ready and didn't know what to do
The Sovereign Bulblax is so weak, if you feed it a bomb rock then charge with Oatchi with a moderately sized squad it goes down quick. Also feeding bombs to it are super easy, and the player and Pikmin are not at risk since the bait and switch mechanic.

I think the wraith in 4 probably only goes to strong. Oatchi just about makes it harmless to your followers, and its lower speed makes it easier to collect any stragglers. Not to mention, Oatchi's speed means it might not even get a chance to spawn at all. Really it just turns into a game of looking around sometimes and babysitting your Pikmin.
Something I don't see people talk about is that Purples do have a special effect on the Pileated Snagret. If you throw one on the ground while it's hopping it will stun it for a very short amount of time. I've used this mechanic to make the fight a bit less tedious.

Personally i dont think Biden deserved the 'Very Strong' spot. Sure his stomp attack can ruin your run if you're not careful, but his hitbox is so huge, you dont need to think about much else.
Oh brother, the number of enemies in the 2 that give me a headache outnumber the good things about the game. At least the doodlebug and Wollywog exists.
God, I remember accidentally triggering the Smoky Progg and not even realizing it. I was away from my base and suddenly noticed a fuckton of my Pikmin dying and I came back to...that thing stomping around killing all my planted Pikmin and it ended up wiping out ALL my Pikmin as I tried to figure out how to kill it And that was my only interaction with that fucker
Not to mention the Monster Pump being able to hit anywhere on the floor--even outside the arena. So if you only bring yellows to the main arena, you'll still have to account for the rest of your Pikmin who can still be hit.

Ya'll are so over dramatic about the titan dwevil he is as easy to cheese as the plasm and water wraith is; he never leaves the arena and his instant death attack has an obvious tell and wind up before he does anything. If you're having a hard time with the Monster Pump use the geyser room and you'll be able to whistle running Pikmin so they won't die, use the ramp in his areana for a height advantage when throwing purples so their homing attack locks onto the the shock therapist and now you have a worse plasm wraith.

To add emphasis to my first main point though: the physics on the electric jacks is absolutely nutty and I’ve had it happen where it manages to bounce outside of the little crater arena. I agree. The titan dwevil is definitely at least one higher tier of difficulty with his electric attack. Took kid me a lot of resets to be able to beat him, and I see the same with a lot of newcomers to the series as well.
this list is ok I do feel 4's water wraith should be a bit lower it bis nerfed by the fact that the engulfed castle is far to easy and easily cheesed. I must admit the plasma wraith and quagledmireclops though they are a lot more fun and have better mechanics I find them to be a lot easier than 2's Manat legs. Also I find that it is an insult to put Joe Biden in the very strong category he is by far the hardest enemy in the Pikmin franchise for no reason.

