Crash defeated N. Tropy, who had controls over space and time, who was equal to N. Trance, who's a 5th dimensional being, along with the evil twins and such. That is why I think this fights is bull. But hey.

The I saw Crash's rundown, noted how durable he is and what kind of cool gadgets he had, and I thought "Actually, Crash might have a chance." Then when they started describing Spyro's various elemental abilities, I again found myself thinking "Well, the scales do seem to still be tipped in Spyro's favour." Then they got to the subject of the Aether and what Spyro can do with it. "Okay, this isn't even remotely fair."
If the bandicot killed the dragon, something would have to be super messed up in the game's law. Like, it already is, but just, super messed up, if they made him powerful enough to kill a dragon. But damn, during that rundown it was crazy how powerful he was

He can put a planet back together by himself and even then, an afterlife and ghosts exist in his universe. Also did he even need to turn into Dark Spyro in the first place? Darkrai the Dreamkeeper yeah he could naturally use the aether although only for a little bit and must “charge” his abilities. Overall, crash was incredibly outmatched.
Frankly i'm more surprised on how long Crash lasted. I genuinely thought that Spyro wasn't gonna need Dark Spyro to kill Crash. That his base form was more than enough to overpower the Bandicoot.
When you really think about the ending of this fight it might actually be one of the most terrifying conclusions that Spyro is now out of control and likely never going to change back because Sparx is dead! Wow, that's pretty brutal for a fight that had cartoony marsupials and dragons.

Aside from Spyro being a dragon, because dragons are awesome.

Zack Morris In Rayman Legends, Rayman punched a guy so hard, he went flying through through multiple constellations and crashed into another planet in less than ten seconds. He could literally kill Crash with a finger-flick.

I gotta give it to you guys, the animation for this death battle was so smooth and the work put in to it is so amazing it blew me away, keep up the good work because it's what us future animators and other workers are inspired by.
To be honest. I don’t think they would. The masks don’t do give crash any more options to hurt Crash. (The dark matter spin might, but I still don’t think it would be able to outright kill Spyro). The slow time can be countered by Spyro’s own. The one that changes the the tangibility of items doesn’t protect Crash and I doubt that would effect Spyro. And the reverse gravity would only give Crash more ways to move. So they would help Crash survive longer, but ultimately they don’t remedy’s crashes issue of lacking an attack that hurts Spyro

Yeah. It was fun and still had puzzles like the original Spyro did. I don't get why it gets so much hate. Maybe cuz of the voice acting. I was definitely pissed they kept changing Sparx voice actor every game.
I had no idea that those games existed!! Ritos rage, year of the dragon were my favorites. Last Spyro game I’ve played was enter the dragonfly back in 2002!!!
Y'know, despite the clear odds in the matchup and the relatively "tamer" scale of the battle, this was probably my favorite death battle I've seen so far. I found the character expositions here especially fascinating, and the battle itself was smoothly paced. The feel of the battle also suited the tone of both franchises pretty well, too, being fun to watch without having to go over-the-top. This was helped by the interactions and even the lead-in to the battle feeling legitimately believable!
Crash has improved in recent years though, and even some of his old powers weren't taken into account. Like the wumpazooka he carries in his pocket (instant access to ranged attack), sprint shoes (speed doubles), triple Aku Aku (invincibility), and thanks to the latest installment, the Quantum Masks (reality shift, darkmatter spin, time dilation, reverse gravity). And most importantly, he can now actually speak quite eloquently and has the voice of a late night radio host.

I'd like to remind you that having the force of an atom smasher does not mean EVERY MOLECULE OF YOUR BREATH IS AN ATOM SMASHER, which is what they were using for scaling. The Atom Smasher feat of his aether breath is NOTHING compared to a fall from orbit unless you use that ridiculous mischaracterization. Neither of them can hurt the other, but Spyro has been shown to suffer from exhaustion. Crash wins.
We both watched the same battle. Outside of the Aether and Dark Spyro, neither really had a clear advantage over the other. Sure, Crash had trouble hitting Spyro when he took to the skies, but it's not like most of what Spyro would throw at him up there isn't stuff he's shrugged off before.
I'm sorry, but even with the echoing voice and the ability to breathe one of the most destructive forces in the universe, Dark Spyro is still adorable.

@Tyler Vincent I think Darkseid might have a slight edge. I imagine Thanos has super strength and durability, but we've rarely seen its limits w/out the Infinity Glove. On top of that, no one in the Marvel Universe comes close to matching Superman's strength naturally, yet Darkseid has. Also Darkseid's Omega beams are incredibly powerful too.

