- Today we take a tour of one of the very nicest Sprinter van builds I've ever seen, owned by my good friend Joni. She designed this fantastic van and had helped actually building it, but was involved in every step. It turned out amazing and I'm sure you will love it just like I did! Come and be inspired!

This is one of the most beautiful vans on TH-cam and in the years she's been on the road, she's made no changes I can see - all the planning paid off! And it always looks beautiful; having a place for everything and nothing you don't need, makes keeping it tidy a simple task that becomes routine. Great tour of a truly lovely home.
Thanks for your continued support! And yes, I've made very few changes, and the only two significant changes are upgrading the batteries to lithium and removing the A/C to add more solar. Basically, all my significant changes are power related!
@@TheGalavan Your design skills are unique in that you consider each item's space, protection needed, usefulness & beauty. If I were to build a van or camper, I'd hope to afford your services & would not hesitate to recommend you. The fact that you could fit another person & their stuff speaks to those skills. This is one of the best builds I have ever seen. Yes, it does come with a high price tag...but there are plenty of great ideas that those with a much tighter budget can still implement in their own projects. Kudos to Joni for creating a a fantastic home!

Sadly, 1 hour after this video the authorities reported the woman and interviewer were viciously attacked by Sasquatch and drug off into the mountains. I'm kinda interested in the van in the estate sale...😬👍

I watched Joni's van build 3yrs ago when it came out but it is fun to go back through looking for ideas. I am getting ready to build a compost toilet and hers is a great design especially with the lid being a step also as I am short.👍🙂

I love your toilet! Back in the 60s my family bought a VW bus which we as a family converted into a campervan. Our toilet also doubled as a seat and looked much like yours. I remember people sitting on the toilet and inquiring about a toilet. Remember enjoying watching thier expression when my Mom or Dad informed them 'you are sitting on it`! (Our Bus slept 5, 2 adults and 3 under 10 children). May you have many great adventures in the Galavan!🙂

Beautifully designed and executed home. I’ve seen Joni interviewing and doing tours of other people’s rigs and was curious about hers. I’m not sure how to say it but it looks like her- if you know what I mean. Love it!

Bob this is one of the nicer van builds you have shown us . I keep hearing van builders saying that they have insulated there van with Reflectix . I watched a video by an Engineer with a degree in insulation . His full time job was designing insulation systems for high-rise office and apartment buildings .He stated that Reflectix has 0 R value and is not insulation . He did say it is an excellent vapor barrier and does reflect the heat from the sun though . Maybe you can investigate and do a video on this .
I love the wood color because it shows less grime and, your efforts to green it up are wonderful!
Lovely van! Joni should meet Lee Blake. They are both great designers down to the last detail. Takes a very analytical mind to refine designs and provide high functionality with minimal styling. Very nicely done! The underbed storage and wardrobe was very much like Euro RVs. Loved the cabinets low profile look and wood colors. Thanks Joni, and Bob!

That is an awesome van build. I really love it and so organized. That is the only way to be to have enough room that you need. I think its one of the better designed ones I have seen. Thanks for sharing.

I have been obsessed with your videos and the van life. It is so appealing in so many ways, but I could never afford to do it as just buying a great reliable van would be impossible. I wish it were possible, I really love the idea of traveling and meeting such awesome people, I don’t come across such a community in city life at all. Keep up the great work, I’ll live vicariously through your vids. :)

It's easier than you think. You'd get the hang of it pretty quickly :)
Join Miller, you can start out with a oil funnel and learn to use it in the shower... then later transition to a p-style or the Venus to Mars. Use the tetasteron boost you get from invading the auto parts store to purchase a funnel to climb the learning curve....
I wanna know what the pee rag do? Is it for wiping or covering the green bottle?
@@lunatmars it's for wiping. A lot of backpackers do this, hang it on their bags. I personally think its gross.

Beautiful van and great ideas! (The pink towel will stay in its place if you place a command hook or a cup hook on the ceiling and loop the towel tie over it. I love that your roll your towels with a ribbon loop - great thinking and lovely, too! :) Happy RV'ing!
