Made it for my employees at the hospital. I followed your recipe but added green onions, parsley, garlic, bell pepper, and celery cut up real fine as well as onion powder, garlic powder, a lil salt substitute, a pinch of cumin and pinch of creole seasoning. They LOVED IT! I made 35 of these and also had rice. Many came back for seconds. THANKS FOR SHARING!
You cook like me!!!! I am so glad you posted such an excellent recipe that I am actually cooking for my parents tonight 😃 Just a 54 year old lawyer, never married, never pregnant- just head over heels while cooking and caring for my senior parents in the interim. Thank you!!!🤗❤️
So cool. I cooked for my parents. My dad had kidney failure and was on a strict diet. Had to learn how to cook without salt as well as other restrictions. My mum lived until she was 97 years old. And cooking for her was one of my greatest pleasure
Made this 2x already using your recipe. First, with bone-in porkchops( loved it). Today, I used beef patties( regular) and it’s sooo good! Both times, I used beef broth- no regrets, beef broth(or bouillon cube)for me is more flavorful. I have a freezer full of porkchops and beef burger patties for this recipe alone and cans of mushrooms( if you couldn’t go to the grocery store to buy fresh mushrooms). Thank you for sharing this amazing recipe, my friends love it!
I absolutely love all your videos. I've made your corn casserole and it is a hit everytime at our potlucks. I'm going to make these porkchops this weekend for our dinner guests. Thank you.❤
So right! My way to cook large amounts of onions: Put all the cut & "de-ringed" onions in a large bowl & micro for 4 min increments, at a time, until done. Transfer to large heavy Skillet, 4-5 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook these nearly dehydrated onion rings Until caramelized. Perfect every time & a time saver! Same with mushrooms. Some cooks keep the "onion water" for use in gravies.
Thank you for the loin tip for slicing. ALSO thank you for the listing of the ingredients as well as the cooking instructions. I now have this on my list of making these chops in my slow cooker. Oops, also the printout link most help full.
This is how I make all of my pork chops - even on the grill. It's inexpensive and just so good. Thick is fine as long as you are using a thermometer to cook to temperature. I have never grilled a bad pork chop this way.
Sometimes we get pork tenderloin instead of pork loin, but I typically marinate and grill the pork tenderloin whole. The pork loin I slice thick 1.5-2" and grill or cook as chops.
You say wife cooks and the husbands will love this. Except I’m the husband that does all the cooking. I already make this but I cheat a bit. I use canned mushroom soup and some other things like bacon, caramelized onion, garlic and additional mushrooms.
I LOVE THE IDEA OF USING PORK LOIN CUT TO 1 INCH THICK AS I HATE SKINNY SEE THROUGH MEAT. THANKS. I WILL GIVE THIS A GO AS MY BUTCHER CUT ME ONE STEAK FROM A LOIN.
Yes, I'm trying it on Sunday 3-19. I don't have mushrooms (forgot them at the store) but I do have cream of mushroom soup. Gonna closely monitored the transition & thickness of the soup into a gravy. Probably have mash potatoes, corn and carrots. That is a big undertaking for my old, single behind. Covid has made me a better cook.... *Good Luck 👍*
Way to go... the portions of food in the supermarkets are getting to be an insult to our intelligence. They don't cut pork chops as thick as they used to. Looks scrumptious.
Looks great...making tonight...two things.... the drippings from the pork chops should have been added to the mushrooms for just a bit more flavor and when testing for temperature, it appeared that the tip of the thermometer was resting on the bottom of the pan. Of course it may be just the way it appeared, but that's a no no.
@@engc4953 Good for you. I like to cook rich and decadent meals from time to time for my parents as I never married nor had children - no abortions either. God bless you and all those you lovingly cook for.
Bring your chops to 145 and remove from heat. Allow them to rest a bit, with the gravy and all, for about 5min. Serve. Your husband will love more for that small difference. More tender, more juice, USDA approved. Temps have been recently revised and it makes a world of difference

Love to hear that! How did it turn out???
So I'll tell you your onions before you put your mushrooms in. Mushrooms have a lot of water they keep the onions from. From carmelizing

