I love that you've bought several enthusiast cars brand new. So many car enthusiasts just complain and spread negativity about modern cars, when they only buy used. Can't expect companies to keep making these low volume cars if you never vote with your wallet and support them...
Love to see another enthusiast who understand how good the ND3 is and could be. I just got my ND3 RF club 2 weeks ago. Already got coils and swaybars on the way. And I am super happy with my choice of buying a 2024 Miata.
Congratulations 🎉🎉 And i agree with you i also didn't like the stock suspension. I went with a Goodwinracing stage 2 suspension mod and exhaust. Im very happy now. Enjoy the drive!!
Steering feel is no1 criteria when selecting a car. And the main reason why i have started watching your videos, since i can get the needed info. Looking forward for your Emira caster mods. Cheers!
Congrats on the new car. Your videos are great for someone like me who can sort of fantasize on about having a car collection like yours-which I might say I am not sure I’d do much different. Perhaps swap the Mazda SUV with a Toyota RAV4 Prime XSE plug in hybrid for more power and interesting plug in tech. One aspect of your videos I enjoy is how you share your thought process for what car you select. I think anyone who enjoys cars loves that aspect of narrowing down what they want. You even get into the color combinations which I great. I’m currently shopping for a NC Miata. What are your thoughts on the color combination for the 2008 special edition? That car comes equipped with the lsd but lacks the bilsteins. What mods might you do to an NC? I initially wanted the PRHT NC but worry about mechanical aggravations with the power hard top as the car ages. Thanks for another informative and fun video.
Congratulations! I really appreciate your comments about the Miata being potentially overrated. And that is coming from somebody who loves Miatas, has owned four of them continuously since their debuted in 1990, and has logged hundreds of thousands of miles in them. I agree with your observations that they come from the factory too soft - even for street use. I was so disturbed by the ND1 , especially at its limits, compared to my modified NC2, that I skipped the ND1. I purchased a 2020 ND2 GT and hoped that I could modify it to match the performance of the NC2. I’m very happy to say, that changing dampers, coils, sway bars, and a few other tweaks can vastly improve this car’s performance - especially at its limits. Some of the changes are so simple and do not interfere with the daily drivability of the car that it’s hard for me to imagine why Mazda doesn’t sell them with these relatively simple improvements. I would like to hear Dave Coleman’s explanation for the factory sway bars. I’m pretty certain there isn’t one. I look forward to your delight in this car, once you’ve modified it to your liking. My enjoyment of this car is beyond anything I would’ve imagined when I first purchased it. I also appreciate you owning a Miata and an Emira. I’ll be picking up an Emira in the Spring, but my wife is having a little trouble understanding why I’m keeping the Miata, too. Your videos are helping.
Congrats! Back in 2022 I tried to purchase an ND Miata RF but just could not fit comfortably In 6’1” also. So I ended up paying more than twice the price for a 2022 Cayman GTS. I wish a had a manual hand brake.
I am waiting for the 2025. Going to score one in Guam. I am going to borrow a friends Lexus until they arrive at the dealership. Other choices were Nissan Z Sport & Supra. Supra is kind of high $. The Z Nismos are only in automatic, I don't get that. Aslo high $. Really kind of priced out of Nismo Z and Supra. Not in my budget. They have to special order the GR86 in Guam, I know they would tag on some extra dough to do it. If I can get them to order a Trueno I may do it. As of now the MX-5 with the hardtop is the choice. Too much sun, rain and mold in Guam for a soft top. I used to have a BMW Z3. Too loud also, not into ragtops, maybe just me... I really like the BBS package. I think it is worth the extra dough and wait. Great choice. Congrats bro! Bad ass little ride you have there.
I just got a ND3 in soul red as well. Like you I did consider what if Mazda released a limited edition in BRG next year as rumored. While it would be really cool, I would still get the Miata in soul red as the color is perfect for its design. I know it’s subjective but I can see it side by side but I would still choose the red, all things being equal. Congrats on the new toy…keep the Miata content coming!
@@jubbalandcars I prefer White Metallic Snowflake as the contrast from the Black aero bits & wheels is much greater. Too many Soul Red Miata's out there. 😎
Honestly, I never thought I'd ever be Miata guy, but I love driving my ND3 GT more than any other car I've driven. The next closest would be a 986/987 manual boxster. I test drove an s2000 once and honestly I thought the gearbox was really clunky and the car didn't handle that well out of the box. The ND3 drives and handles like most tuned cars, which is why I actually got one. Regardless, welcome to the club!! So jealous of the BBR, but I just couldn't wait 😂
Righteous! I just put in an order for a manual GT trim in the same color yesterday. The leather seats were more comfortable for me and I wanted to pick my own wheels. Crossing my fingers the 35AE gets announced before my car comes in just in case I want to switch my order.
Congrats on the beautiful MX5. I’m trying to decide if I want to order a 2024 or wait on the 2025 after my 2016 Ceramic Metallic Club with BBS/Brembo package was hit and totaled. Garage queen, weekend nice weather car with 600 miles on it. Still have a daily truck and 1997 M edition, but not sure I want to wait several months to see if they do anything new on the 2025 model. Enjoy the new car and watch out for other bad drivers.
As an owner of a '21' GT ST manual, I also wish the steering feel were better. Does the '24' have a quicker steering feel, a faster ratio? I also wish the steering wheel was 1/2 “-3/4” smaller. Beautiful car you have! Can’t wait to see the anniversary model.
Agree wish the steering wheel was smaller. The ND3 (2024) has improved feedback and better on center precision. I talk about it on my ND2 vs ND3 comparison
The best colors for the Miata are red, white and blue :)... really they are the best but I sure wish there were more. It's a fun little sports car and there should be fun colors. Light blue, green, yellow, orange come on Mazda
The MX5's lack in colors is what made me not buying it in the end. At least offer something like Yellow or Orange, no overpriced limited anniversary edition...
Congrats bro!! It looks so good! In a couple of weeks from now I'll also be picking up the exact same one as yours nd24clubw/bbs expect it'll be in deep crystal blue which hopefully won't cause me too much attention as i don't prefer that route anymore(used to own a redNA) but understandably especially with soul red one cannot get enough of its impressive art of red. I bought a red base 24. It's a lovely car. A little too showy for me, but seeing that beautiful color makes me so happy that it's worth it to me. The base trim really dances with bumps and turns, even if it lacks composure on some harsher stuff. Check out Malibu Canyon Road coming off the PCH, especially if there's no traffic, very beautiful scenery. Perfect road for the mx-5 experience.
We’ve been fortunate to film some reviews in Malibu. Love the roads. I’ll be driving it out to SoCal and will make a point to drive it there. ACH is too high speed for the Miata but Malibu technicals are great

