I bought one of these about 6 months ago to help fill out my 80's childhood movie fan stable and had the exact same reaction.... Took a bunch of shit from my buddies about it,... til I recorded them shooting it for the first time and without fail all got the same big cheesy shit eating grin of adolescent exuberance. Now every range day it's, "You bringing the Mac...?" Moral: If you buy one, make sure your friends bring their own ammo
I remember the 80s. The cool thing back then was to hold the gun sideways when firing. Targets were missed almost every time but plenty of innocent got shot.
I have to agree with you on this gun. It's price point, at $500.00'ish, fun factor, and cool looks made me jump on one last year. Everyone that sees it can't get enough of shooting it. Very fun shooter. Good breakdown on a low budget fun gun.
Lots of fun. The Glock mag conversion is worth the couple extra bucks. And mounting a red dot/light under helps with a bigger suppressor, since the sights are pretty much useless.
I love this gun!! Picked it up for $399 pre-COVID!!!!! Added a pistol brace, top laser (the more expensive model has the rail on the top with the cocking mechanism on the side) it’s a fun gun!!!
C'mon Colion. Just think Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Miami Vice, Even the Bad Boys movies. I got one of these new clones last week. Haven't fired it yet, but no mistaking that silhouette. Thx for the video.
I like mine, 9mm, side charge, takes glock mags, different release lever and has a rail across the top. I added the short hand guard front piece which I like better than the original barrel. I have an raised/angled red dot. It is fun to shoot.
A classmate tried to sell me a MAC 11(.380 version of the MAC 10) for $200 in the parking lot of a strip mall in 1993. I refused because I got the feeling he was trying to get rid of either a stolen gun or one used in a crime. Since that day I've often thought I should've purchased it. Better safe than sorry but it would've be a fun range gun.
Lots of sketchy stuff like that going down in the 90's. Fully transferable machine guns still in circulation after the 86 ban, Shame what happens when the 2nd ammendment is infringed 😢.
@@johndecker9983 Ridiculous laws aimed at discouraging, harassing and arresting Americans that have a civil right to own whatever they can afford to own or manufacture.
I want one! Reminds me of an old Cobray M-11/9. They are stamped steel with crude sights, but surprisingly, they point shoot naturally for me. The mags they use aren't so great either, but when they work, they are fun to shoot. I wonder if this is the same design. Looks very similar.
I have the older mini one it has a super short trigger reset and shoots very fast it looks like it spent 30 years in the ghetto but its a pretty cool little gun
Mitch Werbell a Scottish soldier and mercenary along with an aeronautical engineer by the name of Ingram designed the MAC 9, 10 &11 as a small suppessd side arm. It was for covert and close personal protection ( re: embassy use)! The term BIG MAC ATTACK came from .45 caliber version. Single point sling under an over coat very concealable.
I recall reading that these small smgs like the mac 10/11 and uzis were well utilized in undercover operations or more interestingly hit and run assassinations while riding on the back of a motorcycle.
@@utubegeneric And of Russian descent, and didn't actually help design the MAC. Also, every movement is going to cause something with a lot of off-axis weight (like a 32rd box mag) to yaw around like crazy on a single point sling, which would make it the opposite of concealable.
ive had that same gun for over 3 yrs i saw it and wanted it cause its s mac 10 its an iconic weapon from my youth 600 bucks brand new and its still a blast to shoot and it turns heads whenever i pull it out in the range
Great. When I see Colion having that much fun shooting a gun, I just have to have it. Sigh. Now I'm an and a must-have. I did grow up in the 90s and that does look like a blast. It shall be mine. Thanks, Colion.
I have one, and it’s best shot from the hip, for real. After practice it’s totally intuitive, great for an Alamo gun. And it practically sprays in three- shot bursts. Its a decent machine pistol, and it throws the 9mm rounds pretty good.
Mac 11 9mm was the first that I came across, I fell in love right away with it, the Mac 12 in .380 I bought later just because it was little smaller and I love it as well, never picked up the 10 version, if I did I would have to get it in the 45 version. They are awesome guns to be able to just enjoy, glad you found them!
I have one of these that looks way more like the original then what is currently being made. It has, no finger grooves, a more blocky look, and a rough grey finish. I wish they still offered it like that
I've compared the two actually. I concur about the aesthetic, but the new ones do have much nicer sights that you can actually adjust, and the rear attachment points are pretty handy too. Did you know there's an even newer version that accepts Glock mags?