There were 2 different games, but i think as spyro you fought crash bosses and as crash you fought spyro bosses. And you could link them up to play vs each other. I don't really remember how that worked. I think you either raced eachother trought levels. Or you had some sort of pvp. I'll actually look it up! I remember it being pretty fun as a child

Just debunking some things: 3:20 Yes, it's actually effective. It's unfair to give realistic props to the wumpa weapons just because they use fruit as ammunition, if you stick it's actual feats, which I think it's the right to do, you'll see that it's shots can take out large machines and send enemies flying miles away. 4:54 The side note is wrong, being made of mojo or not doesn't have nothing to do with the jacking ability. Crash can use Aku Aku to jack and control ANYTHING they want. In the mobile version of Crash of the Titans, Crash was able to jack the Cortexbot, which is a machine and in the Gameboy Advanced version of the same game, he was able to jack Dingodile, Tiny and N. Gin, he was also able to jack Nina in the Nintendo DS version, which means that Crash and Aku Aku can even control other individuals, regardless if these individuals are mutated with mojo or not. 18:35 Regarding what was stated before, this another side note is also wrong, Crash could actually jack Spyro if he wanted. 19:07 I agree that Spyro is more versatile overall, but the gadgets used in the battle weren't the best choices to hurt him. For sample, the wumpa bazooka it's way more efficient than the mech suit, since it would give Crash better mobiliy and same firepower and as stated, the wumpa ammunation had good feats of destruction before. His jetpack and his space motocycle would also be way better than the copterpack, with those, Crash could take the fight out the atmosphere and there, he would have advantage since he can survive in the vacuum of space while Spyro can not (this was implyed in Spyro Orange, where when Crash and Spyro are about to go the final battle against Cortex and Ripto, The Professor said to them to take care about the vacuum of space and Aku Aku just stated that this isn't a problem for Crash, it's safe to assume that Spyro cannot do the same, since the advice came from The Professor, a character from Spyro world, in the first place and also there is no shown feat of Spyro doing this, in the mentioned final battle, he was safe in a spaceship together with Crash while Crash have shown this feat in previous games like Crash Bandicoot 2 and The Huge Adventure). 19:21 About the side note, it's not actually true. Indeed, Aku Aku was been defeated before, but only against enemies with strong hax abilities, for sample, the Evil Twins have the ability to warp the reality itseft. Yeah, there is also the occasion of him being captured at the beginning of Crash of the Titans, but it can be classified as an outlier, since Aku Aku could teleport out of the cage if he wanted as he shown to be able to teleport in the very same game. In theory, he could protect Crash from Spyro's Convexity/Aether Breath, since as gameplay wise, he can protect Crash from desintegrator beams in future levels of Crash Bandicoot: Warped, which if hit Crash without protection, will trigger a death animation of him vanishing completely, much like an atomic level destruction since it's different from the animation when he just get burned like in the arabian levels, for sample. I'm not saying that Crash should have won, this is just a debunk of some misinformation about the character and the series cited in the analysis.
This death battle was very tame compared to other episodes, but i actually prefer it this way. There wasn't anything out of character or too chaotic. No exploding planets or exagerating the rivals capabilities, which helped make it more believable, closer to source material
in a good way or bad way. cause if it's bad, keep in mind that these kind of shows are meant to be enjoyed, to have fun with, not always having to be 100% accurate 100% of the time, because that would require more time than Death Battle is allowed to have.
I know, I am saying that this is the best Info Dumb they have done to date. I particularly like the Aether vs Convexity bit. DON'T WORRY BOOMSTICK WE KNOW YOUR RIGHT!!!!

Samurai jack, can literly jump 100ft in the air effortlessly, lift up boulders AND while carrying one on his back... run across a country without stopping, tank giant lava golem punches etc etc... this is all season 1 stuff aint even talking bout his other crazy feats unlocked in later seasons ...
As soon as I saw Aether Breath in Spyro's kit.... I knew Crash was losing. It really is quite funny now that's the only thing Spyro had to finish Crash though.
Actually I kinda thought Crash would win with his durability and agility. When I heard them say "Spyro can't leave this form on his own." I thought "Oh, okay. So Crash is gonna kill him in that form."

The fact you didn't have crash's shoes survive the fire blast makes me disappointed for accuracy to my childhood
Considering this fight was made before Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time, I wonder if the Quantum Masks would have changed the outcome of this fight.
To be honest. I don’t think they would. The masks don’t do give crash any more options to hurt Crash. (The dark matter spin might, but I still don’t think it would be able to outright kill Spyro). The slow time can be countered by Spyro’s own. The one that changes the the tangibility of items doesn’t protect Crash and I doubt that would effect Spyro. And the reverse gravity would only give Crash more ways to move. So they would help Crash survive longer, but ultimately they don’t remedy’s crashes issue of lacking an attack that hurts Spyro

In the final battle against cortex in crash 4, cortex uses the masks against crash, and Crash isn't affected when cortex uses the time mask, meaning crash could potentially be immune to dragon time as well.

To me, this will always be one of the more unique Death Battle episodes as it was more of a matchup about durability than strength.
I mean, once they started showing off Spyro's stats I was already like "rest in peace Crash".

(nostalgic sigh) I love the Legend of Spyro trilogy. Collecting is fun, but I like combat more. LoS just doesn't get enough love, I think. At least, compared to Spyro's other adventures.

