I think you should give this foundation another chance using a mattifying primer and a mattifying setting powder for your oily skin because it looks really good on you and I think that way it would last longer.
Probably the best your skin has looked with a foundation!!

Can you do a “Make it Work” series? Where you revisit foundations and use mattifying primers/foundations (I love the Guerlain primer, but one specifically to mattify, like cover fx or Milani mattifying)?
I don’t understand why she doesn’t use a matte primer? She sees the hydrating ones make her more oily try a matte one🤯🤯🤯🤯

But they aren’t working so why not try something else
I think whole point is that those are most used and trusted primers that she knows perform well. Adding a different primer that she doesn't use as often might asscue the review and the results.
I'm sure she thought of it but I have oily skin too and when I use a mattifying primer it clogs my pores . It's a lose-lose situation
I get it but i feel like she doesn’t try enough things to see if it helps. I’ve tried so many different products to see what works and what doesn’t that’s the fun of makeup i think and it doesn’t have to be all high end stuff i love my drug store makeup
Love your videos Cassie! I’ve watched nearly every foundation video that you’ve put out because I have oily and problematic skin too. You should put together a ranking/recap for all of the newly released foundations you’ve covered over the past few months! There have been so many, and it would be interesting to see how you’d weigh their pros and cons and if you would change any of your feelings on them based on others you’ve tried!

Thrift Thick appreciate you using it several days before coming to your conclusion. You looked gorgeous and nothing that you cannot fix with some mattifying products with it.

If u got it from sephora they have shade finder on all the foundation now. So it be easier to find ur shade.💋💓
I dont know but every time I use the Smashbox Primerizer Primer, all my foundations are destroyed. It makes my skin oily. So I think you should try another primer.
I actually took this foundation with me to Florida 2 weeks ago for a family event at Disney World. I walked through two parks from 9am to 11pm and it held on great! I was so impressed! For reference, I have an oily/combo skin, and sweat like crazy just standing in hot weather over 90. I actually didn't use a primer because almost all primers make my foundations look cakey and awful in my nose pores, but I did make sure to set it well with a mattifying powder.
I'd love to see you try this with a super mattifying primer :) it looked really nice aside from that.
Love this foundation!!! Best one I've ever tried! I don't even need to set it with powder BC it sets so nicely!

Hi .. I have oily skin.. I use Becca primer and it’s helps specially on the T zone .. but.... makeup wipes off so much and I don’t think is waterproof because if I cry it smears .. so I don’t know if somebody has experienced the same.. :( or do y’all think I’m using the wrong primer? I need advice cuz I’m about to return this smashbox makeup.. like for the price $$ it should be way better than Lancôme.
i LOVE how this foundation looks on your skin! i would look into different methods to help it last longer, such as mattifying primers or even the ordinary niacinamide (it helps oil production, makes my foundation last all day with little to no oil and i’m super oily!)
Hey Cassie! I mean this is the nicest way possible, but have you thought any of getting a new mic? Camera quality is super good but the sound feels a bit burky(? Do you say it like that in English?? Canned maybe???) ❤️ much love
That and some noise insulation would work so well! A cheap mic with pretty good quality is the Fifine series. They're like $20-30!

I just recently went back to using my fingers to apply my foundation and I love it. Plus I don't feel grossed out that there's bacteria on my sponge n brush

I got this and Becca and Becca is not going on my sponge to my face! does brushes work better than sponges? (also using Walgreens blender not the brand name one lol)

I have combination skin and think i will give this a go. It looks beautiful on your skin when you apply it.
Use a mattifying primer on t zone and hydrating on the rest. And moisturize a lot! It changed my routine
Love the way this foundation looks on you! I’m very curious to try it but I have so many foundations right now. I feel like I really need to work on using some of them lol. When I was your age my skin was exactly like yours, not with blemishes but with all the oil. I’m 45 now and I’m the last year or two My skin has changed so much!!! It’s more normal to dry. Hang in there sweetheart the oil production will get better. I can honestly say I know exactly where your coming from. Ive always enjoyed your honest reviews, always!! I bought this foundation thinking that it was going to work on my oily skin and after 5 hours the foundation started coming off. I did use a mattifying primer and set it with a powder but it still did not stay on my face. I think this is good for normal to very dry skin.
I just reviewed this too and I loved it. I love seeing how products work differently for others
I was really hoping this would hold up better. Still thinking of getting a sample and trying it with the UD De-slick primer and the Too Faced Peach primer, both tend to work pretty good for me.

Hey Cassie, I was wondering if you could try out EM cosmetics, I’ve heard that their serum blush is amazing, and would love to know how it looks on someone more oily skinned. Also, I’ve seen physicians formula came out with a “newer” line I believe it’s called organic. But it’s found on Walmart, maybe do a full face of that line from them?
Nikkia Joy had same results as you Cassie she has super oily skin too and so do I. I think it's better for normal to dry skins?!
I have combo skin and when I used the sponge it didn't blend well especially in my dry areas it would cake around my lines and pores had the same issue with Revlon..fingers worked best for me so far.
I thought the first day without the primer was gorgeous! I think you may be using the wrong type of primer. It may make the foundation more oily and able to keep you matte less.
dena mosel does the foundation say it has a primer in it already? I know doublewear does and she loves that one. So do I. I personally don’t use primers, just my moisturizer, and that always works great my foundations.
@@a.j.9098 I don't think it has a primer in it. But having said that just using her moisturizer and the foundation was gorgeous. Using the wrong primer for your skin or even for that particular foundation will make it look horrible. Using silicone based primer with water based foundation and vice versa will screw up a good foundation as well.
dena mosel yes that’s very true. And silicone based primers tend to make foundation slick right off oily skin. Hmm... I hope she keeps trying it with just the moisturizer! Because I agree that day looked the best

The fact that we have the same shade in this foundation made me inexplicably happy haha According to the Smashbox makeup artists it's better to "stamp it" on with a dense foundation brush. I used it with two of their primers and found it great, but the nose is always an issue. Could you maybe try the new Fenty? I'm curious to hear your thoughts and mad at myself that I didn't wait for your review before buying this one lol

It only transfers I'm guessing because of the over use. It simply couldn't set. Sorry, I know this is old. I just almost didn't buy this because you said it was oily. I'm so freaking glad I did.

I’d love for you to try the MDSolarSciences mineral creme sunscreen in SPF 50 either as a primer or before your regular primers. It’s the best thing I’ve found for oil control. My nose is the oiliest part of my face and nothing I put on controls its oils except this sunscreen. I am always so surprised at the end of the day and see my T-zone completely shine free thanks to this sunscreen. The only thing is that it may emphasize dry patches if you don’t hydrate and moisturize well beforehand.

I was so disappointed with this foundation on me! I have oily skin as well. The 15 hr hydrating foundation on me is amazing (my holy grail)! So I had high hopes for this one. I haven’t worked myself up to trying it again. Same thing happened to me though, oils came through and the transfer was 🤨

I'm 40 this year and this is the best foundation I've found so far. And yes you used wayyy too much. It's because the sponge allows you to spread as much as you should be with it drying under the brush. I'm sure you figured that out by now tho. I don't think any reviews are fair on your first go round. That's just obvious though
Just a very random thought... You should try Victory Rolls!!!! For some reason the way your hair looked at the first part of your video and the make up I can’t get that out of my head. I think dewy foundations look good on you. I think.you should try matte in your T zone and dewy on the outer part of your face
