I found Crash Purple at least entertaining with a chunk of good minigames overall. Having classic gameplay (even if it's just for hub and challenge purposes) and boxes in the minigames made it decent.
Spyro Orange on the other hand... the hub worlds don't work with spyro's gameplay, the music is way worse and doesn't fit the levels and minigames at all, and you are required to do hard modes in order to go for the true ending.
Those games are terrible! Why were they ever created, aside from the obvious crossover??
The crash GBA games are very underrated.

Like Johnny, I can't help but burst out laughing at Crash and Crunch T-posing in a ball through tight courses in order to not only completing the level, but to also assert maximum dominance.
Every character has a T-Posing model in the multiplayer mode.
Rolling Crash T-Posing to assert his dominance over all his hapless victims is something I didn't know i needed ^^

I would really like to see him do the Mega Man handhelds and/or Donkey Kong Country. Both would be pretty cool. Maybe Rayman, too.
Don't forget Devil May Cry because they have 5 games. Without the bad DMC and the 2nd DMC or Matt for those two D!ck move Capcom 1 and 2.

My favourite Crash Bandicoot game is actually Crash Bandicoot 2 N-Tranced. I just love the levels,music,bosses and character choices they did to like N Tropy as the main bad guy along with N Trance and Uka Uka instead of Cortex this time round. Also it was my first time experiencing a Crash game back in 2005 when I started gaming so I was immediately hooked into the franchise and it's great characters. Especially Fake Crash, my favourite of the Crash series along with Isabella,Coco and Crash himself plus others. 👍

I actually have quite the history with crash bandicoot the huge adventure.
That was my first crash game I've ever played and I truly enjoyed it
It's a pretty beefy game that's both challenging and fun
My favorite part of the game is that the music is really nice for the gba.
This game though loves to reuse assets and stages basically these 6
Jungle, sewer, blimp, space, and ice cave.
I also remember getting scared trying to save the game because I'd always delete it by mistake.
For kids who didn't had a big boy console, these games would be magical to them
Fake Crash technically IS NOT evil.
He was always neutral to start with, he was just brainwashed like the rest of the marsupials.
We only associate Fake Crash with being evil, because of in Crash Team Racing, he had Uka Uka mask.
Which a fun fact: Crash Bash Japanese Version HAS an unlockable Fake Crash, which appears BELOW both Good Team and Evil Team characters in his own "grey zone" proving, that he is Neutral in a lot of his appearances.
Yeah, fake crash is pretty much just minding his business. Where does he come from? Doesn't matter, he's fake crash. Why does he look so similar to crash? Doesn't matter, he's fake crash. What is his actual name? Doesn't matter, he's fake crash. People only see him as evil because they associate twins with evil, as the evil twin is a pretty popular trope in media.

But its the same shtick like with evil crash.
He is part of 10th dimension, and just like Crash 4: its about time, we will see things in other dimensions like 11th one.
Its hella coincidence that when crash was meant to be warped along with Coco and Crunch, they pulled ANOTHER crash from different dimesion.

@@deoxysandmew2162 i know about his out-of-game origins, but i think you got something wrong with his in-game origin. He's not from an alternate universe, never was. He's always appeared in the main dimension, like in crash 3 and ctr.

Listen, when N.Tropy failed to grab Crash through his time and space vortex, where else he could have grabbed Fake crash from?!
The only explanation is that he was warped from a different dimension through that TIME AND SPACE vortex.
At first, i thought Fake Crash was an incomplete warp anomaly created by this time&space vortex, which is why Fake crash copied everything Crash did.
As in, being your literal failed clone.
But no, apparently not, he was just simply dragged from an alternate dimension, when real crash was pulled back to safety thanks to Aku Aku.
@@deoxysandmew2162 he could've simply grabbed fake crash from a different place in the main dimension. Also, him being from another dimension contradicts all these other games that don't involve any sort of dimensional travel and yet feature fake crash.

