I watched the video again fogr the third time even tho I am now 74 think i will have to buy one,I had a T110 bought it on September 1 1959 the Bonny came out in 1960 the T110 was the same but only one carb good for 110 mph on a good and a following wind and lying down first did 110mph with onlt about 2000 miles on the clock bloody great bike . I have had about half a dozen Triumphs since including a 1980 Royal Wedding Bonny, should have kept both but can not see around corners.

Hi David, hope you are still riding that bike! I am of the same vintage, first got a Cub back in 1965 and then a series of Triumphs. Sold my 1983 Bonnie 3 years ago when I had a hip and knee problem, but have last year bought a 2001 Bonnie in green (being from Dublin!) had been garaged for about 7 years and only 5k on the clock. Fussing around it and waiting for the weather to improve and then I will be preparing for the RoSPA test, good to have a target to aim for. Good luck in your riding, Liam (Hemswell, Lincs)

Well spoken sir. I love Bonneville. I will be buying this model. Have an America. I want this one for work during the week. And for the weekend to explore.

I have one exactly the same, am 70 and I can still ride it with confidence. Had to get rid of my xjr 1300 too heavy too fast but another great bike.

1968-1970 was the pinnacle of British Motorcycles with their Bonneville 650 IMO. It was all downhill from there. Modern Triumphs have become too docile and heavy,

The important thing to remember is that Hinckley products ( while great) are not Triumph. I don't think people realise that John Bloor bought only the name of Triumph and not the company. The conditions of the sale were that he could use the name but that he had to change the logo. In fact he actually distanced himself from Triumph in order to build his new product. Indian also went through some curious copyright issues at the time of its collapse until Polaris bought the name and also the company effectively.

Not anymore, the fools jacked up the displacement (1200cc), and switched to a 270° crank. Plus now they're made in Thailand. Give me a Kawasaki W800, with its 360° crank!! 🇬🇧🇯🇵🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿😍
