Thank you so much for this!!! I want to make sublimation teeshirts for my husband's business. Now I can using this method. God bless you and your family and your business!!!
It turned out great!! I have been doing this only I watched a video where they pull the htv off the backing and press the sublimation right on the htv first. That way if you are way off you don't ruin the shirt too. I have a light box I use and put everything on it to line up. Works great.
Thank you for this info. I have a lot of that HTV glitter that I didn’t know what to do with since using an 8550 sub printer. You are so helpful and easy to follow.

looks great. that you for the video. I have a cricut explorer 2 and I did everything, but my sublimation print out didn't sublimation on the glitter vinyl
If you bleach the area you can submit with regular Sublimation inc by bleaching the area you want Just cut out a square with vinyl black off the area that's not getting sublimated On 100% cotton black shirt
Hello, I really enjoy watching your videos, I have learned so much from watching your Chanel, I was wondering if you can use any htv brand and color? Tia
Hey Katrina thank you for taking your time to show how you do your work. I will like to know do you use Cricut design or even the machine for any work?
Hi. Thank you for your tutorials. I really appreciate it. Question. When you sub on anything do you have to use a printer that sub using sub ink? Or can you use a regular printer that just prints but your using ASub paper to print design on? Thinking about getting an eco printer and convert but if I can do on a regular printer then I won't get it. Will just get and use ASub paper.
I really want to find a way to create designs on any shirt by not spending too much on machines like a DTF printer technology so i thought the cheapest is to buy a plotter machine and i can use HTV as well as sublimation HTV. . Does it give you a good quality with durability? i'll try to find some washing test on this method. :)
@@katrinasgracefulcreations3711 it's a cheaper way but it's like sublimation, no need for special ink just the ink jet copy machine then just copy the image onto the jet pro paper and press it with the heat press, they have it for light and black material. I tried it on a mouse mat made for sublimation for my nephew and worked fine.
@@PatriciaPageMosaicArtsCrafts can you please help me understand if the HP Laserjet Pro M4252w can be used to sublimate without using sublime ink cartridges?
@@ummyaasir129 Hi Latosha, I dont think it is possible to sublimate with laser, although through research I discovered there is paper for laser copy machines that you can use to transfer any picture you desire. Yes using this method it’s with glitter. I have seen guys so it with glitter or people making a glitter shirt for a man too with like a nipsy t shirt. Wouldn’t look right for every design though.
Can you use the same type of htv vinyl in just a plan white and get the same results? Love this hack and thank you so much for sharing! I am just getting started with sublimation.
Can you tell me how the HTV holds up in the wash and dryer? I’d like to offer this as an option for small businesses for their logos on black shirts. However I don’t want them to only be good for 5 washes…ya know. I’m on a waiting list for my DTG printer so just looking for subbing on dark cotton options
Regular HTV is a different material that won't absorb the dye sub ink. The specialty HTVs like glitter, hologram, glow-in-the-dark, or iridescent will absorb the ink. (But maybe others can comment here on brands since I'm not sure if that's a factor or not!)
Katrina, can you explain what sublimation is? And why you would choose sublimation. I have a hard time understanding what it is and why you'd choose this method! Thank you
Sublimation is ink embedded into the fabric is you have a polyester material or something with a high percentage of polyester. It better that applying vinyl on top of the shirt because it last longer and you get full vibrant colors (on white shirts) That's the short answer.
Why are you using Siser Glitter White HTV rather than non glitter? I just read one of your replies that said glitter or frosty clear is need so you can sublimate. I only know it be be the clear frosty or the glitter white. it's something in these materials that allows you to sublimate on. but you can always try other materials and vinyl.
I just used rainbow white glitter and its SO thick. Is yours thick and heavy? It worked and the photo popped but the shirt is so thick; I really dont care for the thickness. Did i do something wrong?