I, too, was thinking about whether to wait for the 35th AE to come out or not but very unfortunate I'm not a fan of the color green. If the colors on interior/exterior matters to you most besides it's status of AE. Then I'd say it'll be a lot better to stick with your options and mod it the way you see fit. You could always viny wrap it later but cover it with PPF first before viny wrap if you feel the need to in the future.

Over rated ? My question would be why Buy it then ? I recently picked up the same 2024 Club soft top BBR package except in White Metallic Snowflake. Had a 2016 Club with basically the same package except cloth seats instead. Curb weight of this 2024 car is 2341 pounds. I'm still wondering how Mazda got that weight down when I see all the extra padding on the center console / padded sun visors & heated Recaro seats ? My 2024 feels like a more substantial car. The steering at lower speeds is more weighted where the 2016 was light at every speed. Visceral is how that 2016 Club felt as Mazda tried to get as close to the NA weight as possible. The sun visors were 1/4 inch thick plastic on the 2016. Get underneath the car & you see holes taken out of the steel supports. The 2016 design was weight reduction down to grams. Its not a Lotus but the lightness has been added as Colin Chapman would say.
Please, tell me you're going to add PPF it's a must-have, especially for new, and you're planning to keep it for the long term. Miata are very vulnerable to rock chips especially around the front bumper and hood. I've experienced it myself with owning a red NA in the pass. Its well worth the investment as long as it has a good warranty with the PPF like the one i found in LA 12 years warranty PPF which is a pretty good deal from everywhere else ive searched in the areas
@@jubbalandcarsare you claiming the new one is better, cause you'd be about the first to say that. Most of the reviews I've seen say the steering difference is barely perceivable. I have a ND2 that's lowered a tad, with stiffer sways and PS4Ss and the handling if off the chart. I have no complaints about the steering feel.
There’s def a difference - Chris Rosales, Zygrene, Brian Makse agree. Those who say there isn’t a difference either 1. Have different setups with the cars (e.g. tires or alignment) influencing their perception or 2. Don’t have enough steering feel
Considering getting the same spec ND3. I’ve rented an ND2 for 2 weeks and recently owned a GR86. Curious if you pass broomstick for track use. I’m 5’10” but long torso. Aurora has a lower seat mount that operates as stock. As far as body control, I was thinking sway bars too. But Brian Goodwin from Goodwin Racing says springs are better first because they also reduce dive/squat and open up more aggressive alignment options. Then do sway bars if you still need less body roll. Anyway, you probably know this already. Cheers in the new car!
Thanks for sharing those recommendations. I don’t think I’d currently pass broomstick - need to first install roll bar to know for certain. But with seat lowering bracket I should be ok. Aurora gives a bit over an inch, and there’s another company that provides 2+ inches but fixed position, losing the stock movement functionality
Idk why but i personally think the Miata is in its own league because it is a convertible roadster, very lightweight, and have its very own little unique fun factor to it. Very few flaws besides its storage but i say that those who care about extra space should absolutely opt out for the gr86/brz. In my opinion the Miata is a true driver vehicle for maximum fun 🙃

It's about to be the 36th anniversary edition if they don't hurry the hell up, waits patiently 😅

Life’s not so bad
Yo! The coolest superhero on the planet, Batman, is all about monochromatic 😜
Frankly when I get my ND, I want to wrap it in racing orange
Fun color for it
I just bought the same car in white.
Congrats my guy
@@jubbalandcars do the door bushings for $20. I was shocked at how much better it handles these shitty california highways.
Def best colour. All the other colours are so non descript and boring
Get that thing PPF'd immediately. Super super thin but its worth the look until you get 1000 rock chips up front.
gonna ride it out and endure the rock chips
no RF :(
Soft top everyday 🫡
say what you want about the GR86/BRZ and its flaws, but it is a much better value per $ than the Miata.
I think it's a good value when practicality is factored in. Just in terms of fun, Miata might be better.
Can’t take the roof off the brz 😂 simple as that
I agree GR86/BRZ is better value, but that doesn’t mean it is better across the board
