Neel Parmar no it’s not if you listen to other interviews he has a heavy British accent. The accent in this interview either came from Bale staying in character or Bale slowly switching back to his own accent after having spoken in an American accent for such a long time
Me too... I love how you are saying that with the Joker's face in the picture you chose :) Though you know, the Joker never wants to kill batman and says he is so much fun... he wouldn't be able to live without batman! :) I will miss Christian Bale a lot too
Karen Gonzalez-Videla same as I will miss Christian bale as batman since he gave a more realistic approach of his intelligence logic strong morality and being tactical genies. Speaking of Christian bale as batman what did you think of Ben Aflleck as batman?
wow, he is by far, the best actor to interview. Most actors just say "can say", or "watch the movie to find out". He actually gave us an insight of the film but didn't spoil it for us. Christian Bale rocks.
Amen! He is so hot it's unreal. He is very masculine, he is perfect mix : has vintage Hollywood actor type of aura like Paul Newman, Brando or Burton had - pure macho, but with a little of James Dean's outsider/sensitive kind of aura. He is my dream!
One of the best Batman Movies ever made & Christopher Nolan's Masterpiece ,of course the sad tragedy of Heath Ledger will forever be remembered with Dark Knight ,This is the Classic in Collection of Classic Hits .
Christian Bale Born in Wales to an english mother and a british/ south african father. Lived in Dorset, Surrey, bournemouth in England. Moved to LA when he was 17. considers himself english not welsh. for those who are asking and wondering. i thought he was an awesome batman.
He did the accent in all his Batman interviews like this on purpose. Well he said he tried to keep it all an American accent like he does in the Batman movies to be consistent but I guess talking on the spot without practice his actual accent gets caught up in it. Go to any other interview and he'll be a full-blooded brit again.
I love how much he understands the role he's playin. It shows his true dedication to each roles he plays, he BECOMES the character, more actors should take note from him.
No matter what you think of his (inherently silly) batman voice, it is impossibe to argue his is not the best actor to play the part. Thanks to his acting abillity he has brought the best cinematic Bruce Wayne. This is especially true in the first half of Batman Begins were he has to give 3 distinct performances and yet feel natural. I personally find his perfomance before he met Dukard very impressive. Hopefully Afflect's acting has evolved to point he can match that. Affect is lucky though, his body is way more suited to play Wayne, i am looking especially forward to see him play the pretend billionare playboy. For all the praise i give Bale, he had to rely fully on his acting abillity to portray the role since his physique is far from ideal. I hope Afflect gets to direct down the line, Snyders directorial inconpitence in Man of Steel was extremely dissapointing, lets hope it's just a floock, he has made good movies in the past.
The interrogation was their first scene? Thats amazing to me. That was by far the highlight of the movie and the relationship and chemistry between them was just so built up at that point.
To everyone bitching about his accent, when promoting the Batman films Christian retained an American accent while doing interviews or promoting the films.
Christian Bale is an inpecable actor. I have been impressed with him ever since I saw him in Empire of the Sun. When I watched that movie I remember thinking to myself how could a child have that much depth and mastery of his craft. Everythink Christian Bale does in movies is an honor and privledge to watch. His skill and dedication to depicting the moment of expression is honorable and respectable.
Christian Bale is one of the great actors of our time. From Empire of the sun to now he's done one great performance after another. I hope we get to enjoy him for many years to come. And a damn shame about Heath Ledger because he had just started to bloom.
I've always wondered how Heath Ledger would've handled the grueling press tour/interviews for The Dark Knight in the summer of '08. He never felt fully comfortable with fame, which TDK would've brought even more of for him. All the praise and extra attention could've affected him.
I love Christian Bale , I think he is a very good looking and talented man . I guess he can be a bit of a jerk in real life but he's still awesome , and I love his mixed up sounding accent lol
Accent is immaterial, it even adds to the earnestness and enigma. The pith is that CHRISTIAN BALE IS AN ACTOR WHO KNOWS WHEREOF HE SPEAKS. He digs deeper into the well of his character to extract a wine that will consume our thirst for a captivating account of the cape crusader.
For me Bale was/is the best Batman/Bruce ever. Keaton is overrated af. Bale was superb, subtle performance all about Batman complex psychology, actually scary with this unique animalistic voice I love, unique approach. And Bale portrayed Bruce's inner torment brilliantly. First Batman/Bruce with actual substance, no bs. Keaton was only decent and in his costume, he was more funny than scary. Bale was the best
I love his intellectual gravity and over-average concentration, in combination with the complete lack of bloatedness and of falseness. That makes him so special. My second love goes to his cheekbones and the beautifully shaped head. And I don't even want to *** him or something. He is just gorgeous as a person in an unsexualised way. (I wish, we would do that to women, too!)
Very underrated actor. He deserves more credit for his roles. Take The Dark Knight for example. And who gives a crap about his accent, the fact that he can disguise it so well in his movies is what should be taken into consideration.
Wow, I was not aware of the extent Chris modifies his voice for each interview and movie. Here it sounds like a Bostonian accent, sometimes it is just generic 'American', and so on.
It's because he's been all over, and doing a bunch of accents in different movies. After time his accent has turned into something pretty varied. Much like Johnny Depp.
Wow, he is a babe. And omg his American accent is awesome :) Honestly I didn't know he had a British accent until after I watched the Dark Knight xDD I'm slow :)
he's a really great method actor, if you read about him, sometimes he keeps his accents from his movies in interviews as to not throw the audience. he hasn't lost his accent, he's just..... amazing.
Christopher Nolan Batman and Christian Bale as Batman is obviously great. The batman voice he did was freaking cool... :) I wanna see how Batman vs Superman Dawn of Justice turns out... Like I was not very impressed by Man of Steel. Only by Henry Cavill. In addition there's gonna be Wonder Woman in a totally different attire. Was never fan of her when it came to comics. But yeah, it's Gal Gaddot so gotta see how she portrays her. Not to forget Lex Luthor. This is where I am very very excited to see Jesse Eisenberg's acting and looks.
Christian Bale - a terrific actor! He is talented, beautiful, charming and even a real man! Batman - great picture, but I noticed it even in Equilibrium, and I think this is one of his best roles ... Dear Christian - I adore you!
This man is an acting genius…. he's doing like 4 accents at once here!
Jez4prez1 this guy is a genius...
lol, I was gonna say the opposite for the same reason, but I know he works hard so I respect him for that :)
I think it's a mashup of British, South African and New Yorker due to his mixed upbringing across several countries.
I think he is trying to keep character but at the same time trying to be an actor in the interview and also being himself so 3 accent haha
Neel Parmar no it’s not if you listen to other interviews he has a heavy British accent. The accent in this interview either came from Bale staying in character or Bale slowly switching back to his own accent after having spoken in an American accent for such a long time
Im going to miss Christian bale as the Batman