I just recently played Pikmin 1 again and witnessed that invulnerability head on. That was cheap af! For the Smoky Prog i had a different approach this time. Normally I threw Pikmin on it's forehead when it stayed near a onion. This time I gathered all the bombs in the area, wait until it stands still and does it's shockwave and throw bombmin at it to chip down it's healt way easier and safer.
Not sure why the armored cannon beatle isn't on this list. He is a NIGHTMARE for first time and casual players. If you don't know that you are supposed to clog his nostril, or if you don't know the timing, he's going to steamroll more than half of your Pikmin every time he spits a boulder at you. Not to mention he regenerates, which means if your not clogging his nostril almost every time, you might not be able to defeat him before you run out of Pikmin. And if you run back and grab more he's going to regenerate a third of his health at least.
I have had a bad experience with cannon larve that i recorded and put on my channel where the rock they shoot WENT OVER A WALL DIAGONALLY TO KILL my pikmin.
I don't get why people consider the 2nd and 3rd version of empress bowblax strong. Kill the spawns, toss pikmin on it's ass, they literally die on every spawn. It's incredibly easy
The bulborb larvae are the only ones I'd ever really call Overpowered. The rest are just strong enemies, which like, do people not want stronger enemies the further you get into a strategy game? And calling bosses overpowered? It's a boss, it's literally its job to be strong. At some point enemies stop being overpowered and it just begins to be an issue of skill.
Honestly I'll put Bulbear from 1 into alright. Since personally for me due to them sleeping, it gives you plenty of opportunities to swarm them with enough pikmin to do massive damage and even killing them or just bomb them to half Hp and finish them off as soon they re-snoozing. But I'm surprised you didn't include Beady from 1 with it's wonky movements and obinoux trend to shake off pikmin was sure annoying just to dealt with it WITHOUT any causalities. But I definitely have to disagree with putting 4's Wraith as it's entirely neutered comparably from 2 version not only does the cave have actual SAFE SPOTS from the Wraith but he's seems less actively trying to chasing down your squad or bit more tamed down AI compare to the original, plus it real doesn't help how few of Pikmin 4 mechanics makes Wraith's encounter less threating as a whole, like having all you're pikmin ride on Oatchi allowing you to out-speed the Wraith and even micromanage easier. Especially being able to select which ever sublevel you wanna go back to from outside of the cave meaning you can straight up just focus on a single floor and leave before Wraith even appears. Heck even the gates and every enemy will stay how they were when ya left them.
I remember as a kid the pikmin 1 snagrets always used to scare me, it fucked me up so much that when I played 2 I was so scared of boss floors Cus I didn’t know if it was going to be one, some trauma is carried with those feathered fucks

I also didn't play pikmin games past 2 so can't really rate the rest. Pretty much every other pikmin enemy unlisted are pushovers so yeah pretty accurate tier-list. You just forgot a few things.
Rock pikmin trivialize empress bulblax in pikmin 4. Chucking rock Pikmin at her face takes a while but the chip damage kills her with no threat to your any of your Pikmin.
Honestly, I feel items trivialize her even more. Chucking bombs/heat-seaking bombs at her Cavern for a King fight turned an otherwise hellish experience into a complete joke.
You know I like the auto reticle but I'd prefer if it was done by holding A with the "attacking" pikmin types like purple and the originals (they need it). The gimmicky ones can do without, cause aiming is half the fun with fighting pikmin 2 had the funnest combat
What do you think of the Gildemander? I don't think he's BROKEN by any means, but he's so tanky and has an attack with no Pikmin kill cap that one mistake and you're fucked. I also feel the Long Legs from Pikmin 3 should get some credit.
Id disagree. Pikmin 4 id put the water wraith at the lowest tier…. Even with 2 of them I felt no threat. With the over powered dog…. You dont have to worry about pikmin getting crushed as he has to make physical contact with you. The challenge was is your squad fans out and is slower then you… with that eliminated the guy is a push over… also his timer seemed longer, but maybe I just knew what it was by the level name and was over prepared?

pikmin 3 isn't hard? to be fair, my one gripe is i went in blind and didn't know that the insect king(L something, i forgot his name but remember his title from pikmin 2) would eat all my juice, and i mean all my juice, every single possible piece of fruit you can collect before him i got, which ended with me getting around to plasma wraith and no more juice left, so that save was just me madly going at the wraith over and over again on the last day, when i start replaying pikmin, i'm gonna collect as little fruit as possible.

A squad of 15 Yellows and focussing on the shadows can help you a lot.

So many dead… ive never not had a fear of the snagret since… seeing their offspring hopping about gave me flashbacks and made me consider the concept of if they cried out like a Dwarf Bolborb from pikmin 1 and the mother just emerged from the ground… it’d be nightmare fule…
Never happened, missed opertunity but the entire game was just easy mode… until last minute they uped the dificulty to 100 for the final cave with zero balence because, they alowed you to cheeze caves and expected you to. (Redo, green pikmin, or exit and re enter at any level you disire.) plainly bad game desighn… which is a shame because those fights could have been spread out to mid floors and end floors and made for some memorable caves…

Honestly I'd put 4 Water wraith down at strong and that's generous, 2 was hard because you didn't have oatchi and multiple ways to make sure your Pikmin are safe like the idler's whistle, heck there's even dedicated safe spots in 4 where the water wraith can't enter, not to mention better Pikmin AI in general
There's spots in Pikmin 2 that block the waterwraith though. It can differ depending on how the map generates, but they exist in Pikmin 2 as well as Pikmin 4.