@@Blahblahblahninsense I have seen those but honestly I purchased this one purely for aesthetic reasons. For example, mine comes with a fake suppressor. If I could not find a model that looked exactly like something out of Grand theft Auto or a cheesy 90 movie, I would simply not be interested. It's the same reason I purchase a Mossberg 590 bullpup, so I could recreate RoboCop 2 lol
I put an old-school tapco vertical grip on the Pic rail to the bottom. Actually, it's pretty freaking comfy...now all I need is a side folding j-mac stock and a small t1 red dot for the rail on the top (I have the tactical side charging version).
I get it...I had the old Cobray M11s back in the day.. and was actually carried a suppressed MAC 10 .45acp for my tactics job.. but the M11 was just as fun and none of the "red tape" associated with thy MAC. I recently picked up a Defender and it's fantastic interpretation of the original MAC and very reasonably priced... Lots of gun fun to be had with this piece
$500 huh??? I bought a select fire MAC-10 in 85 brand new. The weapon and the Tax Stamp along with 2 cases of ammo cost me exactly $502.15 with sales tax included. MAN, how the times have changed. The select fire ones are REALLY fun to play with. Not the best accuracy, even on semiautomatic, but flip the switch and have a ball!!! Just have PLENTY of loaded magazines ready the cyclic rate is FAST!!! I have the original one I bought, then 2 months later the same.dealer had a 45acp version, that had to come home with me.
I've had my eye on one of these for a while so seeing your video might have just sold me on it. I totally get what you're saying about it just being a fun gun and accepting it for what it is, but I do think I'd have the most fun trying to turn it into a more serious-looking gun at the very least. Probably end up spending 2x what the gun is worth just trying to tac it out but it deserves that level of ridiculousness lol
Fun little toy, when it works. Had issues with mine jamming. Had to send it back to MPA for repairs. Ended up getting rid of it as I have little use for problematic firearms.
When I had a thing for the 5.7 round, I found MPA had this gun chambered in that round. It was relatively inexpensive as well. Thanks for reviewing this company!
Had any trouble with yours? Most people say no but have low round count. I had two of the five seven versions. Both broken in under a thousand rounds. I cant remember exactly what it was, maybe a factory pressed bushing or front trunnion, whatever it was I remember that I didn't want to try and fix it. Both guns same failure. I never abused them or bumpfiring, nothing like that. First one I thought maybe a lemon so I traded it in and got another, after the same problem with the second I traded it for the 9. Its too bad because it was really accurate with a red dot. So easy to blow the bullseye out. I just couldn't recommend the 5.7 version after that dual identical failure. Haven't had any trouble with the 9 tho.
I purchased my MAC-10 in the 80's for under $200. It's a fun gun for plinking, However I think that it's a great car gun. It's also really rugged and has that look about it. I was more into the MP5. I have a lased on it, but the MAC-10 is more of a bare bones enforcer.
The MAC 10 finally found it's niche as an electric airsoft SMG platform, still iconic and actually useable with 6mm plastic BB's. The MAC 11 airsoft variants actually have gas blow back of the open bolt that makes them really fun with co2 or propane propellant for the BB's. You can also still purchase a FA MAC 10 in .45 from a private seller but it takes a long time to get the licensing to legally own them and a good suppressor (Years of red tape tax stamps) ($10,000 package these days if not more) not to mention how expensive it is to actually run subsonic pistol ammo with the high rate of fire and finding a range that actually allows FA etc.
I'm so glad you did a review of this gun because my local shop has one and I gotta admit it's really cool looking but because it's so cheap I thought it probably doesn't work at all and most likely jams every other shot so 👍👍👍 awesome video 🤘 and thank you I'm gonna go pick it up 😂👍
It’s a POS. Feels cheap. Firing pin broke after about 25 rounds. Got a replacement from MPA. Broke again after 8 rounds. I just shipped it back to them for “repairs”.
I bought one of these in 5.7mm years ago and it was the most dangerous POS ive ever owned. I sent it back to masterpiece arms twice and they never fixed it. It would regularly push the bullet back into the cartridge or just snap the bullet off the cartridge entirely. Its like the feed ramp was way too steep or something.
I own this gun and bought it before awhile back. That is the reason I saw this video. I saw this gun and it absolutely reminded me of gangster movies of the 90s. The exact reason why I bought it! It’s very intimidating and yes, great fun shooting!
"One win for Peter!" 😂😂😂😂😂😂 But seriously, thanks for reviewing a gun that doesn't cost over $1,000! I'd love to see more reviews of affordable guns please!

He's got to get quite a bit older before a portion of the commenters habitually write (on nearly every video) "I with I had a grandpa like this!", like they do with Hickock45. Come back in 30 years.