In the uk these are known as pork steaks as there are no bones. Looks like a tasty recipe.
Thank you so much, Tracey!
Wow so amazing dish maam Anthony!thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Ernest!
Making these bad boys tonight, I already know they’ll be a hit.!
Yay! Hope you loved the pork chops!
You say wife cooks and the husbands will love this. Except I’m the husband that does all the cooking. I already make this but I cheat a bit. I use canned mushroom soup and some other things like bacon, caramelized onion, garlic and additional mushrooms.
Yummy!
So glad you think so! Let me know if you make it!
Can this be done in the crock pot
I would cook the flour on the mushrooms and onions for a couple of minutes before adding the liquid.
What kind of oil ? Please
I LOVE THE IDEA OF USING PORK LOIN CUT TO 1 INCH THICK AS I HATE SKINNY SEE THROUGH MEAT. THANKS. I WILL GIVE THIS A GO AS MY BUTCHER CUT ME ONE STEAK FROM A LOIN.
Gracias.
What a bout side dish’s, What do i serve this with?
Root veggies are traditionally served with pig, especially roast…
Pork chops and rich gravy go really well with mash potatoes.
Equivalent please to kosher salt - I’m from the Uk. Great recipe btw 👍
What kind of salt are you using? I'll do my best ;) Thank you!
Can I use sour cream instead of heavy whipping cream?
Looks mount watering
They really are SO good!
Yum!
I would have to agree with that! Let me know if you try it!
Can I add some dry sherry?
Havent tried it but sounds like an upgrade to me!
Any chance you opening a restaurant here in Hawaii!!!👍
Oh my goodness! That would be amazing but I think I would miss my Texas life too much!
Yum
We think so :)
I still like to brine pork chops
Yu.....my! Thank you!!
Thank YOU, Diane 🤗
Can it be made with beef instead of pork?
We have not done any experimenting with beef, so I can't speak to that :(
So glad you don’t use canned soups!!
Can I substitute Cream of Mushroom soup?
Yes, I'm trying it on Sunday 3-19.
I don't have mushrooms
(forgot them at the store) but I do have cream of mushroom soup.
Gonna closely monitored the transition & thickness of the soup into a gravy. Probably have mash potatoes, corn and carrots.
That is a big undertaking for my old, single behind. Covid has made me a better cook....
*Good Luck 👍*
Please don't lol..! The whole point of this is to not use it for better flavor. And it really isn't difficult. It's just a little more time
We are pretty big on avoiding the "cream ofs" around here since it tastes so much better!
Way to go... the portions of food in the supermarkets are getting to be an insult to our intelligence. They don't cut pork chops as thick as they used to. Looks scrumptious.

Yes, definitely a no no! Just the way it looked on camera :) How did yours turn out?
Don’t need flour, heavy cream will thicken the sauce.
Yes you do
Yes you do!😊
@@Nicole-bj4dv I make sauces all the time and don’t use flour, more than one way to thicken sauces without using flour or starches.
@@engc4953 Good for you. I like to cook rich and decadent meals from time to time for my parents as I never married nor had children - no abortions either. God bless you and all those you lovingly cook for.
You might be right...but I like flour like my grandma made this.
Try it with pork steak even better it's more fatter and will not dry out as fast 👍👌🐷🐖🥘🍽🔪🍴🍺🍻
I would cook them in that pan on the stove top.
Don't need no stinkin husband...all for me!!! 😂

Interesting! Thanks for mentioning that!
Can you make this without the onions???
Yes you can :)
@@TheAnthonyKitchen Even better with shallots.
Cut slits in the fat around the chop so it doesn't curl into a bowl. You'll get a more even sear
Hey that was for the husbands lol
What's with the crazy hand movement?
I simmer mine alittle longer Fall apart
No need to cut your onion horizontally, It’s already segmented… Trust me on this
It ain't major big time man food if it ain't got a toasted croissant from Costco. Just sayin.
What, no fixin's? You have to have sides with this
I'm making this with loaded mashed potatoes...yum !
Not shown in the video, but add whatever sides you want!
Why is this MAN food? Are women not allowed to eat this? Why?