As long as you hug the walls and corners the wraith will (almost) never make contact with you or your Pikmin.
Thing is though, Submerged Castle is done a lot better than Engulfed, and the Wraiths AI is more aggressive.

It's a different approach to difficulty. Pikmin 3's hardest struggles are puzzle bosses; figuring an enemy out is the hard part, the execution is consistently pretty easy.
Meanwhile, the enemies in 4 can and do comprise a gameplay challenge of execution, especially if you choose not to engage with the depth of tools offered in the shop or upgrade Oatchi for combat.

Personally I think the Segmented Crawbster is a great 'late-game' boss fight. There is so much that this boss can do to you that it really does demand you pay attention. His speed is enough to actively outspeed Pikmin which not even the Waterwraith can match, its size means its not going to be easy to strafe out of the way and the rock attack means you have to carefully position yourself after you successfully knock him out, if you are greedy and try to get too much damage, he'll swipe and deflower your pikmin making further attacks harder to avoid.
Contrast this to Raging Long Legs who is just _Fat Beady Long Legs who needs damn jellyfish in his arena to pose a threat..._

Pikmin 4 not only has a boatload of tools to make things easier for you, but it even lets you straight up cheat.
Since you can just leave a cave whenever you want without any punishment, you can just leave and re-enter to reset the water wraith's timer. So you really don't even have to engage with the wraith, even if you're slow.
They even let you run straight for the exit on every sublevel while ignoring all the enemies and treasure, beat the wraith on the final floor, and then when you enter the cave again, the wraith doesn't even spawn anymore. Ever. So you can just casually collect everything with no lurking danger.
It's a joke.
In general, the fact that you can just leave a cave at any time without losing ANY progress is baffling to me. Not even the nectar drops despawn when you leave!
I get wanting to make things a bit less stressful, but at that point you might as well just let the onion come with you underground.
If it's no longer an endurance test, not even a mild one, why even have a cave?
It's like a vegan eating a fake hamburger. They don't actually wanna eat meat, but they still wanna feel like they are having the experience.
That's what Pikmin 4 caves are like. For people who want to feel like they are beating a gauntlet of challenges, without actually taking the training wheels off.
You feel like you accomplished something when you beat a cave in pikmin 4, but in reality you were never in any actual danger, so if you're honest with yourself, it feels like a hollow victory.
the real punishment for leaving a cave is the tediousness. If you're willing to do all that shit just to cheese a cave then have at it.
Who even leaves caves early anyways? Its easier to just do it all in one go. The enemies and bosses aren't even hard and the waterwraith is a joke.

I don't know why so many people don't talk about this, but the Man-at-Legs got buffed *a lot* in Pikmin 4.
For starters, its AI is far more advanced and plays a bit with how it shoots. The arenas now have destructible walls and it can get quite tricky to hide idle Pikmin, especially since the creature now shoots at a slightly higher angle.
All of this would make for a challenging boss fight, if it wasn't for Oatchi's existence.
In regards fo Hey! Pikmin, Fireflinger Groinks, and *Crumbugs especially* are hellspawns.
I feel like Pikmin 4 should have the ancient sirehound, especially the brutal final phase. It also has the some of the most health of any enemy in the series and is immune to most cheese methods.

also as far as I know the only enemy in all of Pikmin 4 to have a damage cap per stun, which makes it's metric fuck ton of HP last even longer.
Yeah, that fight took me over 15 minutes. Did I forget I could use glow pikmin? Yes. Did I get an extinction and have to do the fight all over again? Several times. It was especially hard for me because I am afraid of dogs and I felt like it could sense and was exploiting my fear.

