I fell and badly cut up my face while walking to work a few years ago and people came to ask to help I was like 'No I'm fine, I'll just sit here on the footpath for a bit thanks.' One woman eventually convinced me to let her drive me the rest of the way to work...and they took one look at my still bleeding face and sent me home (well actually a colleague drove me to my GP which was across the road from my house). It hadn't occurred to me that I couldn't just go in and continue I with my day (it later turned out I had a concussion as well, haha)

I'm just like Phil a bit of a hypochondriac myself and I get panic attacks quite frequently. In my experience if you are really stressed you get panic attacks more often so that might also be a contributing factor in why he thought he was fine when he passed out from the migrane and him thinking he will die when he swollowed a bit of glue, he was just more stressed in general thus a bigger overreaction.

Yep. I always try to avoid the doctor and the ER even if I’m really sick because I don’t wanna pay for it, just to get mediocre care/be waiting for four literal days before getting a room just to be told I was slowly dying from a colon infection
FRRRRRR i busted my chin open when I was 13 and I told my mom to just use the medical glue we had to glue it together... and guess what??? I still have a scar but my chin is back to normallll