Y'know, despite the clear odds in the matchup and the relatively "tamer" scale of the battle, this was probably my favorite death battle I've seen so far. I found the character expositions here especially fascinating, and the battle itself was smoothly paced. The feel of the battle also suited the tone of both franchises pretty well, too, being fun to watch without having to go over-the-top. This was helped by the interactions and even the lead-in to the battle feeling legitimately believable!
I found it hard to choose who i aanted to win as I prefer spyro but crash is pretty likeable aswell

Crash has improved in recent years though, and even some of his old powers weren't taken into account. Like the wumpazooka he carries in his pocket (instant access to ranged attack), sprint shoes (speed doubles), triple Aku Aku (invincibility), and thanks to the latest installment, the Quantum Masks (reality shift, darkmatter spin, time dilation, reverse gravity). And most importantly, he can now actually speak quite eloquently and has the voice of a late night radio host.
If only they could see the future when making this

I'd like to remind you that having the force of an atom smasher does not mean EVERY MOLECULE OF YOUR BREATH IS AN ATOM SMASHER, which is what they were using for scaling. The Atom Smasher feat of his aether breath is NOTHING compared to a fall from orbit unless you use that ridiculous mischaracterization. Neither of them can hurt the other, but Spyro has been shown to suffer from exhaustion. Crash wins.

We both watched the same battle. Outside of the Aether and Dark Spyro, neither really had a clear advantage over the other. Sure, Crash had trouble hitting Spyro when he took to the skies, but it's not like most of what Spyro would throw at him up there isn't stuff he's shrugged off before.

@Tyler Vincent I think Darkseid might have a slight edge. I imagine Thanos has super strength and durability, but we've rarely seen its limits w/out the Infinity Glove. On top of that, no one in the Marvel Universe comes close to matching Superman's strength naturally, yet Darkseid has. Also Darkseid's Omega beams are incredibly powerful too.

There were 2 different games, but i think as spyro you fought crash bosses and as crash you fought spyro bosses. And you could link them up to play vs each other. I don't really remember how that worked. I think you either raced eachother trought levels. Or you had some sort of pvp. I'll actually look it up! I remember it being pretty fun as a child

Just debunking some things:
3:20 Yes, it's actually effective. It's unfair to give realistic props to the wumpa weapons just because they use fruit as ammunition, if you stick it's actual feats, which I think it's the right to do, you'll see that it's shots can take out large machines and send enemies flying miles away.
4:54 The side note is wrong, being made of mojo or not doesn't have nothing to do with the jacking ability. Crash can use Aku Aku to jack and control ANYTHING they want. In the mobile version of Crash of the Titans, Crash was able to jack the Cortexbot, which is a machine and in the Gameboy Advanced version of the same game, he was able to jack Dingodile, Tiny and N. Gin, he was also able to jack Nina in the Nintendo DS version, which means that Crash and Aku Aku can even control other individuals, regardless if these individuals are mutated with mojo or not.
18:35 Regarding what was stated before, this another side note is also wrong, Crash could actually jack Spyro if he wanted.
19:07 I agree that Spyro is more versatile overall, but the gadgets used in the battle weren't the best choices to hurt him. For sample, the wumpa bazooka it's way more efficient than the mech suit, since it would give Crash better mobiliy and same firepower and as stated, the wumpa ammunation had good feats of destruction before. His jetpack and his space motocycle would also be way better than the copterpack, with those, Crash could take the fight out the atmosphere and there, he would have advantage since he can survive in the vacuum of space while Spyro can not (this was implyed in Spyro Orange, where when Crash and Spyro are about to go the final battle against Cortex and Ripto, The Professor said to them to take care about the vacuum of space and Aku Aku just stated that this isn't a problem for Crash, it's safe to assume that Spyro cannot do the same, since the advice came from The Professor, a character from Spyro world, in the first place and also there is no shown feat of Spyro doing this, in the mentioned final battle, he was safe in a spaceship together with Crash while Crash have shown this feat in previous games like Crash Bandicoot 2 and The Huge Adventure).
19:21 About the side note, it's not actually true. Indeed, Aku Aku was been defeated before, but only against enemies with strong hax abilities, for sample, the Evil Twins have the ability to warp the reality itseft. Yeah, there is also the occasion of him being captured at the beginning of Crash of the Titans, but it can be classified as an outlier, since Aku Aku could teleport out of the cage if he wanted as he shown to be able to teleport in the very same game. In theory, he could protect Crash from Spyro's Convexity/Aether Breath, since as gameplay wise, he can protect Crash from desintegrator beams in future levels of Crash Bandicoot: Warped, which if hit Crash without protection, will trigger a death animation of him vanishing completely, much like an atomic level destruction since it's different from the animation when he just get burned like in the arabian levels, for sample.
I'm not saying that Crash should have won, this is just a debunk of some misinformation about the character and the series cited in the analysis.
This death battle was very tame compared to other episodes, but i actually prefer it this way. There wasn't anything out of character or too chaotic. No exploding planets or exagerating the rivals capabilities, which helped make it more believable, closer to source material

in a good way or bad way. cause if it's bad, keep in mind that these kind of shows are meant to be enjoyed, to have fun with, not always having to be 100% accurate 100% of the time, because that would require more time than Death Battle is allowed to have.

They did use different cannons for spyro... and actually took skills he had outside of the original trilogy - so it wasn't really fair.