14:06 I like to imagine Uka Uka made a deal with Emperor Velo XXVII ("a real adversary") to team up and take over Earth as equal demigods, but Velo backstabbed him by threatening to destroy Earth completely, and the events of "Crash Nitro Kart" ensued. Yeah, it's really stupid, but it's better than nothing.

The Huge Adventure is a great game imo. A lot of people seem to praise N Tranced but...nah. It's not as good. It's like handheld version of WoC. Lots of gimmicks, barely any actual Crash platforming.

Most people regard N Tranced as the best of the two. And barely any actual Crash platforming? That's far from true. If people actually count the amount of platforming stages compared to gimmicks, there's always a lot more time spent on platforming than on gimmicks in Warped, WOC, & especially Ntranced. Crash isn't always about just platforming, he's about the hybrid action of platforming and daredevil riding things to the end of linear stages. That was always is thing since Crash 2.

Crash Bandicoot The Huge Adventure was actually one of the first games I ever got to play when I was a kid , so you could imagine I hold the game in pretty high regard as my start as a gamer.
Damn was literally just searching to see if John has posted something new when I got this notification.
God I have so many memories with The Huge Adventure, while I did watch my cousin play crash 2 at her house it wasn't until I got a GBA SP and a copy of that game that I was truly introduced to Crash Bandicoot.

I see that the subtitles are gone, which is for the best IMO. The reason being is that they risk giving away his impressions before even watching the video, which has happened a few times.

Out of all the Handheld Crash games I freaking love the Warp Zone World Portal music from Crash 2 N-Tranced, It's just so damn techno, Catchy as Hell, And it makes me want to dance like what Johnny did in his Haunted Castle/Castlevania Chronicles review, Yeah I brought that up.
Use to spend ages playing these back then... now might get these on emulater now

I loved these games when I was a kid. I have very surreal memories of Ntranced. I think I was 3 or 4 when I had those games.

my experience with Crash N-tranced is that it came pack with Crash Team Racing. which had spyro as an unlockable character you get from finishing the story if i remember correctly, the GBA version had the same story as the PS1 game but with different bosses and tracks as well as having N-Trance and Fake Crash as playable characters

9:20 This game reveals that Canonically Fake Crash is far more durable than regular Crash. Fake Crash can take 3 Hits without dying where as Crash needs Aku Aku to survive even a single blow.
It'll be About Time once John does that newest Crash game once it's out.
If you float under N Trance in the 2nd phase when he's shooting at you, you won't be hit as none if the projectiles will fire down there.

Johnny's evil plan for getting the Multiplayer up and running in a convention made me laugh.
I never played the handheld games. The only one i knew about for the longest time was Crash Purple because of commercials that would play at the time. For handhelds, some of them look pretty good.
Me and my brother played this in our Game boy Advances all the time as kids.
I feel compelled to say: please johnny, do these videos because you want to. Dont force yourself and push yourself because of the youtube algorithms and all that junk. I came to watch this show and channel kuz i love what you produce. I dont want you to push yourself till you burn out just for some faceless algorithm. Youre doing a great job, this isnt to say your quality or anything has suffered. I just want you to know that ill always be here to watch whether youtube is paying you or not. Crash Bandicoot Xs/The huge adventure is the only Crash game I've ever played and let me tell you, I loved it as a kid
Man I remember crash the huge adventure it was my first experience with the franchise never finished it as a kid cause I wasn’t the best at it but introduced me to crash and now I own the remakes on PS4. And yes I’m still bad at the games but I’m trying my best and having a somewhat fun time, super excited for crash 4
If you thought that Atlasphere Crash 3D model looked goofy, you gotta see the Atlasphere N. Trance 3D model from the multiplayer.
For some reason I feel like listening to Green Hill Zone earrape while staring at the atlasphere. It just radiates that sort of chaotic energy.
9:04 Plot Armor is the only reason N.Trance's plan didn't work. That and the existence of Fake Crash.
