He should have won an oscar for TDK imo he is the greatest actor ever. Yea sure Heaath were great but if you are looking at the character Batman he is suppose to be in the shadows while the joker is more out there. I cried in TDK because its so touching. the best blockbuster movie eever! Christian is the best batman ever!
I loved Heath in this movie, but the other actors don't get the credit they deserve, there would not be any kind of Batman movie if not for Christian Bale.

When Batman Begins came out everyone loved him. What you said about Ledger is true. He would've said those words without a doubt. Ledger actually said in a radio interview that when he was working on set with Bale, he was marvelling at his talent and said that he has immense fun working with him because he threw himself into the role.
He should have won an Academy Award for this film. Incredible performances in all three films. Ledger was great, but without Bale the film wouldn’t have worked as you need the right actor as Bruce Wayne/Batman to work and he worked incredibly well. I’m glad he won an Oscar for The Fighter but he should have been nominated before then as well as have at least one Academy Award prior to his win for The Fighter.
his accent changes quite often.... same with his weight and figure...wow he must be doing several diferent movies cause he is the type that goes all out in his movie roles

I'm not extremely great with accents... but he sounds nearly just like in Public Enemies... maybe a little less prominent than in the actual movie, but still :) It's different than his other accents, but I love it :) it's so adorable!

i think all of this method acting dilutes his character sometimes....right now i feel like im watching christian bale with a hint of bruce wayne...if you watch some of his earlier interviews he acts differently
Na it's not.. its a known fact that he kept his american accent during interviews so he didn't put off american audiences as they were worried if they saw a welsh men playing an iconic american figure it would damage its box office chances Watch other interviews not from the batman era and you'll see his real accent
It's because he spends so much time doing different accents on top of being a method actor. He never really had a Welsh accent, but his original British accent has gotten kinda messed up. He sounds a little Australian now. You can hear his natural accent in the apology he made after his meltdown on Terminator Salvation.
