DragonOS FocalX E200 w/ Osmo-Nitb-Scrips, srsRAN, and SDRAngel Preview (ANTSDR, b205mini, R29+)

- In this video we take a look at a new SDR coming soon, the MicroPhase ANTSDR E200, and a new release of DragonOS FocalX that will support it out of the box.

Depending on what firmware the E200 is flashed with, it's compatible with either UHD or the PlutoSDR drivers. In this video I have it flashed with the UHD compatible firmware, so you'll see it being discovered by UHD and in turn able to handle GSM w/ Osmo-NITB and OpenBTS, both included in DragonOS.

The E200 also handles the open source SDR 4G/5G software suite from Software Radio Systems really well in both the UE and basestation roles.

Have you tried ant sdr e200 as srseNB with COTS UE?
Not yet, but I have the SIM cards and PinePhone to do so, I think it’ll be fine and try it when I get a minute.
Hi I'm testing my antsdr on my raspberry pi using dragon os but I couldn't run srsepc, the message was "could not create SCTP socket. Do you know anything about it?
Are you using sudo srsepc to start it?

YateBTS as included in DragonOS only supports the bladerf.
how can i configure osmo nitb so my phone can connect to it
It should be set for open registration. You’ll need a phone that’s got a sim in it and capable of gsm. If I recall that conf files are set to gsm 900 by default. My S3 and S4 are both capable of gsm, so I’ll search for providers and see the gsm network at which point I can connect.

what's UHD ?
Ettus hardware uses that driver, they also maintain it. But other equipment can use it via soapy too.

It didn't work. I checked out to see if my ANTSDR is not working. But it was working perfectly.

At 9:43 roughly in the video are you adding the extra parameter to the command line, the one about expert rate?

where do download the R29 images?
I took it down after uploading the newer ones, I can try and get a copy uploaded somewhere. Is there a reason you want the older one? Main difference being the kernel.

@@sitrakarakotondramanana4457 the latest DragonOS FocalX has it all running, in fact I was just testing it again for egprs. I found one thing you’ll need to do after installing.
sudo apt remove osmo-pcu
sudo apt update
sudo apt install osmo-pcu
Then if you want egprs it’ll work, but extremely slow and dns will probably time out.
I had to do some manual building and mix and matching of packages. It’s been some time ago, sorry I don’t recall complete steps. I can probably get OAI on 22.04.
@@cemaxecuter7783 It's not difficult also to make lte redirection with OAI-4G not OAI-5G. I could provide the code if you give the source.
