My gosh, it’s even funnier to me because something similar happened to my dad. He was driving my mom, my sister, and myself somewhere where they had parking directors. My sister and I were early teens in this story. My dad approaches a parking director and rolls down his window to ask for directions for where he specifically should park. The man happily and innocently said “Oh just go around that way and park and then you can take your lovely granddaughters inside!” And he waved at me and my sister. We died laughing. My mom didn’t even care that it might have meant the man thought she was our grandmother, she was just tickled that my dad got called out for being older 😂😂

As an American ER nurse, I can attest that this crazy shit happens often. And when patients are super nice are always near death or super sick and it freaks us out because they are about to die.
@@herecomesthesun_9294 Big agree, I work in vet med (but transferring to human med cus vet med pays dust) and any sound that happens enough will eventually just become background noise, whether its a dog barking, kitten mewing, or machine beeping.
In case anyone doesn’t know: LAY DOWN IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU FEEL FAINT the most dangerous part of fainting is hitting your head your body is trying to get you flat asap so your blood pressure can relax, if you don’t get flat your body is gonna do it for you
1) looking at that picture with Phil wearing a hat I can 100% tell how they mistook Dan as your son 2) I am SO glad that this didn’t happen in an American hospital
Anaesthesiologist are the best people ever, when I got surgery the anaesthesiologist was a Middle Eastern man in his 50s with the thickest accent who was petting my hair going “think off good foods, good friends, good memories (: ” while Abbas dancing queen was playing in the background, best hospital experience of my life
Yeah, anasthesiologists are always great. I've had two surgeries under anaesthesia and both times the staff were amazing. They're really as gentle as they can be when they stab you with the needle for the vein access. And they're really good at talking while they're doing their stuff.
i tried to argue with/correct my anesthesiologist. he was a nice guy,but he said some things that weren't quite true and (this was before we knew i was autistic lol) i wanted to correct him because i didn't want him to be giving wrong information (he told me that after the fruit smell they added faded,it would smell like nail polish,so i could just imagine that i was 'hanging out with my girlfriends and we were painting our toes' ) i tried to tell him that 1. i didn't have any friends, and 2. it actually smelled like nail polish *remover*...idk how much of that i actually managed tho in my defense,i was 9,autistic,and Very High
my mom had few surgeries and she told me that they always laughed with her when she was drugged outta her mind 🤣every time my mom started cracking up jokes🤣
so to help feel less bad about his terrible joke, my husband under painkillers was told the toaster wasn't working in the ward, he proceeded to tell them "the tories need to pay you guys more"
As someone who has stress dreams/nightmares of my loved ones dying, I cannot imagine the panic of having my closest companion fall unconscious in a pool of blood in front me.
20:06 they might not have lied! Before surgery they’ll often give you Versed, which keeps you calm while they bring you to the OR and also completely wipes your memory of the time you’re on it. So it might not have put you to sleep, but it would still be the last thing you remember before waking up. (source: this is exactly what happened for my surgery earlier this year lol)
as a frequent fainter that has been put in a chair SO MANY TIMES while unconscious, the "if he's fainted, don't put him in a chair, put him on the floor" bit was so vindicating XD
I have presyncope, and I was flabbergasted. I said, out loud, "He's safe on the floor. Don't move him. He can't crack his head open if he's already on the floor." Really hope it was a random person that brought the chair over. If it was medical staff, they need re-education.
I fainted recently at the hospital, last thing I remembered was hitting the floor face first & then I woke up in a chair surrounded by family & hospital staff😭 I’m glad they didn’t leave them me on the floor I would’ve freaked out probably
Literally the whole point of fainting in many cases is becaue the body need to disperse blood & does it in the most chaotic way with the aid of gravity.
Honestly it is such a relief that phil fainted at the hospital and had the bloody mess there because he could get immediate help. So insane that he went through that!
Honestly, a shoutout to the NHS is really deserved, I was just visiting London from another country and got a medical emergency and had to have an ambulance called, and the Doctor James(tm) who showed up was sooo nice and explained everything really well and on top of it all, it was all free ! Shoutout to James, I hope he gets a pay raise
I cannot believe the series of events that led to this situation, but yall uploaded this video while I'm sitting in the bath, with a bath bomb that turned the water BLOOD RED.
mostly probably just the fact he was very ill so looked older. also as a nurse can say people for some reason look way older fully laying down than they do sitting/standing up.
DAMN. As someone who worked SPECIFICALLY in the colorectal department of their hospital for 4 months straight, I can confirm: I NEVER saw a case like this

I love the fact that they discovered the A&E fast track which is to literally faint in front of the staff and you immediately get treated
This new exploit will save hours in the speedrun. Magical.
PHIL TWEAKING BC OF NURSE SUSAN REFERED DAN AS HIS SON IS SENDING ME 😭
16:27 Is the most unbridled startled-rage I've ever seen from Phil. Like that "fuck you" came from the freaking soul 😭
And the fact it wasn’t bleeped out either !! That man really wanted to emphasise
yeah! I replayed that so many times, never heard him scream like that hahaha, love it
love that Safiya's joggers made it onto Phil's Extremely Specific List including exact pieces of clothing and/or where to find them
I'm so sorry guys it was probably quite traumatic but Dan's description of Phil passing out and shitting blood all over the hospital floor made me absolutely CACKLE
honestly i'm so tired and i was fully crying laughing at this. took a full hour to get through the video with how much i had to pause and laugh. glad he's okay tho
Same, laughed out loud, way too funny :D.
I was _wheezing_
As an American ER nurse, I can attest that this crazy shit happens often. And when patients are super nice are always near death or super sick and it freaks us out because they are about to die.
i was in the hospital recently, when i looked at my notes they called me "very pleasant" and it made my entire day
got a good grade in hospital
Dan: this is going to ruin the tour
Phil, drugged out of his mind: what tour
"Let me google boob" "this is MY laptop!"
I love how it was only one lol
12:39
that had me dying lol
Phil apologizing to the code team when he was gonna bleed out is crazy 😭😭😭😭😭 don’t worry Phil, we want to help you as doctors and nurses
and to answer your question: you become one with the beep and it haunts you in your sleep as well
@@herecomesthesun_9294Yeah I still hear it after I get home from work lmaoo, or the call buzzer 😭
@@herecomesthesun_9294 Big agree, I work in vet med (but transferring to human med cus vet med pays dust) and any sound that happens enough will eventually just become background noise, whether its a dog barking, kitten mewing, or machine beeping.
In case anyone doesn’t know: LAY DOWN IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU FEEL FAINT
the most dangerous part of fainting is hitting your head
your body is trying to get you flat asap so your blood pressure can relax, if you don’t get flat your body is gonna do it for you
“This is going to ruin the tour”