Why do you think so? In full auto, it's an open bolt smg, which means the trigger isn't even a functioning part of the gun at that point and pulls down out of the way of the bolt so it moves freely to cycle back and forth. There is absolutely no trigger slap in these at all. ZERO-NONE-NADA-ZILCH.
I was a teen in the 90’s as well but thought I was an adult I feel you.. the Mac 10 has always been an icon of that era and I’m not a fanatic like you but I will be looking for and buying the first one I can hold!!
if you like extra weight on the front to "balance" it, just use a standard scope ring with a piece of TUNGSTEN clamped in it. the overall length won't change.
I first fell in love with the mac10 mac11 from 2 movies Chuck Norris/Invasion USA and Kurt Russel/ Escape from NY. I started playing airsoft and my 1st gas power gun was a kwa M11A1 a 1/1 scale mac11. gas blowback with 50 rd magazine, empty it on full auto in 3 secs. I could carry it 1 of 2 ways I found a thigh holster that was made for the Mac 11 and had 1 extra mag pouch, or I had a shoulder rig that had straps that looped around my belt for stability, 1 side had a pouch for 2 mags, the other side had a detachable clip that went to the gun and a snap strap that kept the gun in place. I also had for it a supressor and a quad rail to make it look like snake pliscans mac 11 in escape from NY, minus having the 3x9x40 scope on it. My Mac 11 was know as the intimidator, because of the way it sounded on full auto when I shot it. It's 1 airsoft gun I will always own. I would love to have this clone version or the real deal .
Interesting situation, i was going to correct you on the pronunciation of "Faux" to say it's Fox but when i went to Webster for the meaning and pronunciation, well i guesss i have been wrong all these years...should have known better...😉
I own a fully transferrable Cobray M11/9 (a 9mm MAC-10 clone) and it is a true bullet hose. At 1,200 rounds per minute with a 32 round magazine, that is a whole 1.5 seconds of bliss. If you get this giddy over a semi-auto clone, imagine how happy you would be with a select fire version.
Got mine for 399 on PSA put a trilug on it with the short wolfman and I love it so much I’ll end up getting another one here soon. Everyone at the range flips out when I pull it out. MPA makes precision rifles so it’s no surprised triggers pretty good in the accuracy is really good.
I’m considering getting one, same deal I’ll get tri lug for my can and a brace. How reliable is it? I can’t seem to get a gauge. I haven’t seen someone really complain about the reliability
Has a mean factor w/the blocky stamped metal, long mag & supressor. I'd definitely get one for plinking (& the mag tool : ) Seems like a fun gun & thx f/review ☆
So, I have one. Colion does not understate just how much fun this thing is. I have the loader as well, I can get 35 rnds per mag. I also have a light attached to the pic, its an offset mount. The faux suppressor kinda hinders a direct under mount.
As an owner of one of these I can tell you this can be a very serious gun. You just have to spend the money for the quad rail that gives you a sight, a laser/light and angle grip. Then just get the folding attachment for the back and put a brace on it. Then you have yourself a serious stable and fairly accurate shooting platform

I got the MPA57DMG, so this thing but chambered in 5.7×28mm. I got a one point sling, with QD, and a Halosun pistol sized sight. 100%, it doesn't feel cheap whatsoever.

a range with a used tire looks like hell to me. imagine the ricochet.
What are some of the other 80s guns you have?
I think between 80s/90s movies and call of duty guns a bunch of folks me included have weird/unique collections..just too funny
In the 90’s I was in my twenties and we had all of the cool firearms. The MAC 10, the Tec 9, you name it. It was an awesome time
Every 80s bad guy had an army of goons, sprayin and prayin with these bad boys.

The reason the safety switch goes round and round is they forgot to put the 3 round burst and the FULL fun mode into it lol
😂 the good old days.
ohhh but it is very easy to bump fire it, i have one lol
Maybe that'll be version 2.0.
May need to add a binary trigger for half legal fun 😂😂😂😂
@@Th3W4tchmanthey have Glock lowers for these you can throw a binary in it lol
Lots of fun. The Glock mag conversion is worth the couple extra bucks. And mounting a red dot/light under helps with a bigger suppressor, since the sights are pretty much useless.
i was born and raised in the 2000’s in the uk, most iconic PDW’s were the UZI, Mac10/11 and VZ61 skorpion and MP5(bcoz police)
I love this gun!! Picked it up for $399 pre-COVID!!!!! Added a pistol brace, top laser (the more expensive model has the rail on the top with the cocking mechanism on the side) it’s a fun gun!!!
That Mac 10 brought out that inner “over exaggerated swagger” out of Colion
It's actually a Mac-11 clone, not a Mac-10. I have one and they are a blast.
