The boat looks great Erik! Terrific job on the new rigging. (I'd rather be out in a storm than climb the mast to change the rigging!) Your arrival at Arendal was perfect. Much more graceful than mine! Have a safe trip to Greenland. I'm looking forward to following it with great interest.
@Sailing Winifred Thanks. We are allowed to sail locally in France now, but can't go anywhere. I am patiently waiting for a chance to get back out into blue water!
Hi Patrick, you are luckier than we Italians who for now cannot even sailing our waters. Furthermore, we cannot yet go from one region to another and those like me who have boats in another region have not seen our boats for months. Complicated situation. Hopefully next month we'll have the permission. So seeing Erik on a sailing boat is very good for the soul and even more seeing him sailing with my sailboat, because I have a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 42 i Performance ... and I see that she behaves very well in the North Seas and with a lot wind. I also look forward to your next sailing. Ciao. Claudio.
@@sailingadventuresofawelshm4710 I'm ready to go Richard, but all neighboring/destination countries have isolation confinement requirements for any visitors arriving. I'm waiting patiently for restrictions to be lifted.
Thanks a lot viking!!!! Lived in Norway 5 years ago near to Haugesund in a city Kopervik...felt in love with amazing norwegian girl, ahhh great times. You bringing some great memories back... Now I'm seaman myself but working in Netherlands canals, don't have any clue about sailing boats but totally admire you and your journeys. Keep it up Erik. You're such a legend!!!
Thank you Erik for a cool video! Now we know what she is capable of 🥺. Now it is up to the new captain to learn handling her. Once again Erik, thank you for your service. Lars and Wenche 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Erik, firstly, may I say that you are an inspiration for me. Last year I endured the most brutal 8 months of cancer treatment, concluding with surgery in October. Your videos and attitude to life helped me overcome some of the hardest moments of my life, and even when I eventually gave up, something inside of me burst out and decide that life was still too precious. You show what humans are capable of, once the fear monkey in the brain is put back in its cage. Take care, my friend, when my surgery is finished it'd be great to see Haugesund. I've only ever been to Trömso, but I know enough to know that Norwegian air and food will help me stay alive and kill cancer for good. Fairweather and seas my friend. Odin speed your wake

Great video. I like how you ran the roller furling lines outside the lifeline stanchions to keep the deck clear and have the emergency tiller at easy access. Very smart.
Erik, you have made some very good improvements to your boat. I like the way you resolved the water intrusion problem. It's nice to have a dry boat. You and Patrick have inspired me. I will be provisioning my boat shortly for another cruise through the Gulf Islands here in British Columbia. Things are beginning to open up again so it will be good to visit the small settlements on the coast. Best regards, AL Vancouver, BC.

And I guess the truth of it does not begin with sailing bad storms. So I will do it. I will try to overcome my fear to just live a long lasting dream. I will start to do the necessary sea licenses and will look for a boat. - You truly inspired me! Please do not stop making videos like this! Thanks for another great video! I enjoyed the sailing portions as always. I also enjoyed your "how I did it" portion too! And I cant forget the Patrick Lane docking segment! 😊
Great videos and such lovely music selections. So well done Thank you!
i love what you and patrick layne do, single sailing , real trips no commercial endeavour to keep you sailing ...just sailing...if a bit too north for my taste...