Pikmin 4 and Elden Ring share one similarity.. they have the most strong enemies in the franchise, but your character is also a lot stronger then previous entries. At least from what I personally seen or heard.
The Titan Dweevil can be made far easier if you go into the fight with just your yellows, hiding all your other Pikmin in the entrance hole, and attacking everything except the Shock Therapist.
I didn't even know people thought the Pileated Snagret was a hard boss fight. On the other hand I'd move the Man-At-Legs up a tier at least because it can kill purples very easily and the Quaggled Mireclops frustrates me so bad it would be in guaranteed misery for me.
I feel like spam is the only reason cannon beetles are that high, I'd lower them and groinks into "alright" and bring the Orange bulborb out of nowhere for alright as well.
I think mireclops can be raised to strong as well, because it's feet are surprisingly finicky.
I'd also argue that, P1 Sheargrubs are slightly OP, given the fact that they're treated like fodder enemies.
The Mireclops isn't hard at all you have winged Pikmin and spicy spray, just learn his ques and you're able to whistle the wings into flying so they can't get crushed with the bonus of being thrown instead becoming of planted unlike rock pikmin, so you can actually continue to whistle if they do get thrown into a pool of water and they'll instantly get out and go back to you. The fights in those games would last seconds if it wasn't for the invincibility frames.
The mireclops actually can crush winged and rock pikmin, which is dumb and annoying.
If it weren't for that, then yeah, winged pikmin would invalidate him harder than any other boss in the game.
IMO, it's feet are finicky enough that fighting it requires more strategy and precision than anything in the strong tier if you want a deathless run.
@@nyon7209Absolutely agree getting platinum deathless is so fucking tedious his feet are super tanky when using the blues it gives you and the moment the reds touch a body of water it cancels their charge and leaves them vulnerable to being crushed which sucks since sometimes he'll charge for like three cycles making the entire half of the map water.

The segmented crawbster in my opinion is one of the easiest bosses in pikmin 2 alongside the emperor bulblax. His boulders are incredibly easy to dodge and you can one shot the boss with less than 50 pikmin. Also there is essentially 0 chance of getting hit by him rolling into a ball unless you aren't using the c stick. Every other enemy on the list I agree is pretty bs tho. Great video
the empress bulblax for me is misery,why? cause she killed all of my pikmin when I was a kid and since I didn't understand extinction in the game I thought it meant they were gone forever and that made me pretty upset when I was a kid,I'm pretty sure I can beat her now that I know what to do,but back then,I would be crying my eyes out XD

Honestly if not for Pikmin 2's instant win options, Bitter Spray and Purple Pikmin, I would be inclined to move the Gatling Groink up a tier, and even then I'm tempted because those things have a lot going for them.
While sure on their own they may.not be that bad and such, being a late game enemy those assholes are rarely ever alone, spawning with hoardes of other enemies, so your best hope id to judt try and lure it away and murder it on it's own then carry back it's corpse wuickly because guess what it also regenerates. Plus honestly the Gatling Groink's reputation I think helps it a gpod bit, while I'm not sure if it should count, I feel like hesring those footsteps makes you well aware of whst you will have to deal with and on the look for those things the entire time while they lurk, as if you're back in thr submerged castle or something. Plus the devs thought it would be hilarious to place some of them on sniper towers, so, wooo.
Still though, lot of ups, but Pikmin 2's buffoonary could balance it and the rest out I'd say.
Also the Segmented Crobster warrants it's spot, I'd say it's pretty.much the only enemy in the series that full on requires extensive use of spicy sprays in order to counter it, since otherwise your pikmin will get run over like Brian Griffin or something. Gotta be planned in advance for this one.
One thing I love about the smokey progg in 4 is that they made its gloom look like the gloom from tears of the kingdom.