He and gal gadot would make a hell of a team
Karen Gonzalez-Videla same as I will miss Christian bale as batman since he gave a more realistic approach of his intelligence logic strong morality and being tactical genies. Speaking of Christian bale as batman what did you think of Ben Aflleck as batman?
There’s a multiverse though so maybe we’ll see him in the DCCU
Do you still miss him?
Even his hair line looks like the bat signal
Lmao
I’ve had a bad day but this comment, it made me laugh. Sometimes I love the internet
Lmao it’s true 🤣🤣
Anche il suo capelli sembra come il batman

Greatest superhero trilogy of all time - the dark knight trilogy

Best joker - Heath ledger RIP 🙏🏽

Boston accent to New York-ish, back to English, and so forth. Very intriguing lol !
I think at the time he was preparing for his role in The Fighter which involved a Boston accent
His dad moved with him to the US when he was 17 so he's both British and American imo even if he doesn't have American citizenship
@Inception Report - Terminator Salvation
He's also Welsh so there's some distinction from there
Very dreamy...........
Pls be the Batman again , it’ll never be the same
He is gorgeous
***** Thank you. :)
Oh Michael Keaton was a far better Batman hahahahahah
Bobby B GET THERAPY. BYEEEEE ;)
Bobby B No thanks! Like I said, it's probably 3 inches.

As an Australian I can confirm half of that statement. Sounds kinda like a half drunk Aussie to me

No doubt
Bale is so good at interviews. Love it, and I love how he mentions the interrogation scene and how much he and Heath enjoyed acting together.
Christian Bale Born in Wales to an english mother and a british/ south african father. Lived in Dorset, Surrey, bournemouth in England. Moved to LA when he was 17. considers himself english not welsh. for those who are asking and wondering.

I thought he was awesome in the role as well :)