phil sending dan a text about his surgery and surviving and dan just saying okay is the most dnp thing ever
1) looking at that picture with Phil wearing a hat I can 100% tell how they mistook Dan as your son
2) I am SO glad that this didn’t happen in an American hospital
not dan wearing the 'have the courage to exist shirt' while phil was kinda dying
💀💀💀
Anaesthesiologist are the best people ever, when I got surgery the anaesthesiologist was a Middle Eastern man in his 50s with the thickest accent who was petting my hair going “think off good foods, good friends, good memories (: ” while Abbas dancing queen was playing in the background, best hospital experience of my life
That is actually so sweet :')♡ i am going to think about this next time i have to go through scary hospital visits
Yeah, anasthesiologists are always great. I've had two surgeries under anaesthesia and both times the staff were amazing.
They're really as gentle as they can be when they stab you with the needle for the vein access. And they're really good at talking while they're doing their stuff.
i tried to argue with/correct my anesthesiologist. he was a nice guy,but he said some things that weren't quite true and (this was before we knew i was autistic lol) i wanted to correct him because i didn't want him to be giving wrong information (he told me that after the fruit smell they added faded,it would smell like nail polish,so i could just imagine that i was 'hanging out with my girlfriends and we were painting our toes' ) i tried to tell him that 1. i didn't have any friends, and 2. it actually smelled like nail polish *remover*...idk how much of that i actually managed tho
in my defense,i was 9,autistic,and Very High
my mom had few surgeries and she told me that they always laughed with her when she was drugged outta her mind 🤣every time my mom started cracking up jokes🤣
Mine complimented my tattoos and scratched my arm for me😭
so to help feel less bad about his terrible joke, my husband under painkillers was told the toaster wasn't working in the ward, he proceeded to tell them "the tories need to pay you guys more"
Dan on the previous video: When Phil fainted, you failed to notice that I had fainted. You're Heavy
At this point Phil’s near death experiences are the new annual video that has replaced PINOF 😂😂
If I had a dollar for every Dan and Phil video that involves a near death experience….
riches beyond my comprehension
you can pay for tour tickets??👀
I want you to know that my pre-med student partner laughed so hard at this that they legitimately started crying.
At this point "how Phil nearly died" stories are just something we expect at least twice a year
dan is an amazing story teller, he could literally yap about anything and make it sound 10x more dramatic and funny
And he thinks we wouldn't want him doing a podcast. Silly, silly man
I miss his story times soooo much, literally my favorite thing
YouNow my beloved I miss u

As someone who has stress dreams/nightmares of my loved ones dying, I cannot imagine the panic of having my closest companion fall unconscious in a pool of blood in front me.
Seriously like Daniel are YOU alright????
"closest companion" is actually such a great way to put it, as well as a lovely turn of phrase
@@fluterem8866 thank you! I chose my words carefully. 😆
Yep, same thing happened to me when I had my scoliosis surgery back in 2016.
"Phil's walking a bit funny, typical Tuesday." Daniel 😭😭😭
as a frequent fainter that has been put in a chair SO MANY TIMES while unconscious, the "if he's fainted, don't put him in a chair, put him on the floor" bit was so vindicating XD
I have presyncope, and I was flabbergasted. I said, out loud, "He's safe on the floor. Don't move him. He can't crack his head open if he's already on the floor." Really hope it was a random person that brought the chair over. If it was medical staff, they need re-education.
I fainted recently at the hospital, last thing I remembered was hitting the floor face first & then I woke up in a chair surrounded by family & hospital staff😭 I’m glad they didn’t leave them me on the floor I would’ve freaked out probably
same!
God that must be nice 🥲
you should leave a good review for james on the google reviews for the hospital :)
@madi--2890 theres a website called care opinions where you can leave reviews for specific drs, wards, hospitals ect leave him a good review there!
Glue guy is at it again 😢
“Phil will be alive in your town.” is such an ominous statement

This is the most unhinged NordVPN ad I’ve ever seen. Well done.

mostly probably just the fact he was very ill so looked older. also as a nurse can say people for some reason look way older fully laying down than they do sitting/standing up.
DAMN. As someone who worked SPECIFICALLY in the colorectal department of their hospital for 4 months straight, I can confirm: I NEVER saw a case like this
fr how did he manage to be mostly fine for 10 days with a nicked artery wtf
@@majorcrayon8515i was wondering this too!! How???
I CURRENTLY work with this type of patient (I'm not a doctor, nurse, or medical assistant/tech but I talk to patients all day including about their symptoms). Can confirm, this is one of the most terrifying, go-right-to-the-ER-and-do-not-pass-go symptoms you can experience in the colorectal or gastroenterology world.