I think the reason the wollywog feels overpowered is because he's just like. A dude. A frog. He doesn't feel like something that should be able to murder half your squad so quickly if you mess up. Big boss and miniboss enemies like the groink or any large bulborb feel like they should be a challenge, and are a triumph to beat. Cannon beetles have an intimidating gimmick that gives them the sense that they should be scary and approached carefully. But the wollywog? He's just a big frog lump. Doesn't even use a scary pikmin-eating tongue. He's just a regular guy until suddenly he crushes all your pikmin. Sometimes even does so if you're whistling, because if you mess up the timing your Pikmin (which are very dumb and sometimes trip/go the wrong way) might end up under him regardless. The white one at least looks a little menacing in the gloom of caves, but the yellow one looks about as threatening as a rubber ducky. That's why it feels overpowered when he then instantly crushes all your straggler pikmin that didn't run fast enough after a whistle.

I feel mat at legs had a simmilar deal as the emperor in 2. Easy in the first fight but more dangerous in later battles with less cover and a smaller platform. His throw distance isn't a none issue
Bulblax on Pikmin 1 doesn't need bombs, and is pretty easy to bait out his tongue, chuck Pikmin on his lips and do a ton of damage
Man at legs deserve to be higher, sure it can be dealt with a simple cover to hide from but the first time 8 year old me and my younger brother fought it in challenge mode we were not ready and didn't know what to do
Watching videos like this makes me realize that my sense of difficulty is messed up since I've no deathed all these games.
The Sovereign Bulblax is so weak, if you feed it a bomb rock then charge with Oatchi with a moderately sized squad it goes down quick. Also feeding bombs to it are super easy, and the player and Pikmin are not at risk since the bait and switch mechanic.

I think the wraith in 4 probably only goes to strong. Oatchi just about makes it harmless to your followers, and its lower speed makes it easier to collect any stragglers. Not to mention, Oatchi's speed means it might not even get a chance to spawn at all. Really it just turns into a game of looking around sometimes and babysitting your Pikmin.

Something I don't see people talk about is that Purples do have a special effect on the Pileated Snagret. If you throw one on the ground while it's hopping it will stun it for a very short amount of time. I've used this mechanic to make the fight a bit less tedious.

Personally i dont think Biden deserved the 'Very Strong' spot. Sure his stomp attack can ruin your run if you're not careful, but his hitbox is so huge, you dont need to think about much else.

I was away from my base and suddenly noticed a fuckton of my Pikmin dying and I came back to...that thing stomping around killing all my planted Pikmin and it ended up wiping out ALL my Pikmin as I tried to figure out how to kill it

Ya'll are so over dramatic about the titan dwevil he is as easy to cheese as the plasm and water wraith is; he never leaves the arena and his instant death attack has an obvious tell and wind up before he does anything. If you're having a hard time with the Monster Pump use the geyser room and you'll be able to whistle running Pikmin so they won't die, use the ramp in his areana for a height advantage when throwing purples so their homing attack locks onto the the shock therapist and now you have a worse plasm wraith.

I agree. The titan dwevil is definitely at least one higher tier of difficulty with his electric attack. Took kid me a lot of resets to be able to beat him, and I see the same with a lot of newcomers to the series as well.

this list is ok I do feel 4's water wraith should be a bit lower it bis nerfed by the fact that the engulfed castle is far to easy and easily cheesed. I must admit the plasma wraith and quagledmireclops though they are a lot more fun and have better mechanics I find them to be a lot easier than 2's Manat legs. Also I find that it is an insult to put Joe Biden in the very strong category he is by far the hardest enemy in the Pikmin franchise for no reason.
In Pikmin 4 I destroyed the man-at-legs in seconds, I just spiced up my wings and spammed charge. Easiest boss ever.

