    Note for people who have the 2022 90 (likely the 110 as well) - there is what appears to be a heating device in the driver side rear quarter panel - not a big deal but you will need to remove it from the OEM panel and reattach it on the updated version.

    That’s a really nice cosmetic upgrade, but also practical upgrade on the rear bumper. I like the rear light panel upgrade as well - be interesting to see if it’d blend in more seamlessly with a gloss-black finish, but suppose it’d then not match the other checker-plate add-ons..

    Just looking at buying a Defender for an employee on the estate, it has this junk fitted to it and we wondered how easy is it to remove from the mirrors and will it leave marks or polish off to leave the origanal surface/paint? We hope they have the original green inserts for the rear still otherwise it could be an expensive day out replacing this stuff.

    • @L663
      @L663  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@L663 it looks crap and our vehicles represent us in a high net worth environment so chavvie stuff doesn't wash. Likewise I'd not ask anyone to do something I'd not do/drive myself. The rear section around the lights has to be green like the original car not the replacement checker plate trash l, that looks easy enough to get off. I was most keen to know if the adhesive left marks on the mirror housing. Basically I'm factoring on the costs of dealing with this v the Defender sale price v another car elsewhere.

This I can understand if it was an 18 year old with his first Golf which cost 1800 and requires work on the brakes but a body wrap is cooler.
    I would think that you have already done enough to this for Land rover to not honour the waranty and from what I hear they are not the best at customer service.

    The rear plate is too small , it would be better if it went over the outside edge of the bumper, after all that’s the bit that’s going to get damaged. The wing mirror cover is just wrong , looks crap.

    Ffs smh JLR what was you thinking producing the pretender in the first place and now you do a blue peter double sided sticky tape styling kit absolutely shocking like any of that would still be stuck on after a basic trail with summer growth.
    No wonder JLR tried to stop ineos from going into production

    • @beaviccoon470
      @beaviccoon470 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well most number plates on cars all seem to stay on (with the exception of the new Jimmy) when going on a trail and they weigh more than most of these accessories I think and so they should be fine on the trail and plus not many people go off road every single day so it should be fine.

    Good God, more plastic crap??

    • @johnwillett4086
      @johnwillett4086 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      "Plastic" does not mean "cheap" - a modern polymer is hi-tech. It has to have lots of important properties including UV protection, not change in temperature extremes (eg - not go brittle - not change colour - etc.). In many respects a modern polymer is much better than metal - so please don't trash it just because it's made from a polymer.

    • @JamesLivewire

    Firstly, I really love your videos.
    But this is a sad joke by LR. Marketing over function. In all honesty, it looked much better at the beginning. When you consider that it actually does nothing, yet costs 200 quid...seriously bonkers.
    It just reminds me so much of the original Freelander launch. Gaudy colours, plastic everywhere and worst of all.....it does not work.

    • @beaviccoon470
      @beaviccoon470 3 ปีที่แล้ว