CLONE means EXACT REPLICA right? So how is a Semi Auto Closed Bolt a CLONE of a MAC-10 Exactly?
You absolute madman 😂!
@@GMT439Hello pedantic person
C'mon Colion. Just think Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Miami Vice, Even the Bad Boys movies. I got one of these new clones last week. Haven't fired it yet, but no mistaking that silhouette. Thx for the video.
I have never seen anyone have so much fun with a review. Outstanding!
Your judgment was correct. Don’t stress over it.
That or even more likely, a fed boi trying to bait people to pad his resume with arrests.
@mrtlsimon 👍 I would ammendment that awesome statement to include anything they can manufacture
I want one! Reminds me of an old Cobray M-11/9. They are stamped steel with crude sights, but surprisingly, they point shoot naturally for me. The mags they use aren't so great either, but when they work, they are fun to shoot. I wonder if this is the same design. Looks very similar.
I kinda wish @Colion Noir would discover 3D printing and the goofy silly stuff that is out there. I think he would get so many giggles out of it.
He's to mainstream and NRA'ish to go that route.
@Repent-and-believe-in-JesusHow's our homeboy Jesus doing these days?

He likes his monetization. I don't blame him. We have Hoffman, PSR, and Ivan for that
I have the older mini one it has a super short trigger reset and shoots very fast it looks like it spent 30 years in the ghetto but its a pretty cool little gun
Mitch Werbell III, was born in Philadelphia. Not Scotland.
I’ve tried messing around with concealing one under my largest winter coat… it didn’t work so well for me
@@atbsigmaI can conceal mine in the front pocket of a hoodie
@@utubegeneric And of Russian descent, and didn't actually help design the MAC. Also, every movement is going to cause something with a lot of off-axis weight (like a 32rd box mag) to yaw around like crazy on a single point sling, which would make it the opposite of concealable.
ive had that same gun for over 3 yrs i saw it and wanted it cause its s mac 10 its an iconic weapon from my youth 600 bucks brand new and its still a blast to shoot and it turns heads whenever i pull it out in the range
Ty Mr. Noir for all you do for the FA community.
Merry Christmas, all the best to you & your loved ones♥️🙏🇨🇦
Just ordered mines this morning I been. Wanting this gun for months after working ot and taking care of 6 kids and a wife I finally go one 👐👐👐
With a brace and a fun switch that gun becomes a monster in the right hands.
Great. When I see Colion having that much fun shooting a gun, I just have to have it. Sigh. Now I'm an and a must-have. I did grow up in the 90s and that does look like a blast. It shall be mine. Thanks, Colion.
I have an older side cocking version and SBRed it. Actually a very reliable PCC. Always shoot with a real suppressor and a front grip. Very reliable.
and they shoulder bump really well. They do make great PDW's when SBRd.
Instantly see a Mac-10 and think Colors (1988)
It definitely has a strong "problem solver" vibe. But yes, it also looks incredibly fun.
They are
I have one, and it’s best shot from the hip, for real.
I've got all 3 variations. They're really something when you SBR them.

I put an old-school tapco vertical grip on the Pic rail to the bottom. Actually, it's pretty freaking comfy...now all I need is a side folding j-mac stock and a small t1 red dot for the rail on the top (I have the tactical side charging version).
I so badly want one with a square barrel extension, all scifi style.
$1461 in todays dollars
They still do. I was looking at MPA's website last year and saw the 5.7 version. I just checked again because of this video and it's still available 👍
@@KurtOnoIR I never got it….
@@zwpTHEbricklayer oh! Sorry, well maybe don't get that one lol.
@noirtec9 I had one and my main issue with it was that the magazine would just randomly fall out while firing it.
If it makes Mr Colion Noir smile like that, it's good for me! I'll go buy one tomorrow.
I purchased my MAC-10 in the 80's for under $200. It's a fun gun for plinking, However I think that it's a great car gun. It's also really rugged and has that look about it. I was more into the MP5. I have a lased on it, but the MAC-10 is more of a bare bones enforcer.
I was thinking it would make a nice truck gun
😂 The ideal concealed carry.
The Mac 10 and Mac 11 were the terror of 1980's Miami!!
I'm so glad you did a review of this gun because my local shop has one and I gotta admit it's really cool looking but because it's so cheap I thought it probably doesn't work at all and most likely jams every other shot so 👍👍👍 awesome video 🤘 and thank you I'm gonna go pick it up 😂👍
Yeah, like the tech-9 aka jamomatic
ITs A P.O.S. ALSO HAD ONE... SAME!
Merry Christmas, Colion! Thank you for your hard work, love watching your videos.
If you're looking for a light for this, the Streamlight TLR-4 works great. It's compact and even has a built in laser for it if that's you're thing.