I just recently played Pikmin 1 again and witnessed that invulnerability head on. That was cheap af!
For the Smoky Prog i had a different approach this time. Normally I threw Pikmin on it's forehead when it stayed near a onion. This time I gathered all the bombs in the area, wait until it stands still and does it's shockwave and throw bombmin at it to chip down it's healt way easier and safer.
Not sure why the armored cannon beatle isn't on this list. He is a NIGHTMARE for first time and casual players. If you don't know that you are supposed to clog his nostril, or if you don't know the timing, he's going to steamroll more than half of your Pikmin every time he spits a boulder at you. Not to mention he regenerates, which means if your not clogging his nostril almost every time, you might not be able to defeat him before you run out of Pikmin. And if you run back and grab more he's going to regenerate a third of his health at least.
Every time i see a wollyhop and try to fight is i lose at least 5 pikmin maybe because I'm used to pikmin 4's auto lock on
I have had a bad experience with cannon larve that i recorded and put on my channel where the rock they shoot WENT OVER A WALL DIAGONALLY TO KILL my pikmin.
I don't get why people consider the 2nd and 3rd version of empress bowblax strong. Kill the spawns, toss pikmin on it's ass, they literally die on every spawn. It's incredibly easy
The bulborb larvae are the only ones I'd ever really call Overpowered. The rest are just strong enemies, which like, do people not want stronger enemies the further you get into a strategy game?
And calling bosses overpowered? It's a boss, it's literally its job to be strong.

Honestly I'll put Bulbear from 1 into alright. Since personally for me due to them sleeping, it gives you plenty of opportunities to swarm them with enough pikmin to do massive damage and even killing them or just bomb them to half Hp and finish them off as soon they re-snoozing. But I'm surprised you didn't include Beady from 1 with it's wonky movements and obinoux trend to shake off pikmin was sure annoying just to dealt with it WITHOUT any causalities. But I definitely have to disagree with putting 4's Wraith as it's entirely neutered comparably from 2 version not only does the cave have actual SAFE SPOTS from the Wraith but he's seems less actively trying to chasing down your squad or bit more tamed down AI compare to the original, plus it real doesn't help how few of Pikmin 4 mechanics makes Wraith's encounter less threating as a whole, like having all you're pikmin ride on Oatchi allowing you to out-speed the Wraith and even micromanage easier. Especially being able to select which ever sublevel you wanna go back to from outside of the cave meaning you can straight up just focus on a single floor and leave before Wraith even appears. Heck even the gates and every enemy will stay how they were when ya left them.

The rest i mostly agree with but groinks, bomb dweevils and cannon beetles can be insufferable in some spots all the way up to very stong. I also didn't play pikmin games past 2 so can't really rate the rest. Pretty much every other pikmin enemy unlisted are pushovers so yeah pretty accurate tier-list. You just forgot a few things.
Rock pikmin trivialize empress bulblax in pikmin 4. Chucking rock Pikmin at her face takes a while but the chip damage kills her with no threat to your any of your Pikmin.
Honestly, I feel items trivialize her even more. Chucking bombs/heat-seaking bombs at her Cavern for a King fight turned an otherwise hellish experience into a complete joke.

Id disagree. Pikmin 4 id put the water wraith at the lowest tier…. Even with 2 of them I felt no threat. With the over powered dog…. You dont have to worry about pikmin getting crushed as he has to make physical contact with you.
The challenge was is your squad fans out and is slower then you… with that eliminated the guy is a push over… also his timer seemed longer, but maybe I just knew what it was by the level name and was over prepared?

pikmin 3 isn't hard? to be fair, my one gripe is i went in blind and didn't know that the insect king(L something, i forgot his name but remember his title from pikmin 2) would eat all my juice, and i mean all my juice, every single possible piece of fruit you can collect before him i got, which ended with me getting around to plasma wraith and no more juice left, so that save was just me madly going at the wraith over and over again on the last day, when i start replaying pikmin, i'm gonna collect as little fruit as possible.