Potential to be a decent home defense gun honestly lol
I love my defender in 5.7! It is so much fun to shoot and the nostalgia of it is so amazing!
This looks more like a clone of the M11/9 not the M10. Uses a Sten magazine too.
Had one at 16 in the early 90s fully. That Mac was my baby.
Too bad it can’t have a “fun switch.” Then it would really be awesome!
I own this gun and bought it before awhile back. That is the reason I saw this video. I saw this gun and it absolutely reminded me of gangster movies of the 90s. The exact reason why I bought it! It’s very intimidating and yes, great fun shooting!
Mac-11 = 9mm, Mac-10 = .45ACP
Still...pretty daggum cool!
Awesome!
No the Mac 10 come in both 9 & 45
But he is holding a Mac 11 clone
Mac 10 backs are shorter

Have a Merry Xmas Colion! Thank you for keeping us informed! 🇺🇸
Just got one today ! I was walking around the gun show soo disappointed then stumbled across this bad boy and thought it would be pretty fun to shoot so i got it.. thinkin about taking it out tomorrow
Colion-- are you competing with Hickock45 as to who can prattle the most and not shoot the dang gun?? 😂
He's got to get quite a bit older before a portion of the commenters habitually write (on nearly every video) "I with I had a grandpa like this!", like they do with Hickock45. Come back in 30 years.
This thing would slap in full auto. #RepealHughes
New Jack City RoboCop, Boyz N the Hood and others helped me fall in love with this gat. Definitely a phat ass gun. * iconic*
Isn’t that a replica of a MAC-11??
Did you not read the video description? "MAC-10 CLONE"
Yes. That looks like the longer, slimmer Mac-11 to me. Came out after the Mac-10, which was made in both 9 and .45. The Mac-11 was 9mm only.
@@Gottiline_Acethe video description is wrong. A search on google shows it a mac 11 clone. Mac 10’s are shorter
That's my bad. I didn't pay enough attention to it to even think twice about it. Should have expected as much. 😂
The faux suppressor actually directs the initial blast forward down range . And not 180 degrees at the muzzle . Plus all the reasons you mentioned .
It’s not a MAC 10 clone it’s a MAC 11 clone. A mac 10 is shorter thicker and chambered in 45 acp. The Mac 11 is 9 mm like this one
They used to make a Mac 11 the size of a Mac 10 but not anymore unless it's used on Gunbroker
That pistol is crying to be akimbo. Classic 80s twin mac miami vice style.
Regardless. $500.00 Man I Just Love This Gun. Absolutely Fantastic. Great Price and Great Video. Love It. 16:57
Watching Colion Noire Giggling, & giddy over a cheap iconic frame just makes Christmas feel good
Has a mean factor w/the blocky stamped metal, long mag & supressor. I'd definitely get one for plinking (& the mag tool : )
Seems like a fun gun & thx f/review ☆
So, I have one. Colion does not understate just how much fun this thing is. I have the loader as well, I can get 35 rnds per mag. I also have a light attached to the pic, its an offset mount. The faux suppressor kinda hinders a direct under mount.
Love your giggle Colion, pure joy, like being a little kid again.
I bought one around 5y ago for 350. I bought 20 sten mags for 10 a piece they work but you have to grind the sides a little so they will fit in it.
Also it will take jacketed hollow points you just really need to use Hornady critical defense. The little red thing in the middle makes it cycle
@colionnoir At 1:22 , that pic of you during your childhood was quintessential 90s.. wow.. as a 42 year old man.. I just had to stop and stare at that pic for like 10 minutes and soak up the 90s. The most glaring 90s outfit had to be the girl with what looks to be a jheri curl with the stonewash overalls... bro... stonewash was EVERYTHING in the 90s.. wow.. then the redhead dressed like a middle aged soccer mom headed to the office is how we dressed back in the day.. wow.. flashbacks..lol
I have the MPA-10 SST in .45ACP. It accepts grease gun stick mags. I have 5 of them, plus extra springs.
My buddy has one of these. Definitely fun to shoot! I like the side charging handle ones better because you can add a sight on there.
I got the MPA57DMG, so this thing but chambered in 5.7×28mm. I got a one point sling, with QD, and a Halosun pistol sized sight. 100%, it doesn't feel cheap whatsoever.
I want my first gun store when I was 25 years old and rocked it for about 14 years having two before we sold out in masterpiece arms was manufactured just up the road from us we sold them Wayback when I thoroughly enjoyed their older designs more than their newer ones you couldn’t stop their old ones they would run no matter what. Also extremely easy to manipulate so that you can have extra fun.
